Just putting this out there really quick. It hasn’t been told in the Anime but the Guild Ainz Oal Gown was a notorious pvp and pk guild. Basically Ainz knows pvp.

He can also make it so he conceals all of his magic, has many many more buff spells than Diablo, stop time, and summon a powerful undead army with more powerful undead than the fallen in How not to summon a demon lord. @@theonebeyondall7719 And keep in mind in his greatest battle with shalltear he was at a sever disadvantage because he wasn’t wearing his usual god level items, and he wasn’t using his staff of Ainz Ooal gown which not only buffs his stats tremendously, gives him access to even more spells while buffing his own, but can also automatically fight and respond to his will (revealed in the light novel).

Ainz is the head of the greatest guild in Yggdrasil, with extreme intelligence (no matter how humble he is) and cracked knowledge of pvp, players mindsets, and strategy in general. He actually had to struggle in pvp, as there were other guilds just as powerful before he was transported. Ainz literally soloes in every possible way.
Not only that, Shalltear would beat Ainz in a fair 1v1 but Ainz used strategy to beat an extremely bad matchup of slightly lesser strength which is something diablo did not ever need to do in his verse, giving experience to Ainz
No the guild was ranked 9th and the only reason ainz became the head is because of his passive nature and he was well respected and the guild voted on most problems. He wasn’t event the raid leader but it’s true that ainz did have a lot more experience pvping.

Don't forget Touch Me was a world champion and had the literal armor to show for it. They may have been ranked 7th but they defended their base from an invasion of thousands using only NPCs and just 42 members. Ainz Oal Gown was a STACKED guild.
Ainz has tremendous PvP knowledge, knows most strategies and was near unbeatable if it weren't for Touch me. Ainz also knows about 700+ spells he learned from his "dark wisdom" special skill. He also has world class items, cash shop items and wish upon a star in his arsenal. That combined with instant death, and time magic just makes ains absurd to deal with.

If I recall you could only learn a handful regularly, but his class specifically broke the cap. So they had that going for them too. They handicapped themselves like crazy and still got numbers. So there's something to be said there.
@@chillchinna4164 I wouldn't say they handicapped themselves so much, as a lot of non humans races seemed to have better passives than humans despite the latter being a more popular choice by far. They were super intelligent though, a lot of things in their arsenal, like Victim and Rubedo suggests they mostly fought defensive battles. Especially since lore wise, a player could at best could only handle three people of similar ability. That goes even for touch me.
Cap Momonga, who is a Magic Caster, has physical attack power equivalent to that of a level 30 warrior in Yggdrasil. As he has reached level 100 as a magician, there is little hope for him to increase his level or status as a warrior, even if he continues to fight and train as a warrior.While Diablo the highest level how not to summon a demon lord? He's at level 120. The only other person that over-leveled is Diablo, who is level 150.

I'm pretty sure that combo of magic was something that the man said that it was a common opener and can easily be resisted. Unlike Players that know how to do it, NPCs have no resistances or even knowledge since there are no "players" with high levels of skill or power in that world. Hence why every time Momonga does a common high tier spell, the mouths of every NPC around drops.

I think people are forgetting that Ainz would 100% use Wish Upon A Star to steal that ring Diablo has, and if he can't then that means it's equal or stronger than a World Item... And World Items cancel items that are equal or stronger to them. Ainz's funni little red orb in his ribcage is a World Item.

Putting a Guardian (generall as you call them) against anyone else is overkill. The guardians are level 100 along with Ainz and the highest level enemy that appeared on the show is level 50. So you can imagine how much of a 1 sided fight it would be

Well if he put on touch me's armor as uses the phenoix bow, he wouldnt need magic. Touch me is Called touch me, because his armor made him immune to almost all damage, and the bow ignores all magical deffends

Diablo has the advantage in magic spam because of magic reflection that's the point he was making he could pump out less cautious then ainz would have thats all he was saying. Also its true ainz magic is far more powerful than Diablo. However he is much more fluent bob&wieve and setting up magic mines whiles doing so. Ainz did so before hand against shalltear. Diablo does not have to that. His agility is just higher I guess to the point to where he can have a lvl 80 warrior striking at him and dodge well. I remember a fanfiction story where they did fight, initially Diablo has the upperhand at first as Ainz keep using spells after spells (then detecting them back or negating them) to experiment on which will take effect, when its clear that magic isn't cutting it, Ainz summoned multiple high tier undead (with some of them invisible) which basically put them into a brutal battle of attrition with Ainz winning.
Reminder that "the goal of all life is death" is a spell that buffs insrant death spells by bolsting range and bypassing all resistances and immunities being able to kill anything. The actual spell used with it in the show is cry of the banshee

The explanation of "Greater" magics negating other phisical and magical effects was done somewhere else (maybe When Nabe beat the Dragons? She wanted to flex that her magic that ignores magic immunity because she is much higher level than a Skeleton Dragon) I think that was the first time explaining Greater magics (not sure since it's been a while)

Another lore fact for Ainz is that in the light novel it's hinted that many if not all the things from Yggdrasil "the game he played in his world" after coming to the new world the abilities items and spell flavour text might actually be literal in that new world.
It would depend on the form because sonic has a wide variety of them. He even possesses forms that make him invincible and are considered godlike with his hyper form being the best. Sonic’s strongest feat is destroying a god that could exist in several places in time at once, with the help of his friends (its name is Solaris).
Ainz stopping time should've ended the debate. What's Diablo's ring gonna do? Reflect the time stop magic back? How will that even work? It's neither a single target spell nor a direct offensive spell. He just stops time, and even if it was how can the ring stop it, if the time around it has stopped including the ring itself?
There is also the part where Ainz's magic system is basically built on D&D and in D&D there is spell reflecting magic too but you can get around such magic which makes me believe that you could equally get around the powers of that ring too. It may just be as easy as not targeting Diablo directly but just having him be inside the blast range of spells. Also not to mention Ainz is actually a minion summoning specialist and those minions ain't weak he can easily overwhelm Diablo.

@@7hepenguinMan Diablo is strong? Yes. Hella strong. But he is more like a PvE Killer with some builds and knowledge about PvP. Meanwhile, Momonga and his Guild are all about PvP and Guild Wars. So even if Diablo had some problematic itens and skills Ainz have a "Out of the Box" and meticulous way to think. Even in season 1 he showcase this in defeating Shalltear that was "His worst matchup type of adversary".

The light attack ainz was hit by came from someone way weaker then him so that wasn't a good point he made despite the tear if there lvl is way lower then your you will hardly feel it. He doesn't just laugh in the face of his weakness. If we scale there lvls together 100 being max for ainz and 150 being maxed for diablo they his attacks will most definitely hurt ainz. 4. How much do you know of diablos gear do you only know ainz gear? Ainz has crazy gear but his isn't so shabby himself. His cape allows him to survive with 1 hp similar to a death knight passive. And immediately after his horns start steadily regenerating his hp.
I will now analyze the abilities of these characters. I know Ainz and more or less know what he is capable of. But I’m already very familiar with Diablo (I’ve read the entire novel). I won't take the strongest version of Diablo, it's not fair. Usually such battles occur during a random encounter and with basic equipment. So, Diablo and Ainz accidentally met somewhere and started a battle. I should say right away that Diablo has resistance to instant death. Physical Strength: Diablo is now a level 100 warrior. This is enough to kill people with hand movements who are capable of killing monsters 30 m long or 30 m high in the same way. For Diablo, it will be like fighting with fog. I don't think Ainz, without a perfect warrior, is capable of doing this. Even if Ainz becomes a level 100 warrior, Diablo can fly away and shoot AOE spells. Diablo can also dodge Ainz's attacks. Reaction speed: Shalltear has hypersonic speed, if I'm not mistaken, Ainz had a hard time dodging her attacks at close range. Diablo, as a level 40 warrior, could also react to hypersonic attacks until he encountered enemies that disappeared from his field of vision. This means that these enemies were faster than hypersonics, but Diablo could still evade their attacks due to predict. This means that even if Ainz becomes a level 100 warrior, Diablo, as a level 100 warrior, will be able to evade Ainz's attacks. BIQ and IQ: Ainz is good at preparation and when he knows everything about the enemy, then Ainz is expected to win. While Diablo is able to fight without knowing anything about the enemy, and at the same time be 3 steps ahead of the opponent, even if he is a hero who, due to his experience, is able to defeat enemies who can kill him with one. But, I give it to Ainz, he showed more. Ring of Reflection: The ring reflects all types of spells: AOE, healing, touch, invisible, object destruction, black holes, even spells capable of piercing worlds and a spell stronger than that. This means that none of the spells that Ainz uses will affect Diablo. TGOALID is a skill that gives the ability to ignore immunity for spells like: instant death. No the guild was ranked 9th and the only reason ainz became the head is because of his passive nature and he was well respected and the guild voted on most problems. He wasn’t event the raid leader but it’s true that ainz did have a lot more experience pvping.

He also has world class items, cash shop items and wish upon a star in his arsenal. That combined with instant death, and time magic just makes ains absurd to deal with.

Cap Momonga, who is a Magic Caster, has physical attack power equivalent to that of a level 30 warrior in Yggdrasil. As he has reached level 100 as a magician, there is little hope for him to increase his level or status as a warrior, even if he continues to fight and train as a warrior.While Diablo the highest level how not to summon a demon lord? Putting a Guardian (generall as you call them) against anyone else is overkill. The guardians are level 100 along with Ainz and the highest level enemy that appeared on the show is level 50. So you can imagine how much of a 1 sided fight it would be

Lets not forget he can also freeze lakes, tear reality apart with his 10 tier spell reality slash. He can also buff himself to increase his damage, defense, mana and everything in general.

Diablo has the advantage in magic spam because of magic reflection that's the point he was making he could pump out less cautious then ainz would have thats all he was saying. Also its true ainz magic is far more powerful than Diablo. However he is much more fluent bob&wieve and setting up magic mines whiles doing so. Ainz did so before hand against shalltear. Diablo does not have to that. His agility is just higher I guess to the point to where he can have a lvl 80 warrior striking at him and dodge well. The scene with the magic mines he did so against a guy a little over lvl 100. Ainz could do the same of course but he would has to mode change. Ainz is better then him in every regard that.
I remember a fanfiction story where they did fight, initially Diablo has the upperhand at first as Ainz keep using spells after spells (then detecting them back or negating them) to experiment on which will take effect, when its clear that magic isn't cutting it, Ainz summoned multiple high tier undead (with some of them invisible) which basically put them into a brutal battle of attrition with Ainz winning.
Reminder that "the goal of all life is death" is a spell that buffs insrant death spells by bolsting range and bypassing all resistances and immunities being able to kill anything. The actual spell used with it in the show is cry of the banshee

How will that even work? It's neither a single target spell nor a direct offensive spell. He just stops time, and even if it was how can the ring stop it, if the time around it has stopped including the ring itself?
Well the thing is, one reality Slash could end him cause it bleed people and cut them.
Hard to say really it reversed him being summoned and made him the master i don't know how that shit worked.
There is also the part where Ainz's magic system is basically built on D&D and in D&D there is spell reflecting magic too but you can get around such magic which makes me believe that you could equally get around the powers of that ring too. It may just be as easy as not targeting Diablo directly but just having him be inside the blast range of spells. Also not to mention Ainz is actually a minion summoning specialist and those minions ain't weak he can easily overwhelm Diablo.

@@7hepenguinMan Diablo is strong? Yes. Hella strong. But he is more like a PvE Killer with some builds and knowledge about PvP.
Meanwhile, Momonga and his Guild are all about PvP and Guild Wars. So even if Diablo had some problematic itens and skills Ainz have a "Out of the Box" and meticulous way to think. Even in season 1 he showcase this in defeating Shalltear that was "His worst matchup type of adversary".

will ainz win of course he will with out a doubt but, it's not gonna be some giant cake walk like most of these people are saying who haven't seen or read his stuff. People opinion of diablo is low asf for some reason sure the story is not as good because it 80% ech but damn. I see him putting up the say fight shalltear because he's a little more balanced then ainz rp build similarto shalltears build and he is smarter then her by a landslide.
1. most of his spells will be reversed.
2. his close combat is not bad at all for a caster. Ainzs is not that agile up close he has to mode change back and fourth between himself and perfect warrior to keep up with shalltear. Thats why I say his build is closer to shalltear. Not including LN 3 times he fought warrior 80+ and she was the weakest one mind and he can point point blank cast and dodge.
3. The light attack ainz was hit by came from someone way weaker then him so that wasn't a good point he made despite the tear if there lvl is way lower then your you will hardly feel it. He doesn't just laugh in the face of his weakness. If we scale there lvls together 100 being max for ainz and 150 being maxed for diablo they his attacks will most definitely hurt ainz.
4. How much do you know of diablos gear do you only know ainz gear? Ainz has crazy gear but his isn't so shabby himself. His cape allows him to survive with 1 hp similar to a death knight passive. And immediately after his horns start steadily regenerating his hp.
I will now analyze the abilities of these characters.
I know Ainz and more or less know what he is capable of. But I’m already very familiar with Diablo (I’ve read the entire novel). I won't take the strongest version of Diablo, it's not fair.
Usually such battles occur during a random encounter and with basic equipment. So, Diablo and Ainz accidentally met somewhere and started a battle. I should say right away that Diablo has resistance to instant death.
Physical Strength: Diablo is now a level 100 warrior. This is enough to kill people with hand movements who are capable of killing monsters 30 m long or 30 m high in the same way. For Diablo, it will be like fighting with fog. I don't think Ainz, without a perfect warrior, is capable of doing this. Spell: I noticed that no one really knows what Diablo is capable of. For example, the same White Nova is capable of destroying everything within its radius at the molecular level. Matoi Izuna's beam pierces the clouds and completely destroys the air. Diablo also has a black hole and at the same time it looks like a real one, because it sends the enemy to another dimension. And Diablo can also combine a spell of light and darkness, which will lead to an explosion capable of demolishing a small mountain with a shock wave and shaking the entire capital, and at the same time Diablo was closer to the walls of the capital. This is a giant beam capable of completely erasing a town. So this should be enough to kill Ainz and his minions.
Ainz has a resurrection ring, but the ring wastes experience, which is bad for Ainz. Ring of Desire: allows you to use 3 spells without spending experience, but Ainz has already spent one. There are 2 left, before there must be a limitation that we don’t know. But most likely he cannot affect the Diablo ring, because their value is comparable to world items, even superior. Ainz can win by taking all of his friends' items, like in the battle with Shalltear, and attacking from behind. In this case, the chances will increase greatly.
But, Diablo would defeat Ainz in a direct battle.

Overlord author is a veteran D&D player and most spell in Overlord is base on D&D , basically the whole series is a big D&D campaign.
Technically both of them have the magic of their own games. Ainz's game just has a way better powerscale since Levels and Exp themselves can be a resource for spells and such.
