Hey Cole thanks for the shout out. Congrats on your new PB great running 👏 When I checked the results I was 3rd V40 new PB of 72 minutes and it was only my 3rd ever half marathon 😊
Like you I usually chat to other runners when lining up - well done on your recent races - also like you I ran the London 10,000 and I was really happy to finish 1st MV70-74 with 47:23 - I usually have a 500 ml bottle of (original) Coca-Cola when I finish a race - must be a Kent thing (I run for Istead & Ifield Harriers).
Amazing work Cole. I loved the cold on the day, and managed a 1:33 which I was happy with as my first-ever half-marathon race. Onwards and upwards, letssss goooooooo!
Hey Cole! New runner here. Recently ive done a couch to 5k plan, and after that, i followed your 5k training plan. Today i ran my first race in 30:03, which is 8 minutes faster then the first 5k i ran in training. Thank you so much for your work and dedication!
Very well done on the race Cole your 13.1 form is really good at the moment , I thought GNR would have been a tough one to beat .. but you were again on point. The temps and course were close to perfect. Regarding the warm up anxiety with the pro's you are not alone .. the other day post Chicago marathon Meaghan (BITR) had the same thing being in the pro tent at the start. You earned it , you own it mate (I am sure, your parents would say the same) ..and as you said do what you do. Re Salford it's pronounced closer to Saulford rather then using traditional short 'a' sound.
Well done Cole, brilliant run and that's some pb. I find similar with my heart rate in a half and full marathon. It sits in the 150's eventhough my legs are in pain but means you were in your comfortable/steady zone.
I did Manchester with a huge 4min PB. Loved it and you are right it wasn’t totally flat. Great news on your PB Cole I’m so pleased you were able to achieve that.
Lovely stuff Cole! The promise of a chilled Pepsi Max undoubtedly spurred you on to a cracking effort, along with your support crew shouting "cmmmon Cole!" at you
@@ColeRunning Pepsi Max is the beverage of the gods! On a complete tangent, which shoes did you wear for the race? I don't recall you mentioning it in the video
Well done Cole, I ran the Oxford well behind Ben😅 . Back in the day 79 mins for a half, but age catches you up. But you inspired a vet to try there best.
Well done Cole, cracking performance and enjoyed watching your last few vids as per usual! That sub-67 is certainly on the cards. Not sure if you've had a think about your next half but Wokingham early 2024 is always stacked, think it's used as some England Masters Championship race too. Seville in January is lightning fast and it won't be as cold there! You were right not to take up my offer of a room in Valencia for the half this w/e! Look forward to seeing your next stuff, cheers.
Great effort Cole especially as you were unwell. I remember entering the Oxford HM 7 or 8 years ago with a cold and had to drop out after 5K as struggling to breathe properly.
Congrats Cole! Stumbled upon your videos a few months ago and I feel like watching them they really helped me prepare for the Toronto half marathon last weekend where I got a PB of 1:28:14 - a time that I almost couldn't have imagined a year ago. So I just wanna say thank you, keep smashing it! Also, where did you get that hoodie that has "Løb" on it? It means "Run" in Danish, but I've never seen it before and I'm from Denmark xD
Oh great PB buddy! Yeah it’s a company called Lob Athletic Apparel. It’s an austrialian based company I believe, who have just started but well worth every penny!
You might think this is mad, but all those lemsips would of contributed to your performance. Happened to me a couple years ago, race week I was down and out with a cold, Lemsips all week and on race day... led to me getting a PB some how, I then later looked into it all. Made for an interesting read 📚 Congrats and hope you're better mate
Huge congrats on your PB. Maybe your pre race expectations coz you felt ill have an effect on your psyche. Pressure was off. Doesn't matter anywho you did a blinkin excellent job. 😊
Absolutely smashed it! Especially considering how ill you were, just shows you can still surprise yourself even if you don't have the perfect (mini) taper! 🚀🎉🎊🏅 I noticed a couple of Hallamshire Harriers and former winners of the Sheffield Half got 2nd & 3rd too. Sheffield is pretty hilly, but I think you'd have a reasonable chance at a podium if you fancy it sometime. C'mon Coleee!
I don’t know if you’re still checking youtube but you genuinely still inspire me. Wasn’t feeling like training today, cold and wet and feeling a bit under the weather, but remembering your work ethic and previous videos helped me push on and I had a great session. Miss your content but there’s no rush to come back. We’ll be waiting for you if you feel ready again.
@_Tp__ I do still check ;) thank you mate I really appreciate that. Just going through some personal things. I’ll hopefully make some more content soon but I won’t be running for a little while. Thank you bro 👊🏻
maybe you should try running a half marathon with Jamie’s favourite running channel, Ben is Running, seeing as your in similar places at the moment. Would make great content too.
Well done cole, MUY DELICIOSO!!!! I managed 65 minutes at great south run and im 16,when im older i hope i can be in a half marathon with you :),eventually...
Hey Cole thanks for the shout out. Congrats on your new PB great running 👏 When I checked the results I was 3rd V40 new PB of 72 minutes and it was only my 3rd ever half marathon 😊
Oh cool stuff! No worries mate I’m glad you crushed it!

Quality effort mate, fitness is mega right now,,,, recover from the illness and have a massive winter 🎉
Thanks mate! Still got a bit of the illness lying around! Proper annoying 🤣 well done for Oxford half!
Amazing work Cole. I loved the cold on the day, and managed a 1:33 which I was happy with as my first-ever half-marathon race. Onwards and upwards, letssss goooooooo!
Oh wow that’s awesome mate! Yeah the cold conditions were (excuse the pun…) warmly received! 🤣
I did the same event! My first ever distance run and set my first ever half marathon time of 2:18:50. Chasing 2 hours for the next one!!
That’s a great goal! This event was perfect condition wise!… so don’t be disheartened if you don’t improve straight away but I’m sure you will! 😁😁

Ah that’s great to hear mate!!
Amazing running Cole, so much fun following your journey! Keep it up mate!
Thanks! Will do!🙌🏻

Thank you mate, pretty happy with my ability to pace recently! Ah gotcha! Saulford ;)
Amazing work on the Pb! I love watching your videos and following your running journey and it motivates me to get fitter and better too!
Awh thanks man, that’s awesome. Keep crushing it
Smashed it! Keep closing the gaps dude! Callum's insight about being yourself is so spot on.
Thank you sir! 😁 yep gotta be yourself!
Well done Cole, brilliant run and that's some pb. I find similar with my heart rate in a half and full marathon. It sits in the 150's eventhough my legs are in pain but means you were in your comfortable/steady zone.
Thanks for sharing David. Yeah I was definitely comfortable until about mile 7 then I started to get a bit of fatigue starting to creep in
I did Manchester with a huge 4min PB. Loved it and you are right it wasn’t totally flat.
Great news on your PB Cole I’m so pleased you were able to achieve that.
Thank you! Yep some of those hills were buggers! 🤣
Take ur time and have a good rest Cole! Feel happy for u mate, u deserve this!

Congratulations on a superb run, Cole! Hope you get better soon.
Thank you Diane!
Boom. What a race. Package up those days forever.
Hope to see you at Telford.
Thank you, indeed. It’s great I always have these vlogs to look back on and watch :)
Phenomenal running Cole!! Congratulations on an amazing time 🎉
Thanks Christina! 😁
Super inspiring to power through even though you weren't 100%. Looking forward to your next videos🎉
Thank you! Did what I could on the day 🫡

Thank you sir! The weather in fairness was perfect for fast running, so definitely much better than Valencia haha but thanks again for the invite!!!
Well done mate. "Share with your running buddies" is what FOD Runner says. LOL.
Haha nice
Great effort Cole especially as you were unwell. I remember entering the Oxford HM 7 or 8 years ago with a cold and had to drop out after 5K as struggling to breathe properly.
Ah that must’ve been rough! Mine was luckily a bit more of a head/throat cold… rather than a chest. So maybe that’s why I was okay! 😄
Most Underrated running UA-camr, smashing Cole🎉
Haha thanks mate, proper appreciate it!

Wow. Great run. Keep riding the wave🎉😁
Thanks Paul! Certainly will!!
Great effort! Congratulations! Btw where did you get that grey hoodie from? It looks comfy!
By a company called ‘Lob Athletic Apparel’. It’s honestly my best quality hoodie, well worth the ££!
@@ColeRunningsorry I meant the grey hoodie at 13:58 !
Fantastic run 👏
Thanks Simon!!

Huge congrats on your PB. Maybe your pre race expectations coz you felt ill have an effect on your psyche. Pressure was off. Doesn't matter anywho you did a blinkin excellent job. 😊
Yeah exactly! Maybe lowered my expectations!

Wow ridiculous time mate...while ill 😂😂🤦
Thanks mate haha!
Savage run and unreal time, congrats on massive PB, think if u ran hard for 20k u wont blowup in last km no matter how hard u push it
Thanks mate, with the illness I felt very close to blowing up but thanks :)
So is it pancakes and Lemsips pre race now? 😂 great work mate, fully deserved. Maybe the Manchester Marathon next year? Maybe see you there 😉
Not Manchester but maybe another big race around that sort of time 🤫 thanks mate!
maybe you should try running a half marathon with Jamie’s favourite running channel, Ben is Running, seeing as your in similar places at the moment. Would make great content too.
Great for PB’s but it’s nice to make different vlogs! 😄
Hahah great run Cole especially with illness you’d easily smash 67 drinking a few less Pepsis 😂
It’s not a gamble I’m willing to take 😜
Cmonnnn coleeee
Let’s go gibbo could be a new one
Are the Peanut butter and jelly pancakes going to become a regular now
The PB&J is the essential, the vessel doesn’t matter! 🤣
I adore you
😍
Your immune system might have gone south, you might have felt a lot worse after - but boy was it worth it!
Did you feel worse?
Thanks mate! Yeah I felt snd still feel rough. Definitely took one out of me that’s for sure!
Well done cole, MUY DELICIOSO!!!! I managed 65 minutes at great south run and im 16,when im older i hope i can be in a half marathon with you :),eventually...

Eating in the bed ?????????????
There was no dining area and Rhys was asleep in the lounge :)
