- Simon & Dorene are bumbling around Australia towing Stratos as our emergency accommodation. We were going to launch at Paynesville in Victoria BUT it was cold and raining for the three days we waited for the weather to abate.
We decided to carry on bumbling towards Perth .........

Yeah!!! Another season of Simon Carter Sailing!!! Great to see both of you doing a trip together, and working in a different aspect of sailing and boating. I was thinking it was about time you took off! Looks like its going to be a bit of a different flavour this year. Good to see Stratos again and cool how you're using it as an anfibous caravan! Well, better get back to my BS paperwork and fibreglass grinding!

So good to see you both out and about again. This will be a great excursion and seeing the versatile STRATOS again. I am planning to sell the H28 as she's on an exxy marina at Manly. Have to find a tidy trailer sailer first. Well done folks. Graham

Just glad to know your sailing. If you see an older sloop with H28 banner under the ensign. Stay clear. We're not that good and my wife is a crazy tiller babe!

It would be cool to see both Stratos and Artimist together in the same video / shot , over at Moreton or some other nice place! It would be even more fun to see you sailing trying to sail both and film it at the same time😂. No, maybe thats a bad idea! Maybe Jack or Nicole would have to help you with that!

Welcome back Simon, and Doreen. I'm now living near Bunbury WA. There are a few nice day cruising areas over this way. I will email you soon and hopefully be able to bring you along for an adventure with the Bunbury Sea Slugs, and maybe give you a reciprocal offer of accommodation as you did for me a few years ago. It's much nicer Bunbury and south around to Albany. I'm looking forward to meeting up one day.

Simon! When are you going sailing again?! I think I've been through all of your videos on your channel about 5 times. Some Ive watched more than that! I know I still havent shouted you those beers that I promiced yet. Have to organise that. Hope the bull sharks in the Brisbane River didn't get you when you were diving under the boat!
Simon. So good to know there maybe some more adventures. I watch them over and over. I have to buy you many many beers so want to check your pay pal still current. They have been invaluable in helping me explain things to my wife! If time ever permits, would you consider doing an hour or so consultancy at Manly Boat Harbour? Nothing really big. Just to help me prioritise what needs to be done for similar cruising. Its a Compass H28. Couple of hundred was what I had in mind? Regards, Graham W.

@@simoncarteroz well you are not missing any brilliant weather in QLD. Getting around with oil skins on! I saw years ago that a bloke got a camp oven filled with volcanic rock, put on the fire before they went to bed in his caravan, had an old sunbeam fly pan, placed it on the van floor then when it was bedtime he placed the camp-oven in the frypan which according to him kept the temperature constant thru the night! Don’t think it would be good on the water! On the plus side your fridge isn’t draining your batteries! How far have you got so far? Hope you took some spare wheel bearings for your trailer? Andrew nice to here from you l be going sailing again in a couple of months up North again blogging. At home at the moment looking after my family mainly taxi driver for my wife 300m trip to her school 🏫 each day and cheffing dinner to a good standard.
