Having had a career as a professional orchestral violinist, I had the absolute joy of performing Handel’s Messiah, with many a group of singers/soloists and have just stumbled upon this video… I can truly say this is the most perfect performance I’ve ever heard… every moment the Word is shaped and emotionally expressed!! Bravi Tutti!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
as soon as I see the harpsichordist, I know it's Trinity street! I love their Handel Messiahs, with different singers. Thank you for the tenor aria collage. I like ot very much!
I recently evaluated a dozen acclaimed recordings of _Messiah_ with a ruthlessly critical ear, and the only peers I found to the Trinity recording (Naxos, 1999) were performances conducted by Harry Christophers (The Sixteen) and Peter Dijkstra (Bavarian Radio Chorus and B'Rock, the Belgian Baroque Orchestra Ghent).
I could watch this forever. Lovely. The conductor also is such an incredible joy to watch. Bless you all forever.
Thy rebuke has broken his heart....I love the way he sings it

Bravo! I can hear the loving voice of the Lord calling His people to gather around him. Thank you!
Wow! Sounds wonderful, Stephen!
Sobresaliente el tenor, qué pureza de emisión, qué voz más varonil y prístina tiene Sands. Y la orquesta es buenísima también.
My mom suggested this as my next song
Que buen coro!☺
Very nice sound
_This_ is why the Trinity Choir/Orchestra recording of _Messiah_ is my absolute favorite!

Bonjour c'est Samuel très bien
An excellent performance bravo
Beautiful performance by orchestra and singer. Conductor exquisite
Just fantastic!
Where can I find a full version of this performance of Messiah?
Sands is also a conductor
cool!
The “laughed him to scorn” was not not loud
Unless it's the transmission, a bit of roughness. Listen to SERGEI LEMESHEV sing.
