The trick is to yank it quickly. 👍 I’ve plugged a 3” gash in a tractor tire using about a dozen rubber snake type plugs. Heck, it’s still running two years later! 😂
Me amd my 16 year old son just changed his brakes on his car earlier and I was telling him about you. And the #Bringmasculinityback movement lol. We gotta teach these kids real life shit my man. Thats good parenting!
Tip. Have everything ready to go before pulling the nail. The key to the plug is push it in where there's about a 1/8 sticking out and then try to rip it back out. It will allow the tool to pass by the plug. No twisting. It's like anything else, the longer you play with itthe harder it gets.
Hey, Frank. Carl would tell you to lube up that rasp a little with the rubber cement before you get the plug ready! Dude! Dig your work and dig your channel!
Always love Lucas. His whole life career great dude sorry he left NCIS new Orleans. But look forward to next. Love his home life attitude. Family. God bless him his family
Just for the record back about 25 years ago when I believe you was working with your uncle yall pulled up to Sam’s club in north Huntsville Alabama with some tire issues and I never used a hair dryer to fix it up. It was cool to meet ya back then you were just a youngster.
I've plugged about a 100 tires on the farm Lucas.... Get a good plug set that has the piece you slide down to hold plug while you pull tool out.... Go get em Lucas!!!
I worked at an auto repair shop for my uncle and cousin, my main job was tires. When plugging a tire make sure to push deep enough into the tire because it can and will come out. You also want to make sure too hone the hole really good.
Worked in a shop for years that used these…always buy the ones with the rubber cement, and always melt the tails and make a nice mound, or you can catch those ends and pull the plug out.
Thank you for (im serious) not being a piece of shit when you got money and fame. I really really admire that. Sorry i cussed. You keep handing out free life lessons and ill keep a-watching 😂 Im real interested when you get to carpentry, electrical, and welding. Build us a house ❤
Much love to you and your family brother all the way from Spartanburg sc fyi we got some good fishing holes down this way come thru sometime and show some of these young bucks how to bring masculinity back love wht you do brother big hugs and shout out to you love your positivity big amen brother
Yo Lucas break the handle off that reaming tool and Chuck it up in your drill and ream it next time. Makes it easier for plugging. Don't forget to give the plug the hawk tuah treatment though, it'll slide on in like butter in a hot biscuit. 😂 Quick story, co worker had gotten a nail in his tire at work, big meaty tire 38× something another monster tire. I was helping him plug the tire and had nothing but a drill some drill bits a mouth full of dip and a partial plug kit. I reamed the tire with a drill and drill bit spit some tobacco on the plug and jammed the plug in the tire. Thing was in there for 3 years till he sold the truck lol.
With plugs. When you’re reaming out the leak. Just ram it in and pull it out, repeatedly. Also, when putting the plug in. Push it in to the desired amount of plug you want sticking out and just yank it back on in one motion.
A tip from an old tire pro... Be sue you have your tire plug(s) all ready to go *before* you pull the offending object and ream the hole (especially roadside repairs). Having a mostly deflated tire because you were dicking around too long and now you can't drive on it just sucks. 😊
Use rubber cement on your plugs, the plugs go in easier and rubber cement forms a chemical bond between the tire and the plug for a strong bond and seal
I know it sounds crazy, but if you can do it quick enough, take a drill and once you get the nail or bolt out of the tire, use the drillbit to make it a little bit bigger than you can put that strip in super easy and it will be just fine!
Hey homie you’re awesome loved you and fast and the furious. love what you do now I’m sure I’m not the first one to say this but when you pull that out, you gotta rip it out like pull out game rip out like the last second you can’t take it no more if she twitches you’re gonna go pull out.
Love your videos! You’re supposed to pull that baby straight out you shouldn’t be turning it back-and-forth as you pull it out. The bottom of your tool has an open slot. Just pull it straight back once hard.
I use a 1/8 to 3/16 drill bit to open up the steel wall in the tire.. depending on pay load they can handle, truck tires can have a free layers of steel in em making it a bitch to get that plug in.
Maybe just pay the tire shop to repair it correctly. You've damaged the integrity of that tire. If you want to do it yourself to be "masculine" buy a tire machine. I'll come teach you how to use it and repair a tire the right way. Plugging tires is so shade tree.
@@Blue_Shirt_Guymuch better to be self reliant my guy plugs are a temporary fix also you don’t need a tire machine to change a tire people are relying on machines way more than they should I’ve changed a tire with two crowbars it’s not really hard
@@Blue_Shirt_Guythat’s the biggest bunch of BS I’ve Ever heard plugged correctly in the tread with a rope style plug ( orange are best) I have never had a single failure on the plug or the tire. This is over 32 years of experience with this type repair. Side wall or large hole is only to limp you to a new tire but a nail size hole in the tread portion this repair done correctly works every time and hold for the service life of the tire.
Someone has been hating on my 03 Lexus lately and has been sticking nails under my two new rear tires for some weeks now I’ve plugged every single one with the same kit 😂 ganna have to get new ones though cause they have like 3 or 4 plugs each now
Now that is something I NEVER learned how to do as a kid... check air pressure, sure. Put air in a tire, no problem. Find and fix a leak....BIG PROBLEM! That looks like a lot of hard work that requires a lot of muscle! It'll be Discount Tires for me! 😂
Cut the handle off the Reimer and then if you stick the Reimer in a drill you'll be able to get that hole Reimed big enough so your not gonna stroke out trying to push that plug in!
This dude is being the dad so many kids need right now
😂 bro he is proving he has 0 car mechanics skills
Ya snatch it
The trick is to yank it quickly. 👍
I’ve plugged a 3” gash in a tractor tire using about a dozen rubber snake type plugs. Heck, it’s still running two years later! 😂
Why do you people lie about plugging big gashes for? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nobody believes you!!!!!!!
I've done that too on my truck it was on the side wall too I drove it for weeks like that 😂
Quit twistin the plug!! Love ya, bro.
If did right it balls up inside the tire so you can pull the plug tool out
I bet 2 cond failed just to low on air
I love you showing it now going well the first times lol relatable
Yeah. Real world shit for sure
Lucas-“don’t tell her”
Wife-“I’m filming”
😂😂
Me amd my 16 year old son just changed his brakes on his car earlier and I was telling him about you. And the #Bringmasculinityback movement lol. We gotta teach these kids real life shit my man. Thats good parenting!
I'll tell you what for an actor in various well known movies ,I think its cool as shit for him to show how too cook deer and fix a flat
Use the rubber cement with he remer then add a little to the plug then slam it in there much much easier. Lover your videos brother.

You didn’t put it in far enough the first two times, but ha you got it in the third time, God be the glory brother
We need more Men to teach this to their kids!!!!
3rd times a charm! And hey, no pavers were damaged in this video!
Thanks for all the content and great movies hope to see you in a film again
The real things that should be teaching kids in school is simply solutions to big problems love you man bring it back

Got pull it like an old lawn mower when you put it in brother, so it cuts that plug. Love you. God is Good
Jus shredding those cords up 😂😂
Always love Lucas. His whole life career great dude sorry he left NCIS new Orleans. But look forward to next. Love his home life attitude. Family. God bless him his family
He posts his failures this speaks volumes to his character. I always push it straight in then quickly turn a quarter turn and pull out.
We still talking about plugging tires , right?
Good on you friend. Not many in hollyweird I can get behind you are an anomaly!

So glad to see a real man that ain't gotta call AAA.
Thank God for this man teaching things that weren’t taught by so many dads.
I am glad I am not the only one the takes a few tries till you get one in and plugged
I love how he’s rich enough to buy a million sets of tires and chooses to plug. Good stuff

Ok glade see you doing this twist about three time give a good pull plug will never pull out

I love this. Not everything goes according to plan.
Here is my witty comment. I appreciate you didn't interrupt the video and commented at the end.
You’re such a good Christian role model and an amazing father.

Good to see you gettin it dune. Always have the best luck getting the plug to stay when I snatch the tool out real quick.
Straight in straight out!
Youre the best man!
Hawk tuei spit on that thing. I just had to say it one more time. Lol
you should use some vulcanizing cement on the plug, makes it 100x easier to put the plug in and acts like a sealant to prevent it from leaking.
I've plugged close to a hundred tires over my years and I've never used or seen anyone use a hairdryer for plugs 😂 and I live in a cold weather state!
Gotta be the Hulk to get those damn plugs started 😂
Just fyi don't twist when you pull out... Btw love the videos
Love your videos! You’re supposed to pull that baby straight out you shouldn’t be turning it back-and-forth as you pull it out. The bottom of your tool has an open slot. Just pull it straight back once hard.
Great actor just down to earth
Always good to check. Safety first. You are good at that. Like using hair dryer. 😊
Broke my mom's blow dryer once don't hold it too close to material it don't like that. . don't twist the plug out. Just pull. 💪Bless.
Brother every time you say masculineee i lol
I've had those plugs last the life of the tire . Yet, I still prefer to take them into the shop for a plug patch 🤔
I use a 1/8 to 3/16 drill bit to open up the steel wall in the tire.. depending on pay load they can handle, truck tires can have a free layers of steel in em making it a bitch to get that plug in.
Soapy water in a bottle to check if it leaks
Use a drill and a small drill bit and open the hole up a little bit then plug it , works like a dream ……..
Oooooo I like it

The trick is to take some air out of the tire down til about 10-15 psi makes it easier
Twist, then yank. Works every time
SALUDOS LUCAS DESDE ARGENTINA 🇦🇷🙋
*Use more lubricant as well and gap the hole!*
Use patch glue on the plug worm brother. Adds a little lube and it seals up.
You need to get the black jack tire repair kit. Big t bone handles and a little jar of lube.
Dude you are awesome
Love your videos. Next time pull the plug tool straight out. No twisting. And don’t be afraid to use the reamer. You won’t make to hole to big.
Hey dude, you're suppose to twist it after you get it into the tire!
You turn "Twist" then just pull out!
After you stick the plug in, give it a twist and pull out fast, the plug will stay in and you won’t waste plugs.
No twist. you just pull it out hard af
Just push the plug all the way through and then Pull out slow till you feel it then yank it straight out. Works every time.
Next time pull out fast on the plug will stay, just FYI.
Lucas sometimes if you put some of the rubber glue on the plug it will help
Got to pull it out in a fast FLASH 😂
Glad I am not the only guy that takes three plugs to finally fill the leak 😂😂
Not to hate but ya gotta waller that hole out really good before ya plug it also nothing but Love ,love ya videos bro
Also I would add some rubber cement to the plug.
I like the way you talk
You have to pull it out straight no twisting no turning
Your the best 🤠
Lucus remember when putting a plug in,always pull out quick, lol
I wish I would see you in more movies
You got it. That’s should last a while.👍👍
I didn't know you was in Tokyo drift bro did great in that movie
Gotta pull it out fast!!
Loctite super glue with the plug works fast and fantastic

I'm gonna try this frfr lol
It’s fun plugging a 10 ply tire. Took me over an hour beating it with a hammer 😅
Cut the handle off the Reimer and then if you stick the Reimer in a drill you'll be able to get that hole Reimed big enough so your not gonna stroke out trying to push that plug in!
Gotta stop the twisting my friend just pull it straight out seems to work better a little tire patch glue on em works well as well
I seen you on TV a few days ago
