I think it's great they're porting games like this to the Switch
But there's one change that'll make this the worst version in my opinion. You can see grave running when shooting. The original release had it where you basically walked when shooting.
I hear people didn't like that. And yeah at the start, it sucked cause you didn't unlock a lot of moves. But the slow walk really emphasise using everything in the moveset. Running and shooting encourages you to only shoot. The storm barrage moves would barely be used.
I haven't played the switch version. But I know from playing as Brandon Heat that they just made Grave more boring to play from one change

This looks like it runs surprisingly good. I tried this on Gamepass and didn't enjoy it but I still want the physical on Switch. Haha
This is a must buy on my list. I'll get the digital and the physical.
Thank goodness they fixed the blurry textures and resolution now. It was hideous at launch.

Really weird that they took out the gore in this version. Were the gore effects in the original release responsible for some of that game's technical performace?
Maybe so they could release it in japan? I can't even really confirm if the original gungrave gore came out in japan, but I know they often have problems with violent games. I read online the Japanese version of uea comes out a full 2 months after EU and NA so I don't know what that's about. But maybe it was a tenchincal reason cause why wouldn't they uncensor it for overseas? Unless europe also has a problem with gore? I guess we'll see when the NA version comes out in a couple weeks.

lol look at that internal resolution... I think its 720p or lower.

Projectiles still feel terribly slow. There is no sense of impact or collision in the explosions, when you get hit and on when you hit an enemy. Game mechanics feel weird.

@@jasonmartinez5116 well I'd understand that but I dont really see any see any blood besides the execution attacks...but during the executions the blood looked black to me.
Not that the blood is a deal breaker for my enjoyment...but the game does have GORE in the title 😭

As far of switch ports of ps5 games this I think they did the best job they could've. At least it's not anywhere near mk1's switch version

an earlier comment there was patch shortly after launch to smooth out the graphics and reduce the blurry look. I hope. I'm looking to get this tomorrow.

I don't see too many complaints about all the NES games on the Switch with NES looking graphics? or complaints about all the SNES games on the Switch with SNES looking graphics? or N64....you get my point. not every game has to look like BOTW or The Witcher to be fun to play.
