I disagree with your usage of the word asian. I think the geographical usage of asian is absurd. Geographically speaking, Europe too is within Asia since it sits on the same tectonic plate as both East and South East Asia, same can be said for the majority of Middle East. But unlike Middle East and Europe, the majority of South Asia sits on the Indian-Subcontinent (which then merged with the rest of Asia but it could be more objectively categorized as a continent than Europe). In the past, EU thought they were different based on language, culture and phenotype. But based on those factors, it would make Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, EA/SEA all their own continents. It's quite eurocentric, it doesn't make sense since the ancient europeans just wanted to separate themselves from the rest and were not aware of the different people on the same continent as them. That's why the usage of the word "asian" phenotypically makes much more sense than the geographical usage, because I'm not gonna start calling a white european as "asian", the same will be for a desi from South Asia or an arab person from the Middle East. Genetically, both EA and SEA are closely genetically similar/related to each other while being distinct from the rest, and that's why in most english speaking countries such as Australia, US, Canada and New Zealand, people refer EA and SEA as "asian" phenotypically. South Asia is much more genetically related to Middle Easterners and Europeans, but I'm refering mostly to Desi's. There are exceptions like North East indians who account for only 3.5% of India's population. Here's an example of why phenotype exist and matters. During the pandemic, everyone is quite familiar with the asian attacks in the US. But the same scenario happened in India against the north east indians who account for 3.5% of their population. They suffered from racism because of their EA/SEA ancestry that makes them phenotypically more like us. This case of racism caused by the difference in phenotype has been studied and aknowledged by the National Library of Medecine. Recently due to the admiration that many people have towards EA, they want to associate themselves with those who are phenotypically EA due to fetish and obsession. If we were in an alternate universe which Korea and Japan didn't do positive cultural exportation (softpower) with things like anime or kpop, then people outside of EA/SEA wouldn't even care about being refered as asian. Another point: Btw, for context, I live in Canada. I kind of interviewed people about the word "american". I asked them "hey, I know nationally we are canadians right? But would you consider yourself as an american because we live in North America?". People mainly responded: "No, it doesn't work this way, colloquially, the word american is used to describe US citizens despite the fact we live in North America, it's the same reason I wouldn't call a mexican as american despite them living in South America" (unless they are US citizens). Many South Asians on internet either blaming racism from EA for excluding them from being refered as "asian" or the ignorance of americans. But they use the word american to refer to the US citizens exclusively. By the way, them not being refered as "asian" doesn't mean that they are being ignored. It's because the word "asian" being mostly refered phenotypically never was intended to refer to them in the first place during a conversation. If someone wanted to refer to an arab person, I wouldn't start complaining that I feel left out because I'm not included, that would be absurd because I know the word is meant to phenotypically refer to someone from the Middle East, same for Desi. And in terms of nationality, I won't start complaining the fact that people don't call Canadians as Americans. People often talk more about US than Canada and that's why I'm not gonna hear much about canadians being refered. Well guess what, due to the soft power from EA, they are what people often talk about. Due to softpower many people are interested into the culture of EA/SEA and even wants to marry someone who is phenotypically "asian". It's as if Europeans are gonna start complaining that people talk less about them and focus more their attention towards EA media. In summary, I notice that a lot of people mix between the concepts of nationality, ethnicity, culture, religion together, and that's why it creates a lot of confusion. Those concepts are all part of one's identity, but they aren't the same things. And basically, because of the many reasons I mentionned, the geographical word of "asian" doesn't make sense because it's not cohesive, it's ABSURDLY incoherent.
I would disagree with the geographical usage of the word asian since it's incoherent. Geographically speaking, Europe too is a region in Asia, it never was it's own continent. Europe is situated on the same tectonic plate as both East and South East Asia and so is Middle East as well with the exception for the majority of South Asia which is situated on the Indian-Subcontinent. The reason why people tend to think that Europe is it's own continent is due to the ancient europeans that were not aware of the diversity within the continent and just separated themselves based on factors such as language, culture, religion and mainly PHENOTYPE. By following the same logic and being consistant as to why Europe is a continent, that would make Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, East and South East Asia their own continents due to the same reasons as ethnicity, culture, phenotype, etc... Other ethnicities outside of EA and SEA are not being ignored just because they aren't being refered as "asian" just like how the word "american" isn't refering to all people within North and South America. It's simply due to the phenotypical usage that is commonly used to refer to people with East/South East Asian phenotype. It's the same reason as to why when I say "arab" I'm not excluding everyone outside of the Middle East, I'm likely refering to someone who's phenotype would belong to the Middle East. Words are meant to express ourselves, it's not only about exclusion or inclusion. Phenotype does exist and it affects us everyday, there's nothing wrong being different and I think it's fine to accept it and cohexist, but some people are hateful about it, as you know what happened during the pandemic in the US. As a Thai only some of them can apply on Thai , About learning piano, only economically stable family( which is actualy few but act like there are many of them) actually get their child learn piano, but it not enough, i see some of parents in Bangkok send their 4 years old child learn both Piano, Gymnastic, Dancing, Swimming, Extra class on Math, Logic, Computing on the same child and plan them for just to be a doctor. And i directly heard their reasons, parents are tied their own worth on child like kpop fan escapism on their idol so their child achievement just mean their achievements but the worst think is they belittling other people for can not do something their child can. I feel tired as fuck just to see this keep happening and want to be just born as cat or even cute game character sometimes
I also had to take piano lessons growing up, but I always had my eye (and ear) on the guzheng so I practiced that for most of my life now I'm super good at it and I enjoy playing it. I've also touched every other type of zither on the planet at this point too. Dan bau is especially a favourite.

Your race does not determine such a thing, and we should pay a little more respect to each culture and each individual in different Asian countries. You can categorize yourself with those stupid stereotypes if you want, but it’s not cool to categorize others.
@@abccafe1 yeah and like even though people say those things are stereotype and doesn't apply to lambda asians, for example "I'm lambda asian and my cousins are shit at school so it doesn't apply to all asian", like well yeah, that's why it's a stereotype, there are always people bad with school
“Damn so are you Chinese or Japanese?”
As an indian even though it is a country in asia they call us indians like bro we too are asians the heck!!
Lore accurate Asian life before gta6
i vibe with this editing and humor, you now have an additional subscriber
2:32 This is so relatable, I spent 6 years of my damn life forced to play basketball because of my parents.
I didn't even like one bit of it and I absolutely learned nothing useful from learning it either.
As a Thai only some of them can apply on Thai ,
About learning piano, only economically stable family( which is actualy few but act like there are many of them) actually get their child learn piano, but it not enough, i see some of parents in Bangkok send their 4 years old child learn both Piano, Gymnastic, Dancing, Swimming, Extra class on Math, Logic, Computing on the same child and plan them for just to be a doctor.
As an accurate, I can video that this Asian guy is 100% confirm
My brain exploded
As an Asian guy, I also confirm this video is 100% accurate

how ur not cancelled is an achievement in its own ( im not trying to so its all good )
I also had to take piano lessons growing up, but I always had my eye (and ear) on the guzheng so I practiced that for most of my life now I'm super good at it and I enjoy playing it. I've also touched every other type of zither on the planet at this point too. Dan bau is especially a favourite.

As an Asian boi, I love being racist to specific minorities and not apologizing for it!
As an Asian from Bangladesh, we didn’t exist until bro remembered us
Yup…and that’s why Asian stereotypes will perpetually circulate every generation. When there’s an Asian UA-camr, it’s almost like self-derogatory jokes are mandatory. Sooner or later, they have to make a video about it. I know it’s just jokes, but I’m tired of seeing these since UA-cam’s conception. It gets old. You might be capitalizing on it, but it does a disservice to the community. Join the ranks of Uncle Roger and Bobby Lee. 🤦
thanks for the joke disclaimer i almost didnt catch that
Damn, the chris tyson drama was two weeks ago
Ah yes,it took me a decade to realise that my classmate was being racist yelling at me “THATS PEE” referring to the tea my mum made for me and put in a clear water bottle to bring to school
CONGRATS on the 1/10 video!! 50k is crazy!
1:14 correction of your statement.
When referring to Asia, most people will mention china and sometimes Japan. They usually don’t even mention Korea.
as a person living in palikir , Micronesia 🇫🇲 This is 100% correct
It’s crazy that us Bengalis aren’t usually thought of when you think of asia but we’re geographically and culturally right in the middle of Asia a bridge between India and Southeast Asia
if this is accurate for all asians across the board im guessing we are all one
As a white Polish person i can definitely relate to this.🔥
Sounds like a Chinese issue, Japanese, Koreans, Taiwanese do not have a such issue nowadays
As an Asian yes we are mega racist and even racist towards our own race for borning in a different town, Dunno about western, but the eastern are literally what the stereotype thinks of Japaneses.
I liked a comment from an American on a travel website - "I'm thinking to travel to Asia - will I need to learn to speak Asian ?"
That thumbnail was F@(KED UP NGL, but its funny, but its still F@(KED UP.
Basically people think Asian as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or others that look like these three groups.

I wish my parents made me learn piano or violin, I was so jealous of the kids who could play them.

In home we eat 🥦🥬
In all you can eat buffet we eat 🥩🥓
Why? It's not about meat, it's about making my money worth
1:50 This can vary though for the branch of Asians known as Indians, where instead of a lawyer, the old lady tells them, before the child is born, if they will be a doctor or an engineer. If the child will be a doctor, then the child is a girl, and if the child will be an engineer, then the child is a boy.
I highly believe that the geographical usage of the word "asian" is absurdly incoherent.
Geographically speaking, Europe too is a region in Asia just like Middle East, Central Asia and so on... it never was it's own continent.
Europe is situated on the same tectonic plate as both East and South East Asia and so is Middle East with the exception for the majority of South Asia which is situated on the Indian-Subcontinent. The reason why people tend to think that Europe is it's own continent is due to the ancient europeans that were not aware of the diversity within the continent and just separated themselves based on factors such as language, culture, religion and mainly PHENOTYPE.
By following the same logic and being consistant as to why Europe is a continent, it would imply that Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, East and South East Asia are all their own continents due to the same reasons as ethnicity, culture, phenotype, etc... Other ethnicities outside of East Asia and South East Asia are not being ignored just because they aren't being refered as "asian", and it's like how the word "american" isn't refering to all people within North and South America.
It's simply due to the phenotypical usage that is commonly used to refer to people with East and South East Asian phenotype. It makes much more sense since East and South East asians are genetically closely similar, related.
For example, if people say "arab", their intention is not to exclude everyone outside of the Middle East, they're likely trying to refer to someone who's ancestry and phenotype belongs to the Middle East, the same can be said for the word desi.
as a bangali, the bangladeshi one is on fuckin point 🗿
As a latino, i cant relate, everyone here is miserable
