It is a interesting subject. High risk high return. In my opinion, for ordinary people, whisky investment has aspects both hobby and money. They also expect future income but also pleasant experience. So if someone who is expert on whisky investment market go to cask. If not, just buy some bottles from famous makers.
I was put off with spam Mails from whisky cask investment companies and decided to invest in bottles, Macallan 18 sherry oak annual releases and other limited editions. Long term investment. With casks there are too many risks regarding exit strategies... I'd love a Grendonach cask though 😊
Theres been loads of casks appearing at auctions for sale over the last two year, and im sure well before that. But i have noticed an increase in cask sales between all the auctions im on just in the last two year, and casks of all different whiskies from Macallan to Springbank, and everything inbetween.
What's your opinion/thoughts on an Eden Mill whisky cask as an investment? They seem to be broadening their brand since being taken over by Inverleith LLP. New distillery due to open next Spring....
So after watching the whole video I’d say cask investments aren’t for me. Sounds like an absolute nightmare investment option. Better to just enjoy drinking it lol.
Look, people need to understand that tangible does not mean better. If you bad purchased bitcoin stocks hello even Microsoft stocks 15 years ago and did nothing but forget about it. You would be a million air. Whisky is not the best investment and anyone that says it is, is a fool. It's a good investment but there is better

How do you store the product?
Such a well, detailed explanation to learn everything you need for Casks! Keep making these videos 👏🏼
Great video and the message is clearly the market is unfortunately unsafe “stay away”.Buy a Talisker in Sainsburys and consume instead.
Thanks for making this video. It was very informative and helpful. Definitely guided the decision process for me.

Thank you for the video, currently on the island of Islay… with a 1-2k budget what bottle (s) would you invest in?
Is Midleton very rare a worthy investment over 10 years?

Hey mark, I had a question. Do you think that bottles are at a rock bottom right now ?
Depends on wider economy, state of housing market good indicator?
Main issue with cask investment at moment is the massive increase in supply from so many new distilleries
Never mix business and pleasure when it comes to investment
Whisky matures in a cask but not in a bottle. Therefore, isn't a cask more likely to be a better investment for 10 years?
Not when others are playing musical chairs with u
I thought the warehouses are already insured
Wath Do you think
dalmore 30y,bottelt 1969,mckansy Finishde,,Sherry ok?😂
21👍
If you follow the trend....your too late. Investment is not for everyone, find the trend before it's a trend if you know what i mean

As its unregulated then you do your own sums or trust the sharks out there who will very probably shaft you for every penny.
