I cried the first time I read these lyrics. It’s such a powerful song, especially the very last line. Thank you for uploading this gem of a song. It’s beautiful.
This song melts my heart of sadness to know the pain that jewish ppl had to experience, specially also in Russia in such a period.

Actually some Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian,or other Slavic languages.
@@marksheiman1538 Yiddish does have some influences from Eastern European languages (Romanian is not Slavic, but Romance) but most of the vocabulary is Germanic and it has more loanwords from Hebrew and Aramaic than from Eastern European languages.
