I literally couldn’t find this song for 12 years. I heard it in the radio when I was like 5 and it stuck in my memory but I didn’t know the title. For years i’ve been listening to old music in order to find it but i somehow didn’t. I didn’t even remember whose it was. I would sing it to friends but they didn’t know it. And now I’m sitting in bed at almost 1 am and i found it and i’m crying and laughing and i’m so happy but i can’t scream because everyone is asleep and I just wanted to share this moment here.
I'm 28 with absolutely nothing going on but as an introvert Im ready and itching to risk it all , take a singing class, meet 5 people on purpose, start a church band and recreate this masterpiece. It's just too relatable and makes sense.

This song is very special to me, likely for a similar reason to you reading this. I remember this was one of those songs that would come on 97x Tampa quite a bit, but I didn't give a shit. That snare drum line is still fire in 2024. I love that Eddie is relying on the snare and kick drum for most of the song. In all the drum covers I've seen on UA-cam, I don't think anyone has caught on to the rolls that Eddie sneaks into the texture. (For that matter, I don't think Eddie does them in concert,) Those rimshots on the backbeat and the fills sound great. MWAH! Props to the engineer and to whomever miked the kit.

That snare drum line is still fire in 2024. I love that Eddie is relying on the snare and kick drum for most of the song. In all the drum covers I've seen on UA-cam, I don't think anyone has caught on to the rolls that Eddie sneaks into the texture. (For that matter, I don't think Eddie does them in concert,) Those rimshots on the backbeat and the fills sound great. MWAH!
