This is so respectful and thoughtful of the staff to return items to the living relatives 🔮, I lost 3 large boxes of family heirloom books through the postal services when they lost my items,,,how wonderful it would be to find my family treasures returned after the neglect of the us postal service.
Sorry this happened to you. I can relate... one of our genealogy books was inadvertently sold in my father's estate sale. It's sickening. Would be amazing to find it in a resale or antique shop someday. Have even looked on eBay.

So interesting. There is a small charity resale shop in my town that supports a local mission and soup kitchen. It's not as fancy as this shop. However, I've found some really nice things there. I also donate my very humble possessions to them as a way to support their vital work. Blessings from Indiana.

I wish I had shops like that around where I live...and it was really wonderful of that lady to research and find living descendants and return the family long lost treasures back to them...very impressive. Thank you for sharing...I always look forward to your videos.

My eccentric aunt always kept my grandmothers huge Limoges soup tureen in the middle of her dresser top. It was beautiful, the handle was sculptural in the form of lilies of the valley and leaves. Inside she kept the elastic waistband from her panty hose, when I asked her why? She answered "you never know when you might need a big rubber band" LOL A depression baby.
Our Depression era family members certainly saved everything. Love that your aunt used a soup tureen to hold items on her dresser. Brilliant!

Please think about a show on the Indian Summer pattern. Many brands have done this pattern; would be an interesting approach to explaining a beautiful design. I own Indian Summer in Coalport, Johnson Bros, and Spode. It all can be worked together.
Elizabeth, Indian Tree is on my radar. This seems to be the same as Indian Summer. I purchased an enormous Sadler display teapot in this pattern. You will see in a future segment on the Franklin, TN antique mall.

I would use the covered serving bowl with those petite flowers as an actual serving dish. It keeps food warm & you can match it with new or old colored plates found in the colors of the flowers. I use my pink & green depression glass dishes with odd covered bowls with lids. Makes the table look pretty & serves a function as well. If gold or silver trim, wash by hand. But for good friends for lunch/dinner, washing by hand in the kitchen provides quality time catching up with each others lives. It makes the "work" go faster too. And often, they get caught up in what you are doing & just jump in wanting to dry the lovely dishes for you, rather than drying on the racks. It often brings back Mom or Grandma memories we share as well.
Good tips and insight! Yes, hand washing is a must with vintage, gold rimmed china. So many uses for this oval covered casserole dish. My friend bought it and I am anxious to see the many ways she enjoys it.
Oh, Rafaella is one of my favorites! That brand really just fits me wonderfully!

Love those Kuwait tea cups. I would use these for desserts - perhaps a white chocolate mousse or a lemon cream. Light and elegant. And gosh, those prices are for which to die! I am developing some cocktails for a French company and looking for just individual glasses for staging. I need to move to Texas. Thin pickin's here! X
Come to Texas with lots of suitcases. Ha! Those tea cups would be good for small sips or dips.
I am filming in Tennessee this week and brought the cups to a friend. She grew up in Kuwait and was pleased to have them.

Hi Mary Beth, I have my table set for my dinner party tomorrow night. I’ve placed a dessert plate on top of my dinner plate with my Waterford ice cream bowl on top of that plate. It looks lovely. My question is, when should I remove the dessert plate? It seems awkward if my guests are already seated at the table. What is your opinion? Thanks for your help😍
I often place dessert plates on the dining room buffet/server for ease of serving. Definitely remove from the place setting. Enjoy your dinner and beautiful table setting! 🍽❤️

I think the owl plates were $29 each, but please check with the shop. I filmed October 13 and saw many items and prices. Could be sold or have a different price. 🤷🏼♀️
