I used to think Canada and other western countries are safe. You can move around without any worry.
After coming here, I found it's similar to India. There are safe areas and there are unsafe areas. You still need to worry.
In my opinion, I felt safer in India (as a male). I never worried about getting stabbed while taking the metro or bus. It's not just the news, you can feel it for real.

Also, getting a job is not as easy as in India. Having a reference doesn't mean you will be gifted with a job. You will still need to give your 100% and be better than the other applicants. The only thing it will help in is getting your resume to a recruiter. Further steps depend completely our own performance.
@@dayanand098 Mai already Canada mein hu aur naukri Kar Raha hu yaha. Mujhe patha hai kaisa hai system yaha ka. Maine kidhar bhi yeh nahi kaha ki India mein free mein Naukri milti hai. Lekin India mein jitna recommendation kaam aatha hai yaha kaam nahi aayega. It is my suggestion for new comers, agar pasand nahi aaya tho ignore karo aur move on. No one is asking you to agree with me, it is just my opinion.

Honestly, the last part is very subjective as in it depends on individual to individual, the thing is if you are good looking, tall and have a good personality, basically if you are someone that women find attractive then yeah you would have a much easier time dating and hooking up here compared to ethnic countries BUT I am going to be extremely blunt here and warn you guys women of other races (specially white women) in general dont really find Indian men very attractive.
So, if you guys come here please for god sake dont be cringy/creepy to women of other races. Be respectful and understand that a no means no
I am not making this up, I moved out of India when I was 13 and have lived in UK, USA (undergrad) and now am doing masters in Canada.
Whites are in the bottom of the food chain and are seen with just about anyone and everyone. The Indian guy gets the best Indian woman!
Regarding earning, I think the experience will be different for different people. For someone in India working as a cab driver or electrician, migrating to Canada is like wining a jackpot that would change his life completely. For someone at junior level in corporate doing a mediocre type job may see 5x-7x increase in salary so he will still see improvement in lifestyle. However, if you are in a good job earning well in India and your income increase less than 3x by moving abroad, you would see more cons than pros. Many of my friends working in FAANG and other Big Tech companies in India are earning > 50L (in some cases over 1cr). They are not really interested to migrate abroad. Some working at senior level in MNCs even took internal transfer and came back to India.
Some older individuals with family moved to Canada partly for their children's future.

My personal experience is that in FAANG (or similar) companies the work expectations are the same in India or abroad. It's just that culturally people abroad manage their time better. In smaller local companies it may be different.

Just a note, a job is a job, it can be low paying or high paying for sure but it's not like good or bad. You could have put it in a better way. You said lot of people are doing "Good" jobs, maybe those guys don't even know how to drill a hole in a wall but a construction guy knows it. There should be no comparison. Everyone have different skillset.

Canada is very respectful and all conversations are based on respect and maintaining a physical distance. Anything beyond that will be interpreted as sexual harassment. Also you have to completely avoid looking at people in public spaces. It makes people uncomfortable, particularly women. As for public transit, even a glance can spell trouble. Absolute no touch policy and no innuendoes of any kind is permitted in the workplace, not even a compliment. The most volatile subject is skin colour which Indians easily use to discriminate. So better watch out, this is a land that protects the marginalized. Come here to live a decent and moral life. Anything seedy that happens, only happens in certain environment.

You can earn more in India only if you are from the IT field or in higher management.
Canadian professionals can make 3x to 4x those of their Indian counterparts. But Canada has higher cost of living and taxes. Some items such as environment (clean water and air), transportation, access to higher education, and gender equality are better than India.

Hey Gursahib, I don't know if you will see my comment but I still will write this saying that the medical is so bad, I recently cut my finger and I waited for 3 hours. I know it is free and they give preference to emergency cases but still, it is so bad I mean I have heard from my close ones that people have broken bones still waiting for multiple years. you can just imagine the pain and suffering one would be going through.
I knew a case where a person broke his leg and it was compound fracture (bone came out of the skin). That person waited for 8 hours in ER before being taken for the surgery.

I did project management myself. It will be a challenge if you don't write and speak properly. You are expected to do budgeting, proposals, change order, scheduling, meeting minutes, buyouts, subcontracting, shipping, supervising, forecasting, cost reporting, and entertaining customers. The problem with most project managers is that they didn't get promoted from bottom-up and have no clue how the work is done and how long a task would take.
