Through To-Kit's month explained in Chinese, it gives audience (me) second chance to re-explore the song with more layers of meaning of the song. Hong Kong needs more To-kit, who able to bring classic Broadway musical to general public (....in a simple, easy understand and interested ways!!!)
It is possible to do plays such as Andrew Lloyd Weber in Chinese; but the plays will be different but equally good. It is unfair to say, "can you do a play like Evita?" It is possible to do a play in Chinese as good as Evita. But to follow Evita but do it in Chinese is not a fair test.

廣東話有套雪狼湖，雪狼湖入流嗎? 不入流。怪怪的。evita太多人有既有印象，太經典。香港根本無能力有歌劇市場，好middle class的，真果隻。日本就能養起一團寶塚，非常賺錢，非常成功。香港能有寶塚或類似的團? 無可能。
日本人真是最懂，單從他們懂向奧地利買 新派歌劇 Elizabeth 就知是大行家，南韓跟在後面，Elizabeth 有好多國版本，除了英文，你們去聽一聽，裡面的歌是甚麼水準，劇本是甚麼水準。大陸人滿懂，好多大陸人迷這套劇。新派歌劇要非常細緻，精緻，廣東話世界絕對做唔到，應該用廣東話配去Elizabeth 裡面的歌，會好嘔。
而死神，有個死神角色，講廣東話在訴說他對Sisi 的愛，廣東話無這種語景。廣東話真係做唔到。
其實廣東話冇音樂劇唔代表佢低一等~你呢種比較同輕視, 非常草率. 我建議你研究西洋歌劇現代化過程到美式音樂劇, 同時平衡研究中國民國時間開始, 粵劇戲曲呢門藝術同中國現代化之間嘅問題, 再同時留意下廣東話比起西方印歐語系, 字句中響音分佈嘅根本差異. 你就會了解, 點解香港會出唔到英美格式嘅Musical. 仲有要睇埋儒家文化影響任白如何教導徒弟, 再對比 Elvira de Hidalgo 同Callas, Lauri Volpi 同Franco Corelli 嘅Mentoring 文化中西差異.
其實好多人喺粵劇現代化做左好多野, 點知一跳就去左雪狼湖. 其實已經好出色
華文地區, 得香港能夠做得出一套賞心悅目嘅音樂劇, 而當時仲起用左陳潔儀. 係新加坡國寶級嘅廣東話歌手. 當年(8~90's)香港音樂軟實力可謂如日中天.
唔係咩都踩華文就叫做有見識, 研究多D先去拾陶生牙慧啦~

完全唔同意陶傑的講法, 正如我哋嘅廣東話歌曲都可以非常流行到東南亞以至全世界, 只要歌詞寫得好和配合音韻就可以, 佢唔係音樂人佢好難理解點解可以做得到
