Im from europe and the original DHP isnt available anymore at dior beauty or anywhere else online. So it is discontinued and the 2025 version is the replacement.
I really hate FK for that, he fucked up the best fragance ever... if you took the leather, wood and Rose thats not DHP anymore. Just give another name for that Bullshit.
I’m in Europe and DHI is still pushed as hard as DH2020. So I don’t think it’s a DHI replacement. DHP is barely pushed though. You can only buy it from Dior or a super fancy mall. So I’d say it’s going to replace the original parfum only.
Dior Homme reformed to something woody and versatile. Dior Homme Parfum made in the style of Dior Homme Intense. Maybe OG Dior Homme Parfum will be back in the form of an elixir 🤔
If this sells big, not only will you see an Elixir, but a 200 ml bottle of DHP 2025 around the holidays for about $350! I'd like to know the actual reason Dior elected to not officially release DHP and DHI in North America. For DHP, my guess is that they couldn't obtain a plentiful amount of the natural source materials at a reasonable cost to create enough fragrance oils for a massive US market and still retain an affordable price point. Seeing how well the expensive Sauvage Elixir has been selling may have changed their minds. Hence, the price of $180 for a 75 ml of DHP 2025.
Good to hear about the performance. It's currently $160 for a 50 ml and only $20 more at $180 for a 75ml. Who thought up that price structure?! Currently it's only available on the Dior site. Will they distribute this to Macy's and the other major dept. store chains so we can at least get a 15% discount? Unlike the Armani, Rabanne, Mugler, YSL and JPG online sites, I don't recall Dior offering 20% or more discount codes. As of this day - Dec. 28th, 2025, you're the first guy on the block to review it. It's a nice way to pick up subscribers and likes! Your current views to total subscriber (577) ratio is impressive!
From what I’ve heard it drops first week of January. I’m in Canada so that’s as much as I know for which stores get it ext! Appreciate the support! I’ve got a TikTok & IG that I’ve been reviewing on for a number of years, under the same name as my UA-cam!
The only way this won’t be a major disappointment is IF this is introduced as “Parfum” to replace DHI & introduce the beloved Parfum as an Elixir or something like that . Otherwise… Catastrophe.
I have 2 bottles of DHI and 3 bottles of DHP. Absolutely no desire to obtain the new Parfum 2025. I get reformulations, but you cannot remove the oud, leather, and rose from the OG DHP and still call it DHP. Hard pass.
I think you can, our old bottles are going to be explode as soon as these hit shelves 😅 We can have 2 at the same time, although I think maybe calling this Intense would have been better!!
Having OG 75ml DHP, I must admit that I like it least from the famous Homme line. It starts to be somehow synthetically harsh / raw which is typical for many designer fragrances nowadays. There is something biting, something unbalanced in it. It is not that smooth as Intense or EDT version. Did you guys experienced similar reactions?
I had the original formulation (I think. It had the small font like the pre-2020 Dior Homme.) It's definitely a masterpiece, but not an easy wear IMHO. "Strong" is an understatement. The stuff is nuclear. And I'm a fan of vintage '80s powerhouses. For me the best is still the original EDT (again, pre-2020 version). Still have most of a 50ml bottle that I'll be using sparingly as I imagine it's already a pretty penny on the secondary market. I do always enjoy these kinds of side-by-side comparisons, though. Thanks for posting.
I have DHP and DHI. I see DHP 2025 as just another flanker. The other DH from various different years are in the same vein. FOMO Gary's Den as dumb grab. This is a pass for me. Thank you for the review.
in the UK Dior homme parfum could only be bought from Dior UK exclusive £143/$150 never got the chance to smell it, ended up buying 3x bottles from beauty cos Denmark for £90 each, a great deal and this was before it got discontinued recently
I'm always excited to smell Francis K's interpretations of a DNA. I bet it's like a denser DHI, I'll definitely be happy. The OG Parfum was always too heavy for what I wanted out of the DNA.
@RamshawFragrances I overnighted it, but I haven't got it yet. I'm guessing they meant Business day overnight. lol Regardless, I'm ecstatic to get it in. ❤️
Good point you made. They're probably relaunching the Intense as the new 2025 Parfume. Knowing Dior, they'll probably relaunch the Parfume as the next Dior Homme Parfume ELIXIR or something down the line 😂😂😂
They’re definitely redoing the whole line unless if this has any similarities to Dior homme 2020. Dior might keep this a US exclusive and keep the original parfum for europe
Yes , only the new one is available on the website now To be fair , this was a predictable move by dior Now they have dh2020, sport, intense ,cologne and parfum all in the same bottle/cap style The real question is for how long they gonna keep selling dior homme original
Just got mine today and it is a huge disappointment. It smells like The Most Wanted Parfum with a little bit of Iris in the opening. The amber note is too overpowering and gourmand. I can see the comparison to DHI but it’s nothing like DHP2020. I’m glad that I only bought one bottle but it’s a hard pass for what you get in return.
The bottle you're comparing to 2025 is not the OG, it's already reformulated watered-down 100ml version of the real OG 75ml from 2014 in different bottle design, which was the masterpiece.
@@RamshawFragrances It's not the same thing, he's right and there are a lot of frag reviewers who think the same, The Perfume Guy being one of the most known he even did a video about it recently and he owns every iteration with multiple batches.
It's the other way round: DHI is selling WAY better than DHP. DH range needs an exciting and modern iris flanker next to DHI to give the range consistency. DH2020 and DHS2021 are citric woodsy day scents (with Sport being the more edgy and potent one), DHI and DHP2025 are now irisy, sweet scents for special occasions with DHP2025 meant as the more upscale, potent version. DHP smells pretty dated by now, didn't sell well, wasnt all that available and probably had a pretty expensive formula - it's the obvious scent to relaunch. Great review tho, curious to see if other reviewers will rate the performance aspect similarity - Sauvage Elixir is among the the most potent designer fragrances released over the last decade.
More mass appealing . Average person who buy fragrances probably didn’t like the niche quality . The old days when you had perfumes sell like hot cakes like Fahrenheit or Kouros is long gone . I’m sure they gonna sell more bottles from a new version
Hi, sorry for disturbing you, but is it comparable to Prada L'Homme Intense? Prada is known for creating elegant, soapy, and clean scents. I don’t want Dior Homme Parfum to be redundant in my collection lol
Good question! In fairness DH came first and Prada took inspiration from them. Although if that is your concern I’d recommend getting your nose on this one first!
@@RamshawFragrances I also have Valentino Uomo Intense, which smells kinda like Dior Homme Intense to my nose and I can see the inspiration behind it. I haven't tried Dior Homme Parfum yet, but I'll decide whether it's worth the purchase when I do! Thanks 😊🙏🏻
