I want to purchase one but it insists that I have a plastic handle. Why is that?
Doesn't really "lock"that well. I put the long arms as far as possible so it would help a bit cause it still retains so much play that there's a very real chance that someone stubborn will open it
Where can I get one of these from, and would it fit a 2007 PJ Ranger?
96 Ford Ranger. Bed has a tonneau cover. I installed the lock. Something went wrong. Tail gate is locked. Think the clip broke on the scissor clip. Handle opens but gate doesnt drop. How do I get the gate opened without destroying my cover.
What did you end up doing?
This thing is hot garbage, installed on my 07 ranger and won't lock or unlock. The locking tab gets stuck either against the tailgate itself or the slot in the handle it is suppose to go in. I love aftermarket companies that hire 1st year mechanical engineering interns to build/design parts for them.
