TEXT:
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; the crooked straight, and the rough places plain.
All praise the lord, our savior, sir you sing with such emotion, we shall all give our love to the holy lord himself!
Perfect voice for Handel-- beautifully delivered and inspired
🙏🙏
This man is beautiful ❤
Strength, moderation, colorature.....I love it !
For the people of Israel “comfort ye my people “
What a vocal performance! Awesome!
Beautiful voice and great stage presence, I think I met Nicholas years ago when I was singing Woglinde in San Francisco some years back. Would love to hear some Romantic opera out of such a truly italianate voce. Gorgeous guy too! Bravo to him!
One of my best songs.
great performance
Gracias por tanto equilibrio, expresión, adecuación al género... brillante interpretación.
Absolutely magnificent!!! This may be my favorite rendition of this on UA-cam! very well done!

Hope you like Michael Spyres- he has gone on to considerable fame since this low key casual mobile phone recording :)
Very simple but challenging piece, well done
Deceptive . Simple but frought with hidden obstacles that can so easily ruin it. Ive sung it with organ. If you get off by a fraction in rhythm, there is no smooth way to hook up. A skilled organist will catch you at the end of the phrase as long as the singer doesnt try to help (which I usually tried to do). Then its an obvious mistake, no hidiing it, and your life is over for a few days. You get to sit there for the rest of the evening, replaying and exaggerating it out of purportion. Its TORTURE! Eventually you hear the recording and its not that bad. Few noticed.
Lovely performance.
Magnificent!
Amazing
A voz muito bonita mas precisa ser com a alma
Nice job - good meeting you at Izzy's birthday a few weeks ago.
Interesting phrasing..
Wonderful control and technique.
tGreat
This must be in some baroque tuning right? Sounds like Eb instead of E to me
I'm guessing it's an Original Instruments version (where period instruments are played in the tuning for which they were built). Definitely (slightly) more than a semi-tone flat from A440. Which would make it A=415 or thereabouts.
The explosion in his final “d” seems odd
We get so used to hearing things one way, it does seem odd when someone changes it. Especially with this music.
Hot.
He does have a "cool", relaxed presence. Beautiful voice until under pressure. I hope he fixes the tendency to widen and spread on the way up the scale. "Play hey hey hey hain". Vibrato slow and wide. "Stray hey hey hey hate". This is a beautiful man, and a great voice. I dont mean to be critical, but had I heeded these same early warning signs instead of forging ahead I might be the one singing while some asshole comments on UA-cam. Instead I AM THAT ASSHOLE.
No you're not ! If you can appreciate and assess, you're a good Guy !
Good voice, but some of his timing and placement is kinda weird… 🤨
mannerisms and shortage of breath. Not very well performed
