The joy both these guys have for this food is genuinely delightful. They should go on the road as a team.

He has real authentic dishes and amazing how he gives so many details of ingredients and how things are prepared. This looks like a truly great Jewish deli.

These are the kind of places I want to spend my money. You can sense the quality, and it’s what I want to eat always. Always sounds good daily.

The next time my wife and I visit Houston this place is going to be on the restaurant list. It can’t be cheap because the portions are enormous. I couldn’t eat that much of a corned beef and pastrami sandwich in three meals. That slice of cheese cake is easily twice the size of any other slice in any other restaurant I’ve eaten in. Nobody gives you a slice that big even if it’s a dessert for two that’s meant to be shared. I’m so tired of shrinkflation at restaurants and clearly it’s not going on here.

5:20 "Do you know why they sell Gabilla's Square Knishes? Because Shatzkin's burned in the early 70s. My freezer is half full of them!" said the Boy from East New York, Brooklyn, USA, who's lived in Austin since 1987.

fantastic video! I grew up in Meyerland around a bunch of Jewish friends but never went to a deli for some reason. I need to come here. The second half of the video only has audio on the left side for some reason.

I worked at a Jewish deli as a kid, and K&Z’s is legit. Ziggy’s said that they sell the most pickles in the US. I thought Zingerman’s Deli in Ann Arbor held that title. Whatever - great place!

I hate the galleria area because it’s too congested and crowded, hard to find parking. But I’ll make the exception and effort to go just because it looks good and I’ve never had Jewish food.

I would love to order something else on the menu, but I can only go a couple times a year so I almost always get a stuffed cabbage app and the chopped liver/pastrami sandwich with a Brooklyn lager to wash it down. Used to live in NY so this place is a slice of home.

Montgomery try Phils BBQ hear the Tacos are huge!!!
A new BBQ place opened across the way so Phils got some competition...they are only opened until they run out of BBQ however, but not Phils. I love family owned eateries 🎉

I do not care for Kenny and Ziggy’s. Their egg salad is in huge hunks (👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻), their Black and White cookies are terrible (the taste and texture), and their so-called Matzoh Ball “Soup” is served deconstructed, with only about ¼ cup of broth. The chicken is shredded, and in a pile on the plate, the matzoh ball is also on the plate, utterly without broth-it is insane! I have tried desperately to find something there I enjoy, and fail, every single time.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Get the pastrami sandwich on rye with sauerkraut.
      Pastrami comes out warm.
