Good video, didn't know about inflating the tire to make it more rigid. Love the pup, feed him raw meat, he'll have a better quality of life and you'll practically avoid a vet. Ours is 14, been on raw meat all her life, and she is still running around being a little mischievous pest like a puppy. Love that dog, I'll be a wreck when she passes away. Hopefully she'll make it to at least 18 years. Cheers from Canada.
Thanks for the video. Yours was better than the first one I watched because you said to inflate the tire to make it easier to insert the reamer tool. I was having a hell of a time trying to do it when the tire was soft. The puppy video was an extra treat. I have a German Shepherd/Husky, almost three years old, named Doofy.
The ending caught me off guard, but I loved it. 😁 The only addendum I'd make is to take the tire out for a quick ten minute drive to help the tire warm up and the plug to bond. Great video!
Honestly, I always understood the principles but I never actually saw it done. Thanks for the quick and informative video now I can do this with confidence!
Even though I've plugged many tires, I still watched all the way to the end, and for that I was rewarded with an adorable clip of the newest family member. It's like she was waiting for the toy to play back😁. She looks like a lot of fun
This was great little how to video. So many people have bought those kits, but don’t know how or have never seen them used. Plus, the puppy is just too cute, telling that toy who’s boss!
Great job on the video, excellent topic but also some clever editing. I have a big rig with a leaking tire. I believe it is a nail, and at $600 per tire, I finally decided to buy the Safety Seal Tire Repair kit that looks similar to the one you have. You made it look easy, and I hope now that I have observed the process demonstrated, I am as successful in my repair as you. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate. Cool vehicles in your garage!!
Thanks Eddie. I've seen these kits around but have never used one. At least now I know how. Ripley is a cutie pie! It's going to be fun watching him grow!
This happened to me today but mines was right above the shoulder on the thread , I’m running Toyo AT3 on a grand Cherokee , I have this kit in my Amazon box ready to go!!!! Great video
ARB puncture kit, originally designed and manufactured in Melbourne Australia in the mid 70's by Tony Brown (Anthony Ronald Brown - hence the ARB). The company now has operations in South Africa, the USA and elsewhere.
My Slime kit includes rubber cement. It seems like a good idea. The tools are not as nice on their cheap kit, but the pro kit looks good and I will probably get it soon. The inexpensive kit did work well. I got it at Walmart for less than $10.
i love your how to do videos, i wish you would show how to do trail repairs on vehicles like gladiator or jk, what needs to be repaired and how to do it video would be great, changing an axle shaft, fixing a broken u joint, any repairs you have seen done on the trail and how to get your vehicle back to civilization. this would be a great set of videos for the beginner off roader and would also help with selecting the tools and parts needed to keep your jeep running off road , these would be a refference series for all offroaders.
Actually, we do feature some of that in our videos. Our Bedeviled video shows an axle shaft change and I'm pretty sure our Maple Honey one shows a u-joint replacement. We've also done ring gear removals on a few others. But, we also have specific videos that show some of this stuff in detail and they'll help out a lot on the trail.
Glad to hear you and your fam good! I know a ton of stuff is cancelled for obvious reasons but it’s okay! At least you have some nice toys to get away in! Ahahaha 😅
Last year a crazy neighbor kept putting screws in my tire. Bought a kit, fixed it just like you did. Thanks for the vote of confidence and Ridley should protect you from all the vicious stick animals on the trails! Lol. Thanks again you two. (Or is it three now?)
I am a truck driver (Tanker oil field in North Dakota) and I got 4 of those kits one for my wife’s car my Gladiator our grand Cherokee and my semi. Very handy even if it’s a side wall and you don’t want to walk lol I got spare tires in everything but the semi but with 26 tires unless it’s a steer tire I can get to a shop
Love watching your videos. Even tho I already know how to plug a tire, I love how your videos are edited, well put together, and very thorough. Plus, wanted to see the new puppy Ripley!
Love the video. LOL, just bought the boulder tools tire repair kit. I guess I chose wisely. Love the video of the new pup. Thanks again for great video.
Wayalife Hey Eddie. Question... I added more weight to my jl sport with thicker ko2s (still 31s), steel bumpers and rock sliders. I don’t plan adding anything else but definitely feel it on the mpg and low end torque. Would re gearing improve both in my case?
Hey Eddie good stuff been carrying one for 30 + years might need to upgrade might be lil dry 😂😂 come to think about it it’s been that long since had a flat 🤔 puppy’s so cute a lot of fun as always be safe
Hi I have worked in a shop for years. You’re supposed to leave the stems out and burn the ends of them also coating them with a little rubber cement before you put the plug in helps. Not trying at all to be a jerk, just have plugged hundreds of tires in my career. Love your channel
Wow !!! ( u have a nice garage man 👍
I bought the Tru-Flat Radial Tire Repair kit. It didn't come with any lubricant or rubber glue. It only came with 10 repair strips & 1 closed eye needle. My husband put the repair strips in the closed eye needle. He did it the way you did it and when he pulled the needle slowly straight out, the strip stayed in the closed eye needle. The needles has no opening so the strip can come out and stay in the hole. So, my husband took the strip out the hole, put it on top of the hole and pushed it in with the needle just till we were able to get to a tire shop.We ended up having to drive the car with a flat to a tire shop & we have low profile tires so we got lucky we didn't tear the tire or mess up the rim while driving it 1-1/2 miles to the nearest tire shop.Do you have any suggestions on how to use this closed eye needle just Incase we have an emergency again?
Personally, I would get a new kit with a tool that has a split on the needle as you see in this video as it will make the job a lot easier. That said, I think the idea with a closed needle is to just thread in the plug in just a bit - maybe a 1/4 of the length or so. This as opposed to pulling it half way through. This will allow you to push the plug deep into the tire and when you pull it back out, you should be able to free it from the tool. When done right, you should see both ends of the plug sticking out.
Great video! Thanks for the instruction and the bonus puppy vid! I carry a tire repair kit and feel a LOT more confident that I’ll know what I’m doing if I ever need it.
This title is so much longer than it needs to be lol.. "How to plug a punctured tire with ease" was all you needed lol.. English is my 3rd language, so where my English lessons were so grammar focused, this sentence reminds me if myself in high school years lol.. I was always being corrected.
Good video! My dad has plugged many a tire, and I actually have the kit you shared the link to. It is frowned upon to run on in the side, like that, but Dad would, Lol.
I'm glad you could use that tires a spare not throw it away. Precious little dog, I hope he brings you happiness just like your previous pet.
Thank you.

In this video, more than plugging the hole, I loved it to see Ripley playing and filling the hole 👍🏽
Thank you :)

Eddie I have plugged my sidewalls plenty of times.they have worked for the life of my tires.even with wheeling.
Loved the little bonus clip at the end! Wish you guys all the best!
Been using a kit similar to that one, safety seal , bought mine in 1975 , still use it today

Ripley is too dang cute! Can't wait to see her going with you on adventures. Stay safe!
Thank you :)
Thanks Eddie. I've seen these kits around but have never used one. At least now I know how. Ripley is a cutie pie! It's going to be fun watching him grow!

Wayalife Hey Eddie. Question... I added more weight to my jl sport with thicker ko2s (still 31s), steel bumpers and rock sliders. I don’t plan adding anything else but definitely feel it on the mpg and low end torque. Would re gearing improve both in my case?

love the video of ripley playing and barking. makes me want to get a dog.
LOL - they're a handful and a pain at times but well worth it if you can put in the work to help them grow up into good dogs :)
Hi I have worked in a shop for years. You’re supposed to leave the stems out and burn the ends of them also coating them with a little rubber cement before you put the plug in helps. Not trying at all to be a jerk, just have plugged hundreds of tires in my career. Love your channel
LOL - All good by me. My kit didn't come with any cement or a lighter. Been plugging tires like this for years and have never had a problem.
Good to see you again 👊 And the new puppy Ripley 😂🙂🐶

As usual, another great video. Thanks for giving me a break from the quarantine.
Glad we could help out :)
Wow !!! ( u have a nice garage man 👍
I really enjoy your videos, you should do a tour of your garage. You should hook up with the guy from Trailrecon and do some videos
Thank you so much for the great video! I wonder why there is only lubricant in that kit, isn´t there a need for glue?
There is no need for glue as the plugs are already treated with what is needed to make it work.
You’re the BEST👍🏻
Thank you. Hope our video was helpful to you.
Can you make a video about suspension bind in factory parts
Be safe..... Love Ripley.... Thanks for the video tutorial...
Awesome! Glad you like the tutorial and the ending :)
You better be putting Ripley in all the videos now!
LOL - I think we'll have try :)
Great video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thanks for the video!!
Glad that you enjoy them :)
I like our tips and trick and almost modified too👍👍👍
Great video bro ! Hey what do you do for a living ?
LOL - Glad you enjoyed the video. I've done a lot of different things over the years but currently, this is what I do, play with Jeeps 😎
I bought the Tru-Flat Radial Tire Repair kit. It didn't come with any lubricant or rubber glue. It only came with 10 repair strips & 1 closed eye needle. Great tooltime moment, thanks! Stay healthy, stay inside! 👌
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent video have same kit love that garage and Jeeps 😱👊🏻
Nice done, thanks
Glad you enjoyed what you saw 😎
Great video! Thanks for the instruction and the bonus puppy vid! I carry a tire repair kit and feel a LOT more confident that I’ll know what I’m doing if I ever need it.
Awesome! Also, glad to hear you enjoyed the end clip :)
my 13 yr old Border Collie loved the ending
LOL - awesome :)
Tools in your garage are good to maintain a whole fleet.
Hopefully I’ll never need to use what I just learned 😃 but if I do I’m prepared and I have the same ARB kit. Thanks Eddie!
Awesome! :)
The tire industry would call you a menace to society. Lol i am with you plug if it is a pluggable puncture and get on with your life.
Good to see your ok. Stay salty and safe
Thank you :)
LOL - I would too but needed to put that out there for all the Negative Nancy's out there.
Wayalife to be fair, it is just barely in the side. It will probably never give you a problem.
Bracket for ARB compress works great....
Yup, super happy with how it came out :)
instead of the rasp, i use a cordless drill with a 1/4" bit. makes a cleaner hole to push the plug into. and it's easier.
That's great if you're in a garage but I was trying to show how this can be done on the trail as well :)
@@wayalife hence the _cordless_ drill :)
