This recipe works! Lost those last 10 stubborn pounds but I developed a taste for the organic coconut oil & started putting it in ALL my recipes. Developed gut issues & doc said I was addicted to the coconut oil. After 4 months I'm back to normal gut health & super cautious of my intake of coconut. Too much of a good thing can be bad but learning the limitations of its use!!!

You have to get the good stuff though, from Sri Lanka. Much of the store spice section (Cassia type) has a substance called coumarins, which are toxic in high amounts.
I did the coconut oil, or mtc oil for the keto type diet and didn’t really change weight. I have the last stubborn 20 pound belly fat mid life spread. I’ve tried everything including hot yoga and weight training. Carnivore diet if I stick to it is the one that makes my belly fat budge off!
@ lol , no! I think my toxicity/ Candida from antibiotics and sugar has to get cleaned up more. Only 6 of 20 pounds came off in 6 weeks. So I started fasting 17-19 hrs and it’s been 4 days. I’ve lost nothing 😆😆😆. My friend lost 21 pounds in the 3 months we tried. She fasted 16 hrs daily and ate little (700-1000 cal a day ?) I lost 6! So frustrating

No, honey is almost indistinguishable from table sugar: half fructose, half glucose. It has the same affect on your insulin trigger and liver fat. In fact fructose is the reason so many younger people today have cirrhosis - the rise in sugar consumption. And the glucose is stored as body fat if not burned quickly. The trace nutrients in honey are too small to make any difference in health.

As much as I love honey… I no longer consume it because I’m a diabetic!!! Raises my blood sugar right through the roof!!! I use either Stevia, Truvia, or Monk Fruit and very little of those because I don’t like my coffee real sweet. Also a few drops of liquid Stevia vanilla crème is good too. In my coffee I use MCT oil, Ceylon Cinnamon, Kerrygold Butter, half & half and a few drops of liquid stevia vanilla crème. My blood sugar stays in place very well. Thank you God!!!

Honey does NOT lower blood sugar. It is literally sugar. While honey is a good thing for those without insulin/diabetic issues, it can trigger/worsen insulin/diabetes issues.
If you look it up putting raw honey into your hot coffee (I used to do do this as well) you’re going to lose all of the health benefits from it. You need to wait for your coffee to cool down before adding the raw honey so you can get the full benefits from it.

When you talk about cinnamon are you referring to "American" cinnamon (cassia), or Ceylon cinnamon (true cinnamon)? Because around 1900, the price of real cinnamon skyrocketed in Europe, and Americans switched to cassia. A little more floral, a little sweeter, but not as strong. We liked it and never switched back.
Ceylon is the true cinnamon, so best option, I would think. I saw a public warning today about 5 brands of cinnamon now showing metal toxicity. If it's not one thing, it's another. We can't seem to get ahead of the game no matter how hard we try.

In place of coconut oil, use some coconut water in place of some water in your coffee. It's good cholesterol (HDL) and it helps fight bad cholesterol. Coconut oil does the opposite and gives a laxative effect when you don't want it!

Besides, in the morning I also drink my “golden coffee”: heated milk (or water) with 1-2 tablespoons of kurkuma and a bit of fresh grained black pepper; also a great way for weight loss!
Coconut oil is used because it adds MCTs to your brew. Coconut water adds flavor & electrolytes. MCTs are so important to brain functioning , weight loss, and much more. You should read about MCT oils .

@@lindaszewczyk8186 , The reason why it causes weight loss is because it increases oily bowel movements, even when you least expect it! Also, it spikes cholesterol, both good AND bad. I'll stick with coconut water.

Yes, coconut oil has MCT, but not much. Why not put MCT oil in your coffee to get the maximum effect.
