Throw a pillow and a throw on the chair. I wish you would have picked up the large lamps at the beginning of the video. I did a pair in hammered bronze and they turned out stunning. Easy to do, new shades, and I made a total of $115.00 profit. Nice lamps are incredibly expensive and easy to flip. I have watched u since day one and you just are on point about everything you teach. I have been a flipper long before it was popular. I'm 69 now and was a young Navy wife. Flipping was a necessity and I was good at it. I always loved when the Officer's wives would come over and compliment my home. It was so different from what everyone else had. It was always enough to fuel my creativity with 3 small kids at home. I taught Workforce development for many years and flipping was my sanity. Keep up the good work!
I was thinking the same thing! They sell fresh bunches of eucalyptus at Trader Joes's. I hang it upside down in my shower and it makes taking a shower a spa-like experience. 🤗
Since you always take the skirts off of the velvet chairs - do it very carefully on both chairs and you might have enough fabric to redo the back of the damaged chair.
Good morning... regarding the chair with a tear in it, they have iron on patches that are designed to be used for repairing clothing... they sell them at craft stores, Jo-Ann's, etc. If you take the patch and push it through the tear then flatten it out behind the torn fabric with the adhesive facing forward towards the torn fabric. Then arrange the fabric to close the tears as much as possible and then iron over it. The patch will adhere to the back of the fabric permanently and will seal the tear so that it won't tear any further. You probably will not be able to make it invisible but you could make it pretty close!
I would restore the table and chairs. I had a set like that when I first got married in the mid 1980s. It's fun to roll to the fridge if you forget something! Really love all that you guys do, and I am so happy for and proud of your accomplishments. Best regards.
Oh my wordI almost never comment on videos, but I HAD to on this one!! 😂 First of all great haul!! About 10/11 years ago I had a dream about flipping furniture, but was too intimidated by it. The past 3 months watching you videos makes me want to do it, but I’m still scared. Lol. Your amazing. I LOVE that table set!! I’m so happy you bought it, and I cannot wait to see what you do with it!! I was praying you’d buy it. Lol. Nieman’s black shorts were killing me! I love it. The short shorts, shorter than Lauren’s. You go Nieman! Lastly Nieman zooming in on the guy had me laughing so hard. You guys are amazing. I adore watching your videos and really love seeing how you two work together. It’s something special. ❤
I felt like that guy was just like my Dad when he'd go shopping with my Mom. He would hang out in the magazine aisle and read because everything else bored him silly, lol.
What a haul. I probably wouldn’t paint the table with the sliding leaves. It just seems like the paint could really get worn pretty fast in the areas the wood slides against each other. I agree with someone who suggested a light paint wash for a coastal vibe. I’d be in on that. The chairs are BEAUTIFUL! Coffee table is fantastic, and I loved the tall dresser too. You two are so cute to watch together. Watching you two work so harmoniously putting furniture in and out of the truck was something really cute to watch. It is obvious you two are really good friends and co-workers along with being boyfriend and girlfriend.
Really enjoyed thrifting with you- so inspiring! So creative! Just a side note from a former florist... The eucalyptus is real- not fake. It is preserved(not dried or it would be crispy) and dyed. It is naturally scented, not potpourri. Not that it matters on a furniture flipping channel😊.
My Dad is a carpenter and kitchen and bathroom fitter. He made my sister and I a dolls house, a windy house and a farm set over different yrs for Xmas presents. He put carpet, wallpaper and lighting in our dolls house. We sold it at a car boot sale when we grew out of those. He's a talented clever guy. He designed them all himself.
Thomasville furniture was based in Thomasville North Carolina and they have been out of business for several years I know this because we live in North Carolina and my daughter's all worked there
It's funny because when she was originally carrying it out, to the register, I guess, I was thinking, I wouldn't be carrying that, my husband would. Lol.
The table and cane chairs would make a great poker/game table for m the air b&b. I agree with the prior poster who suggested patching the worn velvet with the skirt fabric. If you use a vertical patch, you should be able to hide most of the seams within the folds from the tufting. Great haul.
I’d keep the cane set natural and I’d definitely keep the brass detailing on the table base. That’ brass is one of my favorite parts….not to mention that’s where everyone puts their feet so it protects the wood.
Love the cane set and all of it really. The cane is so in and I would keep it, were it me! Reminds me of Florida and SO Cal where we have lived in the past..........and it is on spot. Light colored wood stain perhaps. I would not use it in the Air B &B as I think with all the folks that would be staying there it could potentially get destroyed beyond repair. Some places we have stayed had lovely things however everyone doesn't respect our things as we do. Cane is not cheat to replace and redo. It's a beautiful piece. A great video and loved seeing my old stomping grounds in days gone by. Totally changed now! I can't wait to see what you do with all the items. Exciting and busy day you had. Did you also get the mirror that I thought went with that Thomasville dresser? Perhaps I didn't catch that correctly. Have a great weekend! Blessings
Ooh, I really hope we get to see videos of at least come of these! Especially that table and chairs - it may be a beast but I bet it’ll look so amazing
Yes, absolutely! I can see it on a sun porch or dining room in the tropical theme, ferns and done in the lighter colors as you say with a ceiling fan above it........I picture it in a Florida room/coastal west coast or southern climate.........Or in a sunroom in the midwest or east..........it would work anywhere. If I were them, I'd keep it for myself. LOL Great choice and exactly spot on!!!
In Texas the cane chairs and table set with casters on the chairs, were used as game room / poker sets. The metal trim on the table pedestal was not only decorative but also protected the wood base from resting your feet on it! I want that mid-century coffee table! Great finds guys!
amazing! Love the dining room set with cane - i can see it either bleached blonder in tone for a more natural beach vibe or a contrast with black. have fun!
The small area on the upholstered caned chair where the seam has separated can probably be hot glued back together if you are careful. Great bargains in your town. I would not paint that table. I would try to restore it.
Great collection of pieces! I love the fact that you ask about pricing in thrift stores! Lots of people think it’s wrong, but I’m a believer of if you don’t ask you don’t get! Well done! 😊
Lauren, you are so lucky, In Melbourne Australia, our thrift stores done have these types of furniture, normally they don’t have any . God I wish I could get the stuff you get for your prices ,
Yes, PLEASE!!!! My first attempt at flipping was a coffee table & 2 end tables. Clean, well-made, only a few little nicks & scratches. But after living here over 20 years without a single roach, over the course of 5 days we found THREE! Where were they hiding?!?!?1 I threw all 3 pieces into the trailer and to the dump they went that weekend. NO ONE addresses the issues of bugs. Please be the first.
Yeah, don't paint a teak Danish modern coffee table. look it up first. You did great. They're selling on the high end for over $1000. It's real. The veneer is walnut. The top is teak.
I love everything you got!!! I just made a drop off to my local Salvation Army and scored 5 pairs of shorts and 2 blouses for 99 cents! So it pays to look at the thrift stores! Love your videos
Thomasville still makes furniture, they closed most of their stores but you can find them at like Costco and other stores. My great aunt and uncle bought most of their furniture there. I inherited it and I kept their dining set. Before I inherited it my hubby and I went to the store and the quality wasn't great and the prices were ridiculous, so when I got their set I was happy. Style wise it's from the 70s and not my style but the quality is so good I couldn't pass it up. We ended up getting new chairs for it since the harvest gold velvet wicker back chairs were falling apart lol. Changing the chairs out made a huge difference and updated the over all look. I gave my best friend the bedroom set as we already had furniture and she needed some. Her husband refinished it and wow its so pretty! they like super dark wood and it was a dark but not as dark color so when i saw it refinished, wow it made a huge difference (you know that lol) and the furniture got a new home. A few other pieces we kept my hubby refinished them and it helped me be ok with keeping them since the style wasn't what I like but changing the stain really helped, one piece we removed the doors on it and i was like, oh this is even better! it's funny how small changes can make things work but people don't want to do the work. I am people lol
I have seen so much good furniture at thrift stores, cheap, but nowhere to put them. Except small tables and lamps. I bought my niece 2 quality rockers for her classroom(special ed. teacher) You have some really good thrift stores in your area. Great tips.😊
I was hoping you guys would keep the table and chairs set because wicker in great condition and they look more comfortable than regular hard wood chairs
The tweed chair caught my attention. My grandmother had one almost identical (then my Mom had it for a while, then an Aunt... I believe a 65yr old cousin has it now). The low armrests was the key draw for us all with that chair. (Been keeping my eyes open for one when at the thrift stores, but nothing yet here in Central MN.) When knitting or crocheting, newer chairs with higher armrest tend to become an obstacle and create an uncomfortable experience; while the lower armrests allow for a much more enjoyable time allowing more to be accomplished. Thank you both for ALL your videos and helpful knowledge.
The pine table with the ends that slide underneath - those are so cool, and my grandmother called them a "'butterfly table"". I used to have one and loved it.
Always makes for an excellent thrifting video when you find some great stuff at awesome prices! So many fabulous pieces you found! I’m jelly 😊❤ can’t wait to see what you do with everything! 👍🏻
Great finds! I think navy blue would be pretty on the table and chairs. But I know it will be beautiful no matter what you decide! I love watching your projects!
My Dad built our cabin bed, desks, shelves. Cupboards. He built his own loft conversion and dropped the mini bathroom in the loft down so there is enough head room to use the sink and toilet.
When you rip the skirt off the torn chair, you can stitch a piece onto that spot and sell it for $20. It would still be good for a kids room or college student. You can always give it away if it doesn't sell. What a haul! 💕💕
Lots of great deals. Can't wait till you finish the B&B and start making $$$$ on it. Looking forward to all the flips. So glad you have gone back to doing them.
I Love Thrift stores so I Love going with you, just wish I could be there to buy stuff, l tell myself how lucky I am, look how much I saved by going with y’all. You really got some good deals, I Love the dinning set, you could stain them a little ,look like new and sell them for at least $100 . Can hardly wait until I see them again. THANKS FOR SHARING WITH YOUR FRIENDS,👍👍👍♥️🙏
On velvet furniture that is damaged, what about doing a patch of a different color and making arm covers of the same color so it matches. I love watching your videos and love the way you flip furniture. You do a beautiful job. Keep up the good work. God bless.
Regarding the “kitchen table with wicker chairs”. That is a card/poker table, the gold at the base is for people’s shoes so they don’t tear up the base of the table with their shoes.
Lauren, with the gold velvet free chair, perhaps you can have it reupholstered in a fabric you LOVE for your own home that you can keep for a long time to enjoy!! It still would be cheaper than new and could reflect your own personality! Just a thought! GREAT VIDEO!!🥰
What a bunch of scores on this great thrifting day!!! The table with the cane chairs. Possible paint the table black and the cane a cream color. It will sell for sure and will match the cushions. The velvet chairs...possibly use the skirt from the bottom and use a spray adhesive and make a patch but reinforce it by sewing it. Do a couple diamond patches on each piece and then it on both pieces so it looks like they were made this way. I like Nieman's thoughts... y'all need a warehouse. People are at all different ages and want all different styles...get those great deals because I would have bought that first piece you looked at on this video and i liked the 2 plant stands you passed on. Those plant stands would have looked great painted white with gold accents and distressed back in a farmhouse style. People say farmhouse style is going out but true farmhouse style has been around for hundreds of years with the crackle look and a lot of people still want this type of furniture in their homes. It's different from the hobby lobby cheap looking farmhouse style they portray as farmhouse.
Table you keep ,my parents bought a set in early 50s it was Danish and light in colour it certainly was a solid stain. The chairs were square with squared spindles across frame
Makes me wish I was young and strong again. I used to refinish, but now at 77 it is fun to watch you:)
It was always enough to fuel my creativity with 3 small kids at home. I taught Workforce development for many years and flipping was my sanity. Keep up the good work!
I enjoy watching you find good furniture! BTW...that's real eucalyptus and the smell is not potpourri, it's what eucalyptus smells like.
I was thinking the same thing! They sell fresh bunches of eucalyptus at Trader Joes's. I hang it upside down in my shower and it makes taking a shower a spa-like experience. 🤗

This combined with darning the opening could be a great and practically invisible repair!
And if she takes the skirt off , use the fabric to put over the patch , And still use a beautiful big pillow!

The dinning table you liked with the ends sliding out is called a farmers table.
The cane chairs and table I would put a antique wax on it bring out all that wood grain..then add some touches of white wax
Neiman focusing on guy in background while Lauren is talking on the couch lol.
LOL!
I came to the comments after I saw that 😂.
I would restore the table and chairs. I had a set like that when I first got married in the mid 1980s. It's fun to roll to the fridge if you forget something! Really love all that you guys do, and I am so happy for and proud of your accomplishments. Best regards.
Omg that walnut mcm coffee table! You scored yourself an amazing find!
Right?!? I was amazed when she said only $10! Score!❤
There was just a glimpse, but it kinda looked like a Lane Acclaim!
Looking forward to the vids showing these projects worked up! Nice finds!
Oh my wordI almost never comment on videos, but I HAD to on this one!! 😂
First of all great haul!! About 10/11 years ago I had a dream about flipping furniture, but was too intimidated by it. The past 3 months watching you videos makes me want to do it, but I’m still scared. Lol. Your amazing.

Lastly Nieman zooming in on the guy had me laughing so hard.
You guys are amazing. I adore watching your videos and really love seeing how you two work together. It’s something special. ❤
Same 😂. What was that dude doing? He looks confused
I felt like that guy was just like my Dad when he'd go shopping with my Mom. He would hang out in the magazine aisle and read because everything else bored him silly, lol.
Lol my husband does the same if he goes shopping with me. He takes a seat somewhere while I do my thing. 😂
I’d whitewash the cane set. Beautiful!
Great tips. Thank you. The Thrifting Fairy was with you that day.
What a haul. I probably wouldn’t paint the table with the sliding leaves. It just seems like the paint could really get worn pretty fast in the areas the wood slides against each other. You and Neiman had an excellent day of thrifting. GREAT JOB!!! 💜💙

I wanted to say the SAME thing about the preserved eucalyptus! I love that stuff...and it's natural scent.
Nieman is cracking me up, filming the guy in the background. LOL. Love watching you two.!!!
That mcm table looks legit!!!!!
I just adore watching u and Mr. Camera Man. I’m just wondering when I will be seeing a wedding. Love u kids, Granny D
Thomasville furniture was based in Thomasville North Carolina and they have been out of business for several years I know this because we live in North Carolina and my daughter's all worked there
amazing mcm coffee table
Nieman!! Close up on the tiger table & the guy in the red shirt!! 😂😂
I love the coffee table you got for $10 oh my gosh it’s beautiful, great find and I love your tip on not carrying it yourself.
I saw my wine rack
It's funny because when she was originally carrying it out, to the register, I guess, I was thinking, I wouldn't be carrying that, my husband would. Lol.
Napkin holder could also hold hand towels for the bathroom.
Use the skirt removed from one or both brown chairs to repair the tear or make a matching pillow?
That swivel base is def on upside down!!
The table and cane chairs would make a great poker/game table for m the air b&b. I agree with the prior poster who suggested patching the worn velvet with the skirt fabric. If you use a vertical patch, you should be able to hide most of the seams within the folds from the tufting. Great haul.

Ooh, I really hope we get to see videos of at least come of these! Especially that table and chairs - it may be a beast but I bet it’ll look so amazing
Lauren, do the cane set in a light wood or cream wash. I think it will sell❤Coastal look is so on trend.
agree!
Came to say this!
Also, it is actually a game table and chairs, so it could be sold to go in a basement or big game rm.
It
In Texas the cane chairs and table set with casters on the chairs, were used as game room / poker sets. The metal trim on the table pedestal was not only decorative but also protected the wood base from resting your feet on it! I want that mid-century coffee table! Great finds guys!
good call on dining table!!!
amazing! Love the dining room set with cane - i can see it either bleached blonder in tone for a more natural beach vibe or a contrast with black. have fun!
Yes! And maybe seat cushions that are navy blue solid or Navy blue with white stripes?
Self storing leaves are the BEST!
The small area on the upholstered caned chair where the seam has separated can probably be hot glued back together if you are careful. Great bargains in your town. I would not paint that table. I would try to restore it.
Awesome finds. With the cane dining set I personally would try to keep it natural and not paint if you can.
God I wish I could get the stuff you get for your prices ,
I can see that table set painted black and redoing the cushions in an updated fabric, maybe a zebra black and white style!
Great haul! I don’t think I’ve ever seen how you evaluate items for unwanted visitors (bed bugs, etc ). Can you do a video on that sometime?
Yes, PLEASE!!!! My first attempt at flipping was a coffee table & 2 end tables. Clean, well-made, only a few little nicks & scratches. Yeah they say certain items to never purchase from a thrift store cause of bed bugs ect
Yes! That would be a great topic!
Awesome finds! I’m excited to see what you do with the table and cain chairs! 🥰
Yeah, don't paint a teak Danish modern coffee table. look it up first. You did great. They're selling on the high end for over $1000. It's real. The veneer is walnut. The top is teak.
I would love that doll house. I have done a small one...its so fun. Lol that coffee mug is perfect for my son. Lmao.
I love everything you got!!! I just made a drop off to my local Salvation Army and scored 5 pairs of shorts and 2 blouses for 99 cents! So it pays to look at the thrift stores! Love your videos
That multi colored Lamp goes with the cane chairs ...love it! Get that doll house!!
Loved the 5 thrifting tips! Great haul!
Love all your tips and how much awesome finds you score
Thomasville still makes furniture, they closed most of their stores but you can find them at like Costco and other stores. My great aunt and uncle bought most of their furniture there. Shoutout to all the Neimans of the furniture world with helping record/lift/move all the pieces.
Great for your own table.
Great finds.
I love going to thrift stores near chains like Target because they get cool housewares and such donated from the chains.
Wow! Y’all hit the jackpot! Can’t wait to see what you do to transform them. 👍🏻
Looking forward to see everything once you are ready to sell everything
That was an amazing haul! Great video. Can’t wait to see what you do with them.
That is a great game table. Recommend you restore it. Keep the comfy damaged chair for yourself. Great haul.
Farrow and ball colour Arsenic would look great for the cane chairs and table, and polish the brass to mirror finish. Awesome find!
The pine table with the ends that slide underneath - those are so cool, and my grandmother called them a "'butterfly table"". I used to have one and loved it.
Thomas I’ll is cherry veneer over maple wood. We have that furniture
Thomasville , darn autocorrect
Thank you for sharing your trip with us I learned a lot about thrift store.
Always makes for an excellent thrifting video when you find some great stuff at awesome prices! So many fabulous pieces you found! I’m jelly 😊❤ can’t wait to see what you do with everything! 👍🏻
You could always take a class on reupholstering furniture.
so great that you can recycle all of that stuff
The creeper guy was weird! Glad you made a huge haul!
Great finds! I think navy blue would be pretty on the table and chairs. But I know it will be beautiful no matter what you decide! I love watching your projects!
The cane chairs I would paint frame and table black and leave the cane natural. Possibly recover the cushions.
Sooo funny neiman, camera work class 😂
Question.. Do u ever worry about Bed Bugs and Such looking at used furniture?
Great healthy fun exercise, moving all around, staying busy, # the extra bonus to your fun thrifting, re-doing n selling!!!
My Dad built our cabin bed, desks, shelves. Cupboards. He built his own loft conversion and dropped the mini bathroom in the loft down so there is enough head room to use the sink and toilet.
Ok I love her videos and was SO surprised when I saw her hubby! He’s fine! Go get em girl!❤️🤗 I love win nice people win! 🙏🏽💕
Excellent video as always. Keep it up!
When you rip the skirt off the torn chair, you can stitch a piece onto that spot and sell it for $20. It would still be good for a kids room or college student. You can always give it away if it doesn't sell. What a haul! 💕💕
I thought the same thing. You could cut a triangle that fits between the buttons where the folds are anyway, and you may not be able to tell.
There is a beautiful coherence to all the pieces you bought 😊
On velvet furniture that is damaged, what about doing a patch of a different color and making arm covers of the same color so it matches. I love watching your videos and love the way you flip furniture. You do a beautiful job. Keep up the good work. God bless.
The stuff in the red vase is eucalyptus which smells really good. Can be reactivated with fine mist
Regarding the “kitchen table with wicker chairs”. That is a card/poker table, the gold at the base is for people’s shoes so they don’t tear up the base of the table with their shoes.
That coffee table looks like it's part of the Lane Acclaim line! If it's genuine, it could be worth quite a bit!
You could use the clear bottles as a mouthwash bottle. Get a cork and make a mouthwash label.
The purple flowers are dried eucalyptus it’s real. Hobby lobby has it
How fun to have a partner that’s into your dream too ❣️
So fun going thrifting with you guys.(Lauren you are looking great!)
Love that leather chair. Perfect for desk chair.
I was thinking along those lines. Either Lauren's home on the Air b/b
Amazing Haul!!
I would stitch a cute velvet patch over the thread pulls in the chair. Like pink or burnt orange…
"If that even *is* baby powder" 😂😂
Hey Neiman, Great idea about the warehouse storage.
Table you keep ,my parents bought a set in early 50s it was Danish and light in colour it certainly was a solid stain. The chairs were square with squared spindles across frame
180th and Q is my favorite store for thrifting. I love the ideas you have. Thanks for sharing! 😊
The canes chairs with table we sold in the 70’s as game tables. Good find!
The cane set is so 70’s, I think it would be pretty in a creamy color.
