I have a ominicharge 20 and I want to know what is the best portable solar panel I can get to power my power bank. I want one that can charge fast that I can put in my bug out bag.
Good review. Although it could have been better if you'd have shown us power output measured with an efficiency meter showing live ampage and voltage measurements whilst it actively charged your devices.
Both are great for different reasons. The GZ can recharge the AA/AAA's making it great for that reason. The Joos has the internal battery and is waterproof but a little heavy.
Hi this is mauricio from Bogota Colombia, please can you advise other brand in solar solutions in special outdoor use? we want to check other options , thanks a lot.
hey i like this but i need one that also can charge my laptop.. do you know good ones that are not that expansive.. im new to all of this so if i got a laptop solar kit can it also charge battery's and phones ..?
Laptops require more power to charge, so a netbook or tablet maybe but for a laptop you will need a more serious solution. GoalZero makes some more expensive kits you could look at.
Good video! I was just looking into buying a Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Solar Kit mainly to charge my kindles, cell phone and possibly an iPad. However I read a review on L.L.Bean saying that a customer could not get this device to charge his iPhone or iPad even though the description says you can. He noticed a few messages while charging. One message was that the device wasn't recognized. The other was that the device may not be supported. Someone replied that they had the same problem but found a solution. He said "You CANNOT use a charge/data cable to charge the phone. This gives the error message on the device. You have to use a CHARGE ONLY cable to charge smart phones (ie., your car charging cable is a charge only cable, for example, not a charge/data cable like your plug-in-the-wall charger or computer cable)." Is this your experience as well or no?
Anyone know how to charge 18650's from this? All of the USB 18650 chargers I find when googling are battery packs for charging other devices, not for charging the 18650's themselves.
I just bought a Nomad 20 and I'm not impressed. It did charge 2 Goal Zero led flashlights at the same time but that's it. It wouldn't charge my note 9 or s23ultra. My tablet went from 42% down to 32%. I even plugged an 18650 battery which is 3500 mah into the usb port and after 9 hours, nothing.
Hi there just wondering where can I get these from here in new Zealand and if not can you please send me all of the ones that are like the ones in video
If you’re still looking for one I’m going back to NZD in April I’d be more than happy to bring you a set brother, I love Kiwi people greatest people on Earth.
Great review!! I will be calling to see if they will upgrade mine to the 7.
enjoyed the vídeos of the solar pannels and gear
Just got mine this week. Awesome item.
1GunGurl Nice
Great review! I had to upgrade my 3.5 to the 7, and they did it at no cost. Great customer service at Goal Zero. The 7 is leaps and bounds better!
They did the same for me, pretty sure I got the idea from you!
HA! Really?
Good idea, thanks, I will check them out.
I have the older Nomad 7, and a Nomad 13 also, and can link them for 20 watts. I am thinking of getting a Nomad 20 solar panel too.
Geoffr524 I'd like that Nomad 20 as well.

Cole Thompson turn off the power saving on the phone and it should work.

I believe Nitecore and Fenix make chargers that are 12V and could be plugged into the Nomad 7.
If you were two daisy chain two nomad 7s together would it just increase the output watts to 14? Essentially creating a nomad 13?
crazeyes92 yes, i believe so.
Which solar panel charger would you recommend for about $100?
anker and ravpower make affordable panels that work pretty well. if you need daisy chaining or 12v capability go with goalzero.
Do you know if you can charge energizer or duracell batteries in the charger?
Farad152000 No! Use only rechargeable batteries. Dangerous to try charging normal batteries!
What is the largest Mah battery pack that you have charged with the Nomad 7?
+Ken Varney i don't have it anymore.

it says not to charge a device when it's in the cargo mesh pocket.
just make sure it doesn't over heat.
will this charge on cloudy days? because my torch 250 won't
+TS O'Day your charge rate drops drastically with cloud cover.
The haze reduces power as well.

How long would it take for this panel to charge 250w battery generator?
Like a month
Where can I get the goal zero in México?
Esteban Mg AMAZON LOL

Deep South Experience thanks Stan, appreciate the comment.
2600 mAh won’t fully charge an iPhone 8
Такое дерьмо, не стоит оно столько!!!
