+morgan hall hell no!!!! ryan tedder is the most passionate singer of this decade! HE came make you cry singing the phone book! now that's a passionate man! have you seen love runs out or counting stars? this man ALWAYS gives his all and makes you want to do the same!
This song is a perfect example of one of my favorite quotes: "You can sing a song to 85,000 people and they'll sing it back for 85,000 different reasons." - Dave Grohl
Maybe just because the tale is referring to a not well known "singular case": a guy that suffers and fights for his life, due to Cystic Fibrosis. I have Cystic Fibrosis and I understand very well. It's a fantastic video. Ps sorry for my rough language, nut I'm Italian
This song is one of the best I have ever heard, I am 28 years old, and I was just Diagnosed with Colon Cancer two months ago, I know that this fight has just begun, and I will do my best, from the first day of my diagnosis I started to listen this song, the hardest thing about this is not having your parents with you, my dad died because prostate cancer, I will do my best to win this battle and thank you One Republic for this beautiful song, which inspires you to keep going despite the pain you feel every day! "But untill my moment comes i'll say" I DID IT ALL
The song makes me so emotional. I really want to enjoy my life, go out, forget my problems and just have fun. But struggling with social anxiety makes it hard. I appreciate the life the best I can, maybe someday I'll be over that anxiety so I can enjoy life at the fullest.
When I was 30 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and told I had 3 months to live. That was nearly 30 years ago now. LIVE EVERYDAY LIKE YOU WERE DYING. You'll get more out of life than you could ever imagine.
Oh my goodness, Praise God that you’re still here. You still have so much purpose. I’m so happy to hear that you’re still with us. Make the most out of every single day, live in the present, stay off of your phone as much as possible, make friends in the strangest places, be grateful for every breath you take (bc it has so much meaning- every breath, is a protest to cancer), have faith, listen intently, learn, be compassionate and help others. I love you so much, and so glad that you exist. Praying for you ❤️
It sucks when you squander it because of anxiety. Then have all these regrets and sashes like if you died tomorrow it would be a waste 😢. I had fun but I could’ve done a lot more and it sucks because the pandemic made ppl stew in their regrets instead of going out to live life.
My 44 year old brother just died last week from ALS and I spent the majority of 2023 in the hospital fighting Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Life is fleeting and we never know how long we have. I cling to songs like this one. We must fully live every moment.
Life is short. Instead of listening to others, listen to yourself what you want and what you want to do. So that u can enjoy your life according to yourway
This is late and I don't know you, but you're comment just helped me with my anxiety attack I was just having... And I thank you for that. Hit me hard.
This is something i really agree with. Life is too short just for listening what people expect to us. we start our life in different circumtances, place, and situation. it is not relevant too compare ourself to others. so live our life the way we feel right
My dad died yesterday. I was in the room during that moment. That's my favorite musique. After his last breath, I played it and that was so beautifull and so sad at the same time
When this song was released all those years ago, my mother made me listen to it. It made me realize how this disease looks from the outside. Now, 9 years later I'm watching it again, and crying all the way. I just wanna say that you showed the impact of cf in such an amazing way thank you. My name is Jonah, and I'm 17 years old with cystic fibrosis
Love you brother. Don't give up. Live. And just maybe a better treatment will be found. Or a cure. That's what we all want a cure. For me it's for flHCC. For my daughter. She is NED at this time and she is living.
I genuinely believe songs like this have saved people’s lives or have encouraged others to go on and don’t give up on life. It’s amazing the power a song can have
My dad died on sep 12 of this year from a heart attack at 52 and this song was one of our favorite songs. I remember we'd jam down some country roads at midnight with this song on full blast. I had some outstanding times with him and he raised me so well and I love you so much dad. I cant wait to see you again ❤❤
I have a nineteen year old son with CF. it is so difficult. He doesn't like to go out in public because of his cough and he is skeletal in body. He is so brave though. He is my hero. What a terrible disease. What warriors. This video is such an inspirational one. Thank you to God that Sam has lived this long and come this far...and Thank God that this video is here and that so many people care. Thank you for giving the public an insight into this disease!
@@leonmiles1343 Cheers, lovely! I’m ok, honestly. Lost too many beautiful souls in a short time span. It takes time to sort through each death and realise my new reality but I have and there are so many beautiful souls around me that can’t be ignored. I try to see everyone or ring them as much as possible, I’ve found with age that the laundry will keep as will the dust. Just got back from a wonderful trip with my hubby of 25+ yrs.! It’s always fun falling head over heels in love again and knowing that we’re phenomenal even as empty nesters! 🤗💕
@@alwaysnohandle That’s exactly how I had to live for the past three years. One second at a time, then one minute, five minutes…until just recently. I always got out of bed at my usual time and didn’t crawl back in until bedtime though. It was very bad from what I’ve been told. I lost about 6 months. I truly lost that much time, no clue what I did after identifying my big brother’s body. I’m an only child now as the first born died the same as he did, 25 yrs apart. Then my aunt, who was a big sister to me, died with my mum following a few months later. Her heart was so broken. But just recently, something knocked me out of my pain and sadness, I’m sure God played a hand in it. I’m happy. I’m no longer broken. I’m going to be ok. I’m smiling as I write this. What a wonderful person you are to take time and encourage a complete stranger. Thank you 😊. I’m living now, not just surviving. It feels phenomenal! We just took our Christmas Tree down and packed up all the decorations this weekend. I wanted to keep it up and ENJOY the beauty of them all. I was singing while we were packing things up! My poor husband. He started crying because I haven’t sung in three years! I told him ‘hope you still like my singing because I sing all time again. Even started playing my piano again!’. He laughed and started singing with me. I have a whole new reality now but it’s ok. I can make it beautiful and full and that’s just what I’ve been doing. Oh and throwing out/giving away loads of stuff that piled up. I inherited all three estates. It’s a lot of ‘stuff’! It’s going to be one heck of a sale come Spring! 🤣🤣
I was raised with two older sisters with Cystic Fibrosis. When my oldest sisters lung functions dropped severely, she got a double lung transplant. This extended her life by two years before, in 2014, she passed away. This song was played at her funeral and I am eternally grateful to One Republic for donating so much towards CF research and for spreading awareness. Thank you, you have changed lives.
I’m so sorry to hear that. I wish she would’ve lived up until trikafta came along my sister has cf and is fighting for her life every day she can. I’m so sorry she could’ve lived so much longer and lived such a good life I’m sure she’s watching you right now :(
@@whore4mgk938 Omg so, my older sister that is currently living, was just able to get pregnant because of trikafta! It’s a miracle medicine. Tell your sister i’m wishing her well and that good things are coming her way :)
This song means the world to me. I am currently not diagnosed, I have lost my ability to walk and do most things. I listen to this song every single day. I jam way harder than I probably should to this song. It feels so meant for me. I will live no matter which situation I find myself in. This song gives me that courage.
I just realized that, this is not a song you can hear, this is a song you can feel, and I can feel it deep in my bones. I don't know why but it makes me shiver every time I listen to it.
I have cystic fibrosis. I am 13 years old and only have just known how long I have to live. And I'm sitting here, at 12am and crying whilst smiling and singing along to this motivational song.
It makes me sad knowing people have such a short time to live while I’m sitting here with no diseases no hay fever heck I don’t even need glasses and my hearing is amazing! I just want everyone to have and live the best they can!
They played this at the end of my graduation. Class of 2022, it was truly an honor growing up with you. Didn’t know how much I would miss it until now. You guys made the experience feel so much better than it was, and I wish you luck in whatever you do.
+Chani Jacobson It's just so damn true. And the next line is the perfect successor - I do believe that if you give your all to love, and it fails, that's when it hurts the most. But it brings the assurance that you gave your all. I'm grateful for that assurance. It reminds me I did my best. p.s. You posted your comment on the birthday of the person to whom I gave my all and failed. Interesting how life works.
My friend was killed by a drunk driver a few weeks after her 16th birthday. The week before the accident we had to do a presentation in class and part of the presentation was to pick a song that represents us. She picked this song.
this is such a great song to choose. I'm so so sos so sorry for your loss. i chose this song to play at my fathers funeral because this was his absolute favorite song and it represented him perfectly. i am always here for u to talk.
I have had this disease for 11 years. I was diagnosed when I was 2 years old. My older cousin has also died from this disease. This song really touched my heart. I have also done a nebulizer and a vest for all my life. I also know kids who have C.F. But when I heard this song I cried for about 15 minutes. So on behalf of me I would like to say thank you OneRepublic.
Stay strong, there are some amazing drugs that hopefully will be hitting the market soon. Also, if you haven't already, ask your doctor about participating in drug studies. My girlfriend is currently in one for a gene therapy drug. It really is absolutely amazing how much just 10 extra pills a day can change your health.
I know how you feel, My Brother and I have lived with this for 14 years and not many of my class mates know how much of a struggle it is to take around 3lbs of medicine a day, CF is a burden but I am grateful for how long I've lasted, I get complements all day about "go in through with everything I do without a complaint" and it's hard but rewarding. Good luck to you and sorry for your loss
This songs makes me want to step out of the house. Wear that short dress , shave my hair , kiss that boy , go on that creepy roller coaster , go on a world tour , swim in the middle of the ocean because when I'm old I don't want to stay in bed be like oh damn. I wish I did that. I want to make memories. Because when I die,I can say I swear I lived. I swear I lived.
This is why One Republic is that band that has integrity!! Giving back! Bryan.... you are absolutely a gift to this earth. Thanks for the tears of happiness and the reminder that life is the greatest gift on this planet.
Hope when you take that jump You don't fear the fall Hope when the water rises You built a wall Hope when the crowd screams out They're screaming your name Hope if everybody runs You choose to stay Hope that you fall in love And it hurts so bad (Yeah) The only way you can know You gave it all you had And I hope that you don't suffer But take the pain Hope when the moment comes, You'll say I, I did it all I, I did it all I owned every second that this world could give I saw so many places, the things that I did Yeah with every broken bone I swear I lived Hope that you spend your days But they all add up And when that sun goes down Hope you raise your cup I wish that I could witness All your joy and all your pain But until my moment comes I'll say I, I did it all I, I did it all I owned every second that this world could give I saw so many places, the things that I did Yeah with every broken bone I swear I lived Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh With every broken bone I swear I lived With every broken bone I swear I I, I did it all I, I did it all I owned every second that this world could give I saw so many places, the things that I did Yeah with every broken bone I swear I lived Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh Oh whoa oh oh oh oh oh
My wish is that this song to be played at my funeral and people would dance and be happy cause they will be at peace with the fact that I lived a full, happy and joyful life. This is what I want..for the people I love to be happy that I owned every second that this world could give.. I wish only happiness, amazing moments, laughs and tears (of joy or sadness-cause we need sadness too). Have a great life humans!
don't hate, I mean yeah its easy to hate growing up because of all the obstacles you encounter and you realize that it's not as easy as it were sometime.. but this song is meant to lift you up and inspire you to live your life in the best way you can, so use that emotions to have a different focus in your life and do exactly that! ( althought most of the work is on you, a song like this is meant for you to keep you in track ;) )
No, growing up makes us learn more from life and become more thankful of the things we have. We still have the good memories and can make more of them.
Growing up just means there is so much more you can do. You can learn anything you want, go anywhere you want do any damn thing you want and even better you have the knowledge to do these things, & you can look back on all the things you've done. I look like a boring middle aged overweight woman from the outside, but in my life I have lived on 3 continents, skydived, para glided, scuba dived and abseiled & god knows what else.. I've watched sunrises in Fiji, & sunsets in Iceland. I've traveled by cargo ship, dog sled & on a crowded bus with a cage full of chickens in third world countries. Growing up isn't the end, it's the beginning of a whole new chapter. Now assuming it's all over just because you're getting older, that's when it's all over. Hell growing up & growing old beats the alternative. I mean the boy video who will never get a chance to grow up.
I don’t have Cystic Fibrosis but I have acute bilateral brachial neuritis (a disease that attacks the nervous system ). And this song makes me more grateful for what I still have. It’s a challenge living with it but life is still great. Live everyday like it’s your last.
Who else gets so emotional while watching this video? Edit: Wow, thanks for all the likes! I wasn’t expecting it to blow up as much as it did (pun intended)
I am 25 years old and I have Cystic Fibrosis. It means so much to me that One Republic chose to raise awareness for this 💜. This disease is not very well known and is poorly funded. I hope everyone sees this!! And thank you Bryan 💜 !!!
I’ve been living with Cushings Disease for the last 17 years. I am Now 35. Diagnosis took 15 years. Removing the pituitary tumor didn’t normalize cortisol. It’s devastating to know you’ll spend every day you have left being sick. For a long time I was waiting to live. Waiting for my diagnosis, waiting for my surgery, waiting for my recovery to do the things I want and need to do. Life is short and so fragile. Don’t put your life on hold, even if it seems you should. We don’t get to go back or get more time. Live and exist the best you can each day. God Bless to all 🌷♥️
We all need to be like this kid, we all take life for granted, anybody could die tomorrow or in a week or whenever, who knows how long you will live. Do things like this and enjoy life more!!!
This song is one of the many reasons why I choose to fight and live despite every obstacles in life. I thank God every single day for my life and I thank HIM for allowing One Republic for making this kind of music ❤️ I love you, One Republic
ive been sick like fifteen years and i never give up one second of my life every night i was sleep and saying god please i love my family dont let me die ive been suffring for a realy long time but thank u god every thing now im very will and very healthy thank u god
I love this song... I too live with Cystic Fibrosis. It's a struggle sometimes, but I've learned to always look on the bright side of everything and appreciate the little things in life. Giving up is not an option, but it is sometimes hard to stay strong. I cried while watching this, I can understand what he is going through and the difficulties of CF. I'm honestly surprised One Republic made a song about CF, it isn't as common as many other diseases. This song also provides a lot of awareness for the CF Foundation which will help others living with this disease.
I cant imagine what its like to live with it, I salute to you and I hope you live your life to the fullest and I hope there will be experiences that no one else has experienced before.Never give up until the very end.
As someone living with Cystic Fibrosis, I just wanted to say how much this video and song resonate with me. As an author and artist myself, I draw so much motivation and inspiration from works like these. It’s the power of music and art that keeps me going, reminding me that I'm not alone in this journey. Thank you for creating something that speaks directly to the heart of our experiences!
I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when I was 8 weeks old , I will turn 18 next mount and still going strong .There are not enough words to describe how much I thank you for raising awareness of the disease. There are so many people and especially children who draw so much inspiration and strength from you. thank you !!
No one actually respondes to you if you have the CF do what the song reads, live your life til' the final second! Hope cure will be soon! I'll pray for all people that has this hard illness. Bless you son! ;)
Use every second you have to "live" and accomplish your dreams. Stay strong and if you feel down at all, listen to this song. Anybody with this illness deserves an award.
He’s actually a Christian (as far as I know - he sure acts fairly Christlike), so his faith probably influenced the lyrics. I get the message that every life is worth living for, because God put us here on this earth. Even if we are nearing the end of our lives, we should enjoy the family and friends He gave us for the time being.
I lost my one and only best friend this year. 2 months ago. I'm still crying but I hope he is in a better world. I feel robbed.... But I'm comforted that HE LIVED, HE DID ALL!!
@knowles the beauty of losing someone is you never really lose them, they will always be apart of you and your life. And you have your whole life to have more best friends, lovers, and family. My cousin was killed by a drunk person on her 19th person, so I know this pain is not easy. But, he would want you to still live for him and his memory ❤ So live and make it worth it! Then, one day when you see him again, you can tell him you lived! For both of you ❤❤❤ Take care and never be afraid to ask for help or seek therapy. One day you will find healing, and it will not take away the pain, but you will see the beauty of grief and how it heals us and makes us grow to love even more ❤❤❤
I’m sorry for y’all’s losses. I lost my cousin right before her 20th birthday to a drunk driver. Seeing my family in pain was the hardest thing. May you find peace during this time, much love on your journey. Fly high with the angels!💜
@@playdough691 this is so hard... The encounter with death is scary and gives light to what is important in life. I've tried opening up to get a new bff but it's hard. I'm projecting a lot of emotions and sentiments which are not felt both ways.
I know some won’t believe this, but this song is the most important song in my life. I had depression and suicidal thoughts for 4 years. It felt like no one wanted me, my school didn’t let me hang out with my friends, I was getting beaten up every single day, my parents were quite abusive, and life was just not worth living to me. I texted my friend Mark that I was going to end it all. He sent me this song, and after listening to it, my whole life changed. This is one of the most inspirational songs of all time, and I give everything that happened in my life in the past 3 years to this song.
a monster that has no idea about love ..and that is not a monster ! that is a shame and sad .after all the meaning of life is love. and this song " SAYS IT ALL"
@AlexasinStealth Gamingthe boy is suffering cystic fibrosis. It shuts down the lungs very slowly and it will eventually kill them within the next 30 years most definitely.
Kevin Hughes the meaning of life isn’t about love, it’s about being born, repopulating and dying. that’s the humans purpose on earth, just like every other living thing. remember it. birth, sex, death.
Last year, I lost one of my best friends to Cystic Fibrosis. He always wanted to make people smile and was a very gentle and kind soul. He passed away at the age of 29 and it pains me to this day. There isn't much awareness about this. Thank you so much for raising that through this video. That's one of the reasons you are my favourite band. Keep up the good work One Republic!

One Republic just has that, pop that no other band has. You actually feel like they put feeling into their songs. I feel the songs emotion, and I love it. Most songs today just talk about a love story, that's it One Republic passes this and talks about the little moments in life, that, in my opinion is why One Republic is so amazing. I hope no one else realizes this and One Republic can be one of the few bands that I actually love
This song hits different when you actually went through so much in your life that you literally can't believe the fact you're still alive and fighting . It's like every single word is talking to you and encouraging you to scream at the the face of fear , pain , your past , your bruises and scars , every battle and heavy fight , every one who's questioned your power and stamina , and basically life itself , with a proud tear in your eyes : I SWEAR I LIVED.
Thank you One Republic and to Brian who was brave enough to share his story through this song. This, I felt, is the song that needs to be shared, specially with our youth (and parents) today. If each child had even half the grit and courage that Brian has, imagine what the world would be like. It also reminds us adults and parents our goals of helping the kids be brave and open up to all of life's experiences, not sheltering them but equipping them to be ready for life's tempests when they come. Godbless!
Agree and I hope this song well live till the year 3000 bc I know there would be war but this song well be a good song till the world ends. “Freedom is key” -dantdfd
My daughter is now 8 years old. She has cystic fibrosis. Ever since you launched this song… I’ve made sure to pick her up and dance to this song… wether we’re at home or in hospital. She absolutely loves it. Thank you so much for all the memories I’ve created with her so far. She is my biggest hero.
This is one of the most underrated songs I know of. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Its kind of sad but in the end it feels like a hug. It inspires us to see all that there is to see, and feel all that there is to feel.
I lost a friend due to this vile illness. His name was Keith and was the sweetest person on this earth. He was a music major with a love of English, and we and our other friends spent so much time laughing, brainstorming and creating the greatest papers of our lives. It's my favorite class, and I'll never forget him. He never shared he had this diseased, but I always remember him coughing. I used to call him the "Keith Cough" and hearing that familiar cough would let me know his wonderful presence was in the building. Two years ago, Keith committed suicide. It was one of the worst things I've felt ever. That's why I found out he had Cystic Fibrosis. Apparently some nights, you can't breathe and it feels like you were dying. Apparently you really do feel like you're breathing through a straw... I feel like I could've done something and it still traumatizes me. I love you, Keith Wilson. Thank you for being a real person and a great influence in my life :)
Being a high school senior about to graduate in 36 hours I’ve had this song on repeat all week. I’ve listened to it for a couple years now but it’s meant something different to me lately. A chapter of my life is closing and although I’m excited for future I wanna look back on my high school years and childhood in general and be proud of what I’ve done. Academic achievements, sports I’ve played, friends I’ve made, people I’ve dated (for better or for worse), bonds I’ve built, all of it. There’s some things I maybe should’ve done differently but when it’s all said and done I wanna look back and be able to say that everything I’ve done has made me who I am today. No matter what I did, whether good, bad, funny, or stupid, it all accumulated to where I’m now standing. I wanna be able to say I truly made the most of everything and just LIVED. And if for some reason any other high school senior is scrolling through these comments and reads all this I wanna just say good luck. Don’t dwell on your past. Be thankful for the trials because they’ve battle tested you. You’re stronger because of them. Don’t spend time looking in your rear view mirror that you miss what’s in front of you. Be proud of everything you’ve done 💯
I just graduated our son two months ago. We homeschooled it was the most rewarding experience in my life to watch our child grow and learn throughout the years beating all odds. Just to let you know the next 20 years (if we are still here) will fly by fast-This is coming from the Class of 01'. Just take it one day at a time and don't let anybody tell you NO!
This is how I feel about this song, as a 2023 High School graduate now starting college, we’re entering a new era in our lives.. it’s scary but recently discovering this song it keeps me optimistic ^^’
Dear reader, I admire and look up to you. You are incredible. You are a lovely human being who was placed on this Earth for a reason. 💖I have different disorders and physical problems and I don't let them slow me down. Neither should you! ~ Mika and Joey! ❤️
This was in my 5th grade graduation slideshow, I was feeling like crying, or I did. I feel like crying right now. It's been 2 years since then. TAKE ME BACK TO 5TH GRADE!! :(
Nearly 10 years ago, I heard this song for the first time and it inspired me to push for my dream, travel and live my life to the fullest. Today, I have achieved my dream to be a veterinarian, travelled the world, picked up scuba diving n become a divemaster and met so many people. Looking back, it brings me to tears that I managed to keep that goal and I continue to come back to this song when I need a bit of inspiration and motivation.
A lot of people don't even know what CF is, and how many people it affects. I am a carrier of the recessive gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis, and both my older brother and sister have CF. 3 years ago my sister lost her battle at the age of 20. This video struck a cord with me and my family, it made my mom cry in a postive way of course. This is so great to see some important people in pop culture do something about it, and informing this generation, so that CF research isn't put in the dark. Thank you One Republic for giving a damn. Well done!
This song will be played at my funeral and both my kids weddings. I could sit here and listen and wipe my eyes every time I hear it. And I love every minute.
I'm Eli. I have lived with something for so long I was afraid to talk about it. I was sexually molested growing up. I have been threatened my whole life, and I have been abuse in every way. I attempted suicide but it didn't work. I have lived in the shadows of all this for a long time. Slowly drowning in my pain but each time I hear this song I am motivated to want to live. Thank you for this song. Maybe there is someone like me reading this and going through what I have gone through. No matter who you are live life to the full don't kill yourself and know that you are not alone.
stay strong love, you’ll get through it ❤️ your loved and appreciated, and even though it may not always feel like it, you are. sending love to you ❤️❤️
I'm leaving in March. Quito in Ecuador is my first stop. I'll keep a travel journal with me about my experiences but I don't plan on keeping a blog. Too much work. The point of my trip is NOT to work.
Tony Chan good luck man . Hope you see everything you have been wanting to see. If you'd Like more inspiration I recommend watching secret life of Walter Mitty.
my sister has cystic fibrosis and that was hard this year she was put on a drug trial and we learned she had burkholderia cepacia (its resistance to all antibiotics) and me learning that broke me because me and her are close we use to be up at 12AM talking abt life and sad shit we had deep talks she told me she wants to see me go to prom and walk across the stage at graduation for high school and collage she told me cystic fibrosis doesn’t control her recently her g-tube got infected and she had to have a surgery (i forgot the name of it) and her lungs were not ready for it avery thank you for always believing in me and for being the best big sister i could have you’ve always seen the good in people no matter what thank you for holding my hand at everyone of my surgeries and for being there when i wake up thank you for never leaving my side you were a person who didn’t let anything define you and i’m always gonna be proud of you i know your always looking down on me and i love you i wish you didn’t have to leave but you did and it’s hard to get use to but i’ll make it.
I heard this song the night it came out and I love it as much today. I'm sorry you joined the club of sisters who've lost sisters. It's a club I wish I'd never been indoctrinated into and wouldn't wish upon anyone. I suppose I say this so you know there are people out there that Know. They know exactly what and how you're feeling right now. Again I'm sorry. You are going to be ok. Promise❤.
This man is a rare generational talent. theres not many singers out there that can convey genuine emotion in his voice and within the lyrics that can be a single song but can mean so many different thing to so many different people at yhe same time a truly outstanding band
We are so spoiled... there are so many people out there, struggling to breath, move, talk, yet they find a way to enjoy life. Meanwhile some of us complain about the most meaningless things
Honestly, its so easy to forget how blessed we are, even down to the most simple things like seeing and hearing and we take it for granted not even realise how lucky we are to be given those gifts
My uncle passed away from brain cancer april 6th. I just heard this song yesterday and it was so inspiring. Even when he was in pain and stuck in bed he was still super upbeat. This song reminds me of him. Thank you so much.
My wife has CF and will turn 50 on November 2nd of this year. So much happening in the treatment and this story really shows how living makes all the difference in the world. Diana has worked as a Paramedic for much of her life and so many are alive today because she lived. God Speed and pray for a cure!
That's wonderful. I too have CF I'm 37yd. She sounds like a very positive person. A very inspiring to know age is how you take care of yourself. Thank you for sharing.
New OneRepublic album coming May 8th. Hopefully by then they’ll have a vaccine for corona and summer will be epic. You can’t say 2020 is terrible till you seen it all.
So no one is going to talk about EVERYONE that died from the Coronavirus? Kobe wasn't the only one that died. Just lets aim our prayers to everyone that died *not being rude tho*
"I owned every second that this world could give. I saw so many places the things that I did. Yeah, with every broken bone, I swear I lived." 🎶 This song gives me hope and my healing. OneRepublic is my favorite band ever since 2010. Their music is my stress reliever and it gives me a good vibes everyday when I'm listen to their songs. ❤
Here is your reminder. My mom is battling cancer. I sent this song to her when she was first diagnosed. She was doing well for a couple years but recently the battle has taken its toll and I'm unsure if she will survive the year. I'm not sure why I'm saying this here. Perhaps it's these damn truly's making me emotional. Fuck it. It is what it is. Cheers to the memories. Got to make the most of the time I have. This song has me fucked up right now.
My little boy was born and diagnosed with CF soon after this video came out. It is amazing how much has changed in only nine short years. We continue to have so much hope for his future thanks to ground breaking medical research and the unbreakable will of the CF community. I applaud you, OneRepublic, for sharing such an amazing song with the world! Thank you! 💜
I struggle with clinical crippling depression and crippling anxiety, and I promised my self I won’t give up, because I haven’t done everything yet. This is my theme song bc I try to recently take every chance and live my life like it’ll end tomorrow
Have hammer smashed face by cannibal corpse be your theme song. I have dysmythia and schitzophrenia, it helped a lot. Also destroy what destroys you by kreator is also motivational
Did anyone else cry listening to this song? Or am I an over emotional person?
I did to :(
+morgan hall it always leaves me teary eyed and smiling.
+morgan hall hell no!!!! ryan tedder is the most passionate singer of this decade! HE came make you cry singing the phone book! now that's a passionate man! have you seen love runs out or counting stars? this man ALWAYS gives his all and makes you want to do the same!

You are not alone. I was on my way to work and I had to contain my tears.
This song is a perfect example of one of my favorite quotes:
"You can sing a song to 85,000 people and they'll sing it back for 85,000 different reasons." - Dave Grohl

This is really true
Wow that hits home

Why this song is so underrated? It deserves all the recognition.
I cry whenever I watch the video
Couldn’t agree more.
Maybe just because the tale is referring to a not well known "singular case": a guy that suffers and fights for his life, due to Cystic Fibrosis. I have Cystic Fibrosis and I understand very well. It's a fantastic video. Ps sorry for my rough language, nut I'm Italian
I completely agree. My 16 year old nephew has Cystic Fibrosis....he was diagnosed at 8 months. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
Why is onerepublic underrated?
This song is one of the best I have ever heard, I am 28 years old, and I was just Diagnosed with Colon Cancer two months ago, I know that this fight has just begun, and I will do my best, from the first day of my diagnosis I started to listen this song, the hardest thing about this is not having your parents with you, my dad died because prostate cancer, I will do my best to win this battle and thank you One Republic for this beautiful song, which inspires you to keep going despite the pain you feel every day!
"But untill my moment comes i'll say"
I DID IT ALL
Sending you so much strength and good thoughts as well. I’m also here from their IG story ❤
Sending you love and strength!! You're a warrior 💜
You're in my prayers to get better and win this cancer 🙏💪❤️
You have a long way to go but i hope to see you on other side my friend. Good luck with your journey.
I wish you the best of luck.
From another young Survivor, Yes we did
The song makes me so emotional. I really want to enjoy my life, go out, forget my problems and just have fun. But struggling with social anxiety makes it hard. I appreciate the life the best I can, maybe someday I'll be over that anxiety so I can enjoy life at the fullest.
Sophie B I also have social anxiety. I also hope one day I will get over it be able to enjoy everyday to its fullest.
i hope you'll get what you want in life💜💜 dont know you but love you 💜
It’s really just in your head, try to go out there and be confident! If that doesn’t work then accept the anxiety and make the most of your life 😁
Lord Jesus cares about you. Seek Him and his kingdom first. He loves you and longs for you. Look up for it is there where Your help comes from.

Praying for you ❤️
May God bless you and you have a happy long life ahead ♡♡
rest in peace in heaven ;)
@@ClawBuckle they're not dead wtf
It sucks when you squander it because of anxiety. Then have all these regrets and sashes like if you died tomorrow it would be a waste 😢. I had fun but I could’ve done a lot more and it sucks because the pandemic made ppl stew in their regrets instead of going out to live life.
My 44 year old brother just died last week from ALS and I spent the majority of 2023 in the hospital fighting Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Life is fleeting and we never know how long we have. I cling to songs like this one. We must fully live every moment.
I’m so sorry💕
Life is short. Instead of listening to others, listen to yourself what you want and what you want to do. So that u can enjoy your life according to yourway
This is late and I don't know you, but you're comment just helped me with my anxiety attack I was just having... And I thank you for that. Hit me hard.
Good way to show how you dont like the song. I could do that next time I hear I song i dont like
This is something i really agree with. Life is too short just for listening what people expect to us. we start our life in different circumtances, place, and situation. it is not relevant too compare ourself to others. so live our life the way we feel right
So needed to hear this.. thanks
So true and so needed, Thank u!
My dad died yesterday. I was in the room during that moment. That's my favorite musique. After his last breath, I played it and that was so beautifull and so sad at the same time

Still don't understand why this wasn't nominated for a Grammy.
Most likely politics as usual.
Because onerepublic isn’t gay and/or black
Grammy is taylor swifts personal prize so
refused to write the cheque for it
Thanks to the Weekend, we know it now 😂
When this song was released all those years ago, my mother made me listen to it.

Nancy Nabeel your very welcome.
Well said!
Everything will get better 🙌🏼 , saludos from México
I cant imagine what its like to live with it, I salute to you and I hope you live your life to the fullest and I hope there will be experiences that no one else has experienced before.Never give up until the very end.
I live with cystic fibrosis for my whole life and I'm vary happy to say thank you to the people that donated to CF😊
Why be surprised? Embrace the fact they did write and sang a song....One Republic is an awe-inspiring group of singers.
Sad that it is the fear of death that reminds us that we have something called life.
Interesting, if you fear death, you muat also fear living. These are equal, one cannot be without the other. Ying/ Yang. Like the rainbow🌈.
The fear of death is what keeps alot of people from living.
❤❤❤
Anybody with this illness deserves an award.
this song is so underrated
What? 40.133.306 visualizations in UA-cam and it sounded for a long time on the radio... Where is the "underrated"? :S
No it ain't
-_-
Sonia Rodríguez if you had a child with cf and understand the meaning of the song you would think completely different
Shut up! I have cf and I know what this actual means
Tedder's songwriting skills are extraordinary.....that's all I have to say
***** and that this song should have at least 100 million views, as well as every other song he and them release/d!
I fully agree! he is blessed!
🕊️🙏❤️
@@valentinlbc3878 thank you💘
@knowles the beauty of losing someone is you never really lose them, they will always be apart of you and your life. And you have your whole life to have more best friends, lovers, and family.
My cousin was killed by a drunk person on her 19th person, so I know this pain is not easy. But, he would want you to still live for him and his memory ❤
So live and make it worth it! Then, one day when you see him again, you can tell him you lived! For both of you ❤❤❤
Take care and never be afraid to ask for help or seek therapy.
I know how some of that stuff feels and I can say it is the song that you have to listen to when you are depressed it helps a little bit
this song is so touching why isn't it popular as it should be ?
What monsters disliked this?
This song is incredible!
Bryan is so strong and brave!
a monster that has no idea about love ..and that is not a monster ! that is a shame and sad .after all the meaning of life is love. and this song " SAYS IT ALL"
@AlexasinStealth Gamingthe boy is suffering cystic fibrosis. It shuts down the lungs very slowly and it will eventually kill them within the next 30 years most definitely.

So sorry for your friend
Lyrics:
Hope when you take that jump
You don't fear the fall
Hope when the water rises
You built a wall
Hope when the crowd screams out
It's screaming your name
Hope if everybody runs
You choose to stay
Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad
The only way you can know
You give it all you have
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain
Hope when the moment comes you'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Hope that you spend your days
But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup
Oh, oh
I wish that I could witness
All your joy
And all your pain
But until my moment comes, I'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh, oh, whoa-oh-oh
(With every broken bone)
I swear I lived
(With every broken bone)
I swear I
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh, oh, whoa-oh-oh

One Republic just has that, pop that no other band has.
You actually feel like they put feeling into their songs.
I feel the songs emotion, and I love it.
Most songs today just talk about a love story, that's it
One Republic passes this and talks about the little moments in life, that, in my opinion is why One Republic is so amazing.

Ohh man I'm not the only one 😭, thank you 💙

Thank you One Republic and to Brian who was brave enough to share his story through this song. This, I felt, is the song that needs to be shared, specially with our youth (and parents) today. If each child had even half the grit and courage that Brian has, imagine what the world would be like. It also reminds us adults and parents our goals of helping the kids be brave and open up to all of life's experiences, not sheltering them but equipping them to be ready for life's tempests when they come. Godbless!

Thank you for sharing that :)
It was my pleasure. I miss him so much.
Thank you 😔

Well done!
That's so sad! Hopefully you, your siblings, children, nieces, and nephews don't get SF! Stay strong and pull through!

True true
We are so spoiled... there are so many people out there, struggling to breath, move, talk, yet they find a way to enjoy life. Meanwhile some of us complain about the most meaningless things
Honestly, its so easy to forget how blessed we are, even down to the most simple things like seeing and hearing and we take it for granted not even realise how lucky we are to be given those gifts
It’s human nature.
