Brilliant images that stand alongside DuBois’ elegant words. Thank you!

This is one of the reasons I started my channel; to tell the stories of the land of our father's fathers. I have been reading W.E.B. Du Bois and find his eloquence profound in the way of delivering these messages. Thank you.

Very chilling that Dubois's words are superimposed onto the unarmed black young man being shot by police, definitely more time than 30 years have past, but his writings still apply to today

      That's your opinion.
I thought it was very poetic and beautiful.
      Are you African American?

Reuben Taylor I’m mixed, pardon me, it was well illustrated and had language one can appreciate but it doesn’t seem to serve a real purpose in educating the viewer. It did not suck, it simply does not have a point.

    I am London-born, Lagos-raised, and Los Angeles-based. I feel indefinitely double consciousness.
This video brilliantly articulates and visualizes this experience.

Add to your reading list Booker T Washington and Frederick Douglas. Great men, who sought change in their country.

Ashiente racism isn’t a problem, true racists are a minority. We have the most diverse accepting population of any country in terms of race among our countrymen.

Racism isn’t an American concept nor is it exclude to this country. Racism exists in every country if you pay attention or ask those most affected by it

Racism is still a problem, and to say it's not is pure ignorance and the reason why it continues. And yes racism is found in every country, but the problem about racism in America is that America is supposed to be a land open to all groups and people but it tends to shut out one group over the other.

Racism exists everywhere just in different forms. It’s a huge issue that may obscured or ignored in other countries (hence, your response) because American racism is so entrenched in every aspect of society. It exists where you live too.I’d say talk to the native and African peoples of Argentina but most of those genes were purposely breed out because of racism and colorism. Look it up.

For every person who has EVER been oppressed in ANY country, these words can fit. It is sad that we, as an American nation, see fit to only pay attention to the round peg that fits in the round hole misses every other version that could enter the same space. DuBois was eloquent, but his words fall upon the eyes of small minds. We are all joined as one people on this planet. The irony of the 21st century lies in the compartmentalization of the concept of oppression. It would be amazing if it weren't so toxic.

i assure you, modern racism is more of a media ploy than the reality of america. its disheartening to see that you, being from Argentina view us that way. The first amendment of our constitution allows every person here, media included, to speak their mind on any subject, however our media lately has been preoccupied with spreading fear and false narratives. i hope one day you come here and see our country first hand. we are truly blessed to have been born here, the problem is most US citizens don't know that.

Your entire comment is an illustration as to why you can't see racism. It is pitiful.

Thank you for this... So much of what is considered racism here is nothing but amped up media nonsense... The real issues lie in politics and politicians and media attempting to separate us from each other so that we are so confused that they can continue sneaking under our noses.. It's sad that we are seen as such horrible people because of the way that the media purposefully portrays us... The only racism I see anymore, and I know this will be taken offensively, is mainly against whites and sexism is mainly against men... It is 2020 and the tables have definitely turned... But it isn't for the better...

A white woman in America will be told that worrying about sexism is pointless, at least she's not from India. An Indian woman who lives in the city will be told it could be worst, at least she's not in the countryside. An Indian woman in the countryside will be told at least she wasn't married off at 9 years old. I'm sure you think you know better than anyone who speaks out against racism but you're absolutely part of the problem.
