- Mr. Bucky was tired of eating sandwiches since I sprang my thumb so he decided to cook us a good meal.
Here are the ingredient he used for this meal he calls
Southwestern Always Tender Cube Steak:
Oil for browning meat
All-purpose flour for dredging meat
4 pieces of cubed steak, floured and brown in a little oil
4 medium red potatoes, peeled
4 carrots, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Salsa of your choice about 1/2 cup
1 1/2 cups water
1-2 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to one hour at 375 degrees

Wow! Mr. Bucky is a prime example for the rest of us guys to be considerate with their ladies, Southwest Cubesteaks with fancy green beans, warmed up french toast with loads of butter, well whether its olive oil or butter, but fats are good for ya all. Sure glad Mr. Bucky's out of his cold, when somebody is afflicted with a cold, oh, ya feel miserable, sure glad it wasn't pneumonia, and hoping that sprained thumbs heals up fast and nice Miss Phyllis, take care ya all and here's to your health(those yummy cube steaks!)! :)

My late husband used to make homemade roll out chicken and dumplings about twice a year. Believe me, it took me a couple of hours to clean up the kitchen, but the kids and I loved it. No way were my dumplings as good as his.

I have 90/10 ground chuck in the fridge along with everything else. I'm having company over the Saturday evening for supper & games of cards. I was wondering today what I was going to make for supper. Now I know. Mr.Buckey did a fantastic job cooking. Who knew he was such a chef, (a good chef always tells by their nose). Sorry to hear he's feeling ill but happy to hear he's getting better. With that awful flu going around it sorta makes one think twice before shaking hands. Really enjoyed your video. Awwwww sooooo sooooo sweet and precious Mr. Bucky!!!!! Brings tears to my eyes to think in 6 months from the date he stood there and cooked that dinner- he would quietly go to sleep in his favorite recliner and be ushered home to glory.... but also that in just a matter of weeks that Mrs Phyllis would be diagnosed with rare cancer.... I'm a bit annoyed with myself tonight...I made a Pumpkin Spice cake & accidentally left it in the oven a few minutes too long...I told myself, "I bet Miss Phyllis NEVER does that"... : )
I have certainly left a cake too long in the oven - it makes them very dry which I super do not like.
If there is any kind of mistake ever made in the kitchen I can assure you I have made it probably more than just one time. I thought Mr. Bucky made a very good meal especially since we haven't had a full meal in several days because of my sprang thumb.
I've never seen the word 'sprang' before in this context so I looked it up. It's the past tense of 'spring'.
Tears sprang from my eyes when I sprained my thumb?

Awww hugs Mr. Bucky.. next time you get a cold, try 1tsp of black pepper in 2Tbsp of wild honey, take as medicine (1/2tsp dose) and sip tea, afterwards.. stay away from milk products that builds more mucus... just one home remedy, but I had a few a gave my man, when he had pneumonia and managed to get rid of it within 6 days.. poor man couldn't breath when he laid down!! Blessings to you and what a Wonderful dinner you made for yourself and Ms. Phyllis!!! 😊💖

My beloved hubby only knew how to cook Hamburger Helper when we first got together. Not one box of THAT crap comes I no my home. I do have to tell you that after 35 yrs of marriage and 1 1/2 yes together before marrage, he cooks just about as good as I do. I LOVE that Mr. Bucky is cooking for you both. He's so cute. Seems Phyllis needs more time to recover so Mr Bucky can have more practice cooking! YES!!!! Phyllis you are a wonderful patient teacher!
