- Footage of several Indian Air Force Dassault Mirage 2000 planes, showing taxi, pre-flight checks, take off, balked landing and landing at RAF Waddington.
This was part of Cobra Warrior 2023.
I know some of this footage is a little shaky but in order to view the runway at RAF Waddington you have to stand by the hedge, on a grass verge standing on a ladder so handholding a long lens like this makes it difficult :)

Dassault, not "dissault"! Dassault is the name from the founder, Marcel Dassault (hearly name: Marcel Bloch before WW2).Marcel Bloch start he's aviation engineer carrer as propeller designer (Hélices Eclair) during WW1...

That is no touch and go in this video my friend…It’s called Balked Landing when u initiate a Go around at very low energy above the runway or very close to touchdown

True! All the radars and sensors that rafale has can be installed in mirage2000 too! But this design and fuselage is too old! Rafale has more power which enhances its radar performance plus it has lower RCS! But yeah ur totally right that these aircarfts especially the upgarded ones with indians are at par with f16block60 .. its just france didnt had enough demand like f16 for mirage! And they themselves wanted to start manufacturing rafale which was overall better aircraft!
Other than that! Mirage 2000 with few upgrades can easily fly into mid 2030s

Low approaches, not balked landings…fighters typically don’t do touch&goes to save wear and tear on the tires…

Lca tejas uses a 85 kn engine...
Mirage 2000 uses 95 kn engine...
But why difference in class...
Because tejas was meant to be a very small and light aircraft so it got its 1.8 mach speed from the 85 kn engine
Tejas is a lighter and smaller fighter. It still has a better Power to Weight ratio than Mirage2000.
