Of course, the title is "A Visit From St. Nicholas. " Over the years, words have been changed. We recently found a book with the original words. Donner was not a reindeer, but it was the name of a family trying to go out west with terrible misfortune. You are probably an expert on the story and very proud of your ancestor who created a story treasured by children every year. My grandfather read it to my dad and his brothers every Christmas Eve. My dad read it to my sister and me every year. Unfortunately, my husband didn't continue the tradition for our girls or grandsons. It will always be a special memory to me.

Whom ever decorated/styled the store paid a great deal to detail. I really enjoyed your video today. I wish I was there. My daughter moved from that area with her family after living out there for 13 yrs. I use to go out there several times a year for a visit. I always enjoyed shopping in Houston this time of the year. I noticed a Patriotic nutcracker in the window, a Uncle Sam. 3 yr ago I started a collection of Christmas Patriotic items, I have wall plaques, Santas, Snowmen, nutcrackers, framed pics and a mug. I have 18 pcs. in wood, ceramic,& plush and I really like them, and they make a nice display. My friends helps me hunt when she is out, and has picked up several pcs. for me. I enjoy UR thrift shopping trips!

I am always happy to go with you.👏.The Gorham,cherry wood is so reasonably priced.I payed a lot more for mine.I really love gorham.The lady anne balloon wines are beautifull.I bought the balloon wine from Macy in the early 2000s, cuz I couldnt afford the 12 in waterford lismore. They look pretty close and just as pretty.You are a true expert on table top and I do learn from you❤

One of the many things I have collected over the years is Nutcrackers, Steinbach being my favorite! I have a substantial collection, but I've had to stop collecting as I've run out of room for any more.....

Wow! So many beautiful Christmas items.....hope I can manage to visit before everything is gone as I know the Christmas shop has been open awhile. I'm not sure I could identify a single favorite item but overall I loved the tablescape in silver/platinum and glass. Really stunning! The Steinbach nutcracker and the Waterford tree topper were real finds. You're a sweet mom to get the topper for your daughter. Also loved the aqua seahorse ornament, and the antique curio cabinet with the rounded front and sides.
