Well, it is meant to be different, you may like it more or less, but at the end of day whats the point of relaunching a fragance if its going to be the same... Anyway i think that the will do the same thing that they did with the relaunch of Dior Homme, you can get the original version or the 2020 version.
Same here - scooped up a backup DHPIntense a year ago and still have about 70% remaining in the main bottle. I thought there was talk of discontinuing DHP a few years back. I’ll likely grab another DHPI sooner than later now.
@@juanluiscanetemangas1307The real question is why relaunch it at all, but from what I’m hearing it sounds like this version is catering more towards the North American market since the original was never sold outside of Europe. I just don’t understand why Dior/LVMH continue to complicate the Homme line with reformulations and region specific releases.
If the latest DHP smells like DHI (2011), then all I can think is that they're gonna release an Elixir version that smells like DHP (2020) for more money.
Yeah man tnx for the early Review. Im glad i got back up bottles of the original and by that i mean 1x 75 ml 2014 batch and 5 of the 100 ml all 2020 batch 😍
I hate oud and leather in any fragrance! I have the 2025 Dior Homme Parfum and it’s now my favorite Signature Scent!! Absolutely Amazing!! Francis Kurkdjian rocks!!
That’s absolutely incredible to hear! The original didn’t work for everyone and this new version is a great example of how a relaunch can improve on something already successful!
That sounds like a great improvement actually! Little more round and sweet. Can’t wait and still love my OG version, but the new one seems like I can reach for it more.
Just received my backup bottle of Dior Homme Parfum yesterday. I learned that it was going to be discontinued so I ordered it. I absolutely love DHP. Have gotten several compliments over the past 2 years I have owned it. Beast mode longetivity and projects well. Only need 2-3 sprays indoors or 4-5 outdoors. This is masterful perfumery and a high quality fragrance. Sad to see it is being replaced.
It's already out on the Dior US website and can be ordered now. Mine is being delivered next week. It's safe to say that the original DHP is being discontinued as this new Dior Homme Parfum 2025 is on Dior's French website. They took the old DHP down.
so it doesn't sound like the real o.g. version, 2.5oz (2014)which i have a full bottle, ill have to sample when it hits retail stores to see if is worth it, or just pickup another 2.5oz o.g. version
I’m sure I’ll try it. Because the leather was too much for me from the Parfum. That being out of the equation, I might like this more. I know I am in the minority with that opinion lol, but hey, I am sweaty hot Florida
I think after watching this review I may opt for the previous DHP instead of the 2025 version as the leather and oud notes tone the iris down which gives off too much of a💄vibe for my liking.
should I get the "Old" DOP? I've never smelled it but I love my DHI and Dior homme DNA in general, I want something that lasts longer, I love leather not so much the oud but I'm not too worried about it as it's very deep in the base and I know Dior won't mess it up, It's very expensive for me but I don't want to miss out since I had my eyes on it as a replacement for my DHI.. I was thinking I may get my money back if I don't like it
I like the whole dior homme line but the worst is the "old" Parfum version. I really dont get the love for that one. Really smells like and old grandmother and her leatherpurse. Love the dior homme 2011 and dior homme intense tho. So really looking forward for the new Parfum version.
Great video. Definitely gonna get my nose on this one, but gotta say, if you remove the leather and oud, why even call it Dior Homme Parfum anymore? Why not just rename it?
I think you mentioned this being closer to DHI -- does it still have that "lipsticky" iris? Which one is more versatile/wearable between the two and would it be redundant to own the new DHP if we own DHI? Thanks for the early review!
Great question… The Iris is still right there at the top, it’s still very strong but this is a bit more of a “clean & soapy” Iris I’d say. They are both very similar so it’s hard to say which would be more versatile, I almost might say this is? The longevity is fantastic with the 2025, I’m getting over 24hrs projection off my jacket.
@@RamshawFragrances Hi, does it resemble Prada L'Homme or Prada L'Homme Intense? Prada is known for creating beautiful iris fragrances that smell clean, soapy, and elegant. :)
I already have a lifetime supply of the original DHP. If this turns out to be a "less special, but more versatile" version of DHP, I wouldn't be mad at that.
Congratulations on taking it so early! There is no way I am buying the new formula. I bought it because of the Oud. Francis Kurkdjian should go and make another perfume for the house and not change the formula just to put his name on another fragrance formula. At least I am left with 75% of the previous parfum.
Can’t believe you already have this? How does it differ from Intense? I am buying a backup 100ml of the current one precisely because I love the Oud and Leather
To be honest it’s incredibly similar to the intense. The iris is still at the forefront but what made the Parfum different from the intense is gone and replaced with Amber.
@ Alright, so still smart idea to buy a backup for posterity before it becomes impossible or too expensive to buy? Do you think it’s an improvement? Is there a place for intense still? I love them all
@@Jules_Elixir there’s a place for all of them still! This isn’t going to replace one if you already have it in your collection but the prices of the OG’s will skyrocket now!

Okay, i guess i have to get my hands on this one 😋 sounds better than the Og, the leather was bit to much for my liking, but this with vanilla sounds right up my way!🎉
I would like to remind you that no perfume can replace clean clothes smelling of washing powder and showering, at least once a day. I don't understand people who look for perfumes that stay on the skin for 24 hours, let alone 48 hours, why something like that, since you will wash the smell off yourself during the bath anyway. Unless you replace the shower with perfume. The perfect combination, the stench of sweat + perfume 😂🤣

Amen brother - same here! 🙏🏻 Got enough backups for a lifetime for both DHI and DHP. 🤠😁🌟
They darken the bottle but the scent is less deep and mysterious

Same!
Iris is common nowadays. The OG parfum was special because of the leather and oud and how it combined with the rose and orris
Very true, DH started the Iris trend!
there was no oud in it, look at parfumo
@@Silvio_TF I really don’t care what parfumo says, there was definitely an oud accord in DHP prior to 2025
What I always say... If you're going to change a fragrance into another fragrance, dont give it the same name.

Yes, should be in the first few weeks of January!
