What I've learned from watching all these videos by people travelling/living in Russia is: People in both America and Russia are basically the same and all the propaganda is damaging the potential for cultural exposure. I've started making Russian/Slavic recipes at home (in New York state, near Niagara Falls) and they are amazing! But because it is 'un-American' to enjoy Russian culture I have no way of knowing if what I'm making is accurate in taste/presentation. I would love to travel to Russia and see all the beauty it holds.

Yes, definitely. I worked 2015-2018 at an international electronics company in Moscow. It was nice to meet Natasha from "Year Russia" on your video. I am a follower of her channel. First I sought that it was here video. But it’s indeed yours. So I know yours now as well. It was very interesting to hear your discussion about Russia and the US. I am from Germany and I wished to learn more about living in Russias today. To build up a middleclass in Russia will take time. At least some generations because the middleclass bears the society in our world and I count Russia to the western world because of its European Culture. The middle class is a description given to individuals and households who typically fall between the working class and the upper class within a socio-economic hierarchy. In Western cultures, persons in the middle class tend to have a higher proportion of college degrees than those in the working class, have more income available for consumption, and may own property. Those in the middle class often are employed as professionals, managers, and civil servants. The word "middle" may be misleading in that it suggests that those in the middle class have earnings within the middle of the population's income distribution, which may not be the case. Middle class families tend to own their own home (although with a mortgage), own a car (although with a loan or lease), send their kids to college (although with student loans or scholarships), are saving for retirement, and have enough disposable savings to afford certain luxuries like dining out and vacations. There are some variations between the middle class in Germany and the US or between Germany and the UK or Frances. But in the end they are ferly similar to each other.

So cool that you get to meet people just on the streets. Videos like these remind me how impotent it is to travel and meet people abroad (and in different cities). Haven't been to the far east so far. Visited friends in Nizhny novgorod. And the church on the blood in Yekaterinburg. As well as some other cities like Orel and Spb. Ya know... I've noticed sometimes Russians use British expressions that I'm not very familiar with (being from USA)... and then also add their Rusinglish... can't help but smile.
The Wizard of Oz was a very popular book in the USSR, to the point that they had their own version and series of sequels! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_the_Emerald_City
This reminds me of the American Country music song, "Rose-colored Glasses" by John Conlee that achieved a degree of popularity and acclaim in the United States in the late 1970s. Listening to this song might etch in one's mind the most common way in the USA to express this concept of only seeing the good in something or someone and always overlooking the bad.

Hello from Texas! I've really enjoyed both of your content. Keep it up. It's great to learn about a culture that most Americans know very little about.
Us foreigners need MORE INFORMATION about the different Regions of Russia. I knew very little about Russia before this year. UA-camrs have brought Russia to my attention... now I'm fascinated by Russia (and former USSR countries). Now, I must ride the TRANS-SIBERIAN train, I must tour the "GOLDEN RING", I must have "BANYA", I must see LAKE BAIKAL, I must SNOWBOARD Sochi mountains, etc. These are things I did not know about Russia. Also, there are things about Russia that Russians do not appreciate about Russia, that many foreigners probably would appreciate. Volgograd/Stalingrad is a special, historic place, not just for Russia, but for the world. When I visit Russia I will go there to pay my respects.
Just don't buy trans-Siberian train tickets. That means sitting on a train for a week, and it stops for maximum 20-30 minutes in each city. They are also overpriced. Instead buy local train tickets from one city to the next when you are ready to move on. It's very easy to do it now on the RZD site, which works fine in English.
I love both of ur channels. I do my traveling vicariously through you guys. The trivial everyday Russian life is what is really interesting. Nice to see u all meet up and talk. Keep the videos coming.

Its interesting because yesterday I listened to a video of a Mexican guy living in Russia who was telling us that the current strength of Russia is to have developed a strong and growing middle class society !! Wouah what a contrast!! Now this guy was also a great Putine fan and wanted him to stay forever at the head of the Russian state!... Maybe the 2 view points are connected?! So..this is definitely one very interesting topic to dig in! Thank you so much both of you for your openess and your honesty! I truly enjoyed!

I live just outside Washington DC. I grew up in the Cold War (I was in grade school when Stalin died and remember that.) So I had the view of all these old politicians and of course we got a lot of pictures of how grim Russia was. So seeing channels like both of yours has changed my view greatly. I follow both of you (and also Eli -the red head, LOL.) I was particularly interested in Natasha's videos of Khabarovsk as a great aunt of mine was from there. I think Spb is underestimated as a city. It has similar qualities as Moscow. Thanks @YeahRussia and @RussianPlus for this video.
Just started watching Natasha and found you and enjoyed this collaboration please do another. Thanks from Dave from Scotland 🏴
sure. I invited Natasha to visit my hometown. Maybe she'll come one day
Good job Slava, you are an effective speaker and interviewer! 👍
I am glad to see RussianPlus again. I am delighted to listen to this interesting conversion with the participation of Natasha in excellent English. 22 minutes have passed before one realizes it! Thank you for this video!
Thanks to both of you hosts for doing this video together - it’s interesting & fun! 🌹♥️♥️🌹
Natasha is a sweetheart
Good collaboration. I never tire of Natasha's dry sense of humor - one entertaining young lady.
Love you, Natasha. This is the best interview of you I have seen. It was fun for many reasons, money, accents, kids, very fun.
My two favorite Russian bloggers...what a treat!
Natasha has gone a long way from just a pretty girl to the looks of a real Hollywood actress! Best wishes to you both and all Russian blogger community from another American migrant in Russia! 😊
@@antoniorsoftware the most not-zombie-looking "Hollywood zombie" actress.
oh @AntonioR's gone. i wonder why...
Paul V. Natasha has no or very little make up and is stunning to look at. She doesn't seem to need make up!
@@shakuntalalivneh8742 she is wearing make up
@@silverkitty2503 She is, but has not smeared her face in foundation minerals to the point I could get a mining permit for her forehead like other vloggers.
Cool to see you together. Your mentality is very much similar even there is a age gap. Looking forward to watch her video if she makes one. Keep up the good work 💪
Such a surprise, amazing! I'm a huge fan of you both! You two hit it off real well and had a deep and informative conversation. Loved Moscow in the background!
Thanks so much! Maybe we'll make some more in the future. Natasha planned on visiting Yekaterinburg one day.
UN experts studying the world's megacities admitted to Moscow one of the best cities in terms of quality of life, development of transport, health, education, as well as safety.
Awesome video Slava! I watch you both! Hello from Georgia, USA!
I watch both channels when I get an opportunity. So surprised to see you meet! Great video!
Full respect to the two of you and the little kid! ❤️
I was in Moscow a short while back and absolutely loved it! Admittedly my Russian isn't anywhere near as good as your English, but the people were incredibly friendly and understanding.
Shout out to the Russian guy and his family who got me onto the right Trans-Siberian train in Yaroslavlsky train station! Without your help my holiday would have been screwed!
Thank you for your honest views and all countries have their positive and negatives. Natasha is a wonderful presentation of Russia. Love both of you... From Malaysia.
Hello😊My name is Eugenia and I’m 24 y.o.I live in Russia🇷🇺 and show real life in the outback of Russia.I think you'll really like it.
This video was most certainly very entertaining and informative. And I watch both your channels on a regular basis.
Awesome, thank you!
Great video! As an American who has travelled Asia and Europe I need to visit beautiful Russia. Your country is amazing keep making the videos.
I’m a big fan of both of your channels so it was so awesome to see you both together. Отличие спасибо 👍
I love Natasha’s occasional Ringlish such as “pink glasses”, aka “rose colored glasses”. So charming.
Ya know... I've noticed sometimes Russians use British expressions that I'm not very familiar with (being from USA)... and then also add their Rusinglish... can't help but smile.
I picked up on the same solecism and in British English we would say rose tinted spectacles.
The Wizard of Oz was a very popular book in the USSR, to the point that they had their own version and series of sequels! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_the_Emerald_City
@@BruceHoult basically Volkov stole the story, copyright didn't exist then. Lol
I love both your channels! Nice to see you on a video together.
Nice meeting!!! I follow RussianPlus and since some weeks ago Yeah Russia! отлично!! I was very surprised the level of English of Alexey, very young peole! Amazing! He will be bilingual (as near is it), and it´s much probably he will study another more language(s). My Russian is basic, but little by little я говорю немного по-русски! Well, congratulations for both!!! Greetings from Málaga, Spain!
10:08 “parties with red cups”. It is so funny that every foreigner I meet has the same stories about our “red cups”. I don’t know why they are so popular but this is a fact 🤷♂️. And great Tennessee/Southern accent at 11:47 by the way! 😂👍
Great collaboration! Nice to see all my favorite vloggers in Russia supporting each other.
Natasha! You're presence on video is so much more professional these days! Your English is improving daily! It's no wonder you are so popular with people even as far as Canada🇨🇦! Natasha forever!!!
It was nice to see you both. I enjoy both of your channels. I hope to visit Russia some time soon. You are both great ambassadors for Russia. It has been great to see the various cities that we normally don't her about. There are many beautiful cities and villages in Russia. Keep up the good work. All the best to you!
I love Natasha and her channel. Her voice so angelic.
Nastya of IC3PEAK has an angelic voice, try them :-)
Man your translation skills are beyond normal, respect! I speak a few languages but I suck at translating words and phrases.
If my memory serves me right, I think, I came to know and eventually subscribe to Natasha's UA-cam channel upon your recommendation Slava... Good to see you together... God bless you both and may you be able to share more stories about Russia... I am one of your fans from Canada🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR AN EXCELLENT CONVERSATION WITH NATASHA !!!
The greatest benefit of travel, is a bigger perspective. Health and prosperity, guys! 😎👍
Hello from Texas! I've really enjoyed both of your content. Keep it up. It's great to learn about a culture that most Americans know very little about.
Great coalition of two great humans!
Thank you very much.
Best regards from Pennsylvania.

What a great video! I’m am subscribed to both of your channels now.
Brilliant! One of the nicest things I've watched in weeks, cheers to you both!
I love both of ur channels. I do my traveling vicariously through you guys. The trivial everyday Russian life is what is really interesting. Nice to see u all meet up and talk. Keep the videos coming.
I love Natasha! Been following her for a long time so cool you two did a collab.
Ok Natasha, everyone loves you, your videos are psychologically promising, and nurturing of hope.
Yeahhh.!!! I was thr in MOSCOW 2004, from Philippines 👍👍👍🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Fantastic show!! I follow both of you and have hoped that you would collaborate, and now you have!!! Thank you so much!! And young Alexi was quite a hit!! Maybe you can invite him to another of your vlogs!!
Thank you. Well he's got parents right haha. But I gave him my channel name. So I'm pretty sure he's watched the video
yeaahh! Just discovering Natasha!! and this is a truly great discussion between Slava and Natasha!
Was particularly interested by Natasha comment that there is no real middle class in Russia..!

Love the videos! So cool to see your walkin and talkin on the streets in Moscow. Looks like a beautiful city to visit. Lots of history!
Thank you! A wonderful tour of Moscow life! Great discussion!
Irish man 🇮🇪 , living in the 🇺🇸 and loving these 🇷🇺 videos. Great work 👏.
Thank you
I want to visit Moscow soon. Thanks guys for this amazing information video.
As a non Russian speaker, your Russian accents sound pretty similar, but your English accents are amazing! I've been watching Natasha now for awhile, but you are new to me. I picked out your Texas accent immediately! I'll have to watch your back catalog to see how you got it.
I’m a non Russian speaker and I can definitely tell a difference in his dialect for hers. It seems he speaks more fluidly compared to hers. It’s like the difference between northern US and the South.
She was married to an American army officer who was captured by the Japanese in the Philippines. She met my great uncle in China and I think was his translator, so now I understand how she was fluent in Chinese.
We love Natasha!!, Thanks to her we meet other new and interesting UA-cam vloggers 💪😎👍
ABSOLUTELY
I love her so much. In a wholesome way.
