Enjoy your travels! Always plan to do it when I retired but alias due to things beyond my control it’s never going to happen! It’s surprising how many were gunner! An engineer who worked with it waited for his retirement, ordered his boat, paid his deposit , went to pick it up & didn’t get to set foot on it! So enjoy it for all us beached sailors! Cheers
Ha Ha Simon, I've done my fair of chumming also. Always seems to be on rolly down wind runs. Seas were pretty confused. Happens to everyone in the right conditions. I absolutely hate that queasy feeling. Always feel better have i heave.

What is your tidal range? When you mention a place, would you consider posting your GPS numbers so that I may try to locate you on a map? I only have an Atlas, not one single nautical chart. I am trying to source one. If you can suggest a source to order one, I will fill you up with beers. I will kayak in most sea conditions, but you will never catch me in a cave on land or sea.
Hi Simon, why did you pick your current boat? Price, well built, safe eg? I had my heart set on a 28x McGregor which was light / trailer able ,water ballast/ shallow draught, also you could land the boat on the trailer one up at a push! Can take a 50hp motor to get out of bad weather! But saw a bad report but made be a one off! The joining of the hulls was the fibreglass were the design were the different colour strip off gelcoat was very thin & could see the light coming thru! A production floor I think? Have you come across any of them? Question how do we buy you a beer? Cheers Ray
@@simoncarteroz Thanks for your reply! I saw one on your travels in one of your anchorage’s ! Why are they too light as naturally in their promo they can do everything but the one thing that interested me was the water ballast for towing! Enjoy your travels & are very envious of you! Cheers. Ray 👍🍺

Collected a nice 12" diameter GLASS float from JAPAN? at the Northern most point of the Pearl Bay anchorage beach.
22°23'14.40"S, 150°41'7.47"E
It was not just one thing but one big combination of things! Marriage break downs, family health issues, plus my own injuries! Maybe next time! Ha Ha!

Artimes's legs for drying out on the beach, she rests on the keel (retracted) with the legs holding her upright.

Ray there is nothing wrong with the Mc 28 They sail quite well, but not the best boat for cruising up the east coast.
