8:27 this is extremely true. My wife argued to be let our baby be born naturally. It’s not uncommon for hospitals to push for C section as it is faster and (coincidently makes the most profits to the hospital) and to make it worse, women have to stay longer there. All at the expense of “move it quick. But she persisted and we have a healthy baby boy who NEVER gets sick! It’s insane. I have had the flu and he doesn’t. But again breast feeding is another factor for his strong health. He gets all the antibodies of his mom even before he can fight anything and his body advances much faster than a formula fed baby. Everyone thinks he’s 3-4 years when he’s only 1

There are two quotes that go well together: "choose a person who has achieved what you want and model your own habits and values after theirs." and "look at what 90% of people do and do the opposite." Most people are unsuccessful, unhappy and unhealthy, and yet we tend to take advise from our unhealthy, unsuccessful and unhappy peers while vilifying those who have achieved what we want and should be taken as role models. It may well be true that the system is rigged against us, but we knew that already for many decades, and yet we still comply with everything the system imposes onto us. Instead of letting the system rule us, we should use the system for our own benefit. Do the opposite of what the drug industry and food industry want us to, do proper research outside of school, expect everything anybody ever tells you to be propaganda aimed to manipulate you, do your own research but keep in mind that all research results are written not by the scientists but by the people funding the research.....and form your own opinions.

Great video, I just have a problem with the clip at 9:05. Don't let basic chemistry scare you into depriving you or your loved ones of medication they might actually need. While the formulas for meth and adderall LOOK very similar, so are the formulas for CO2(harmless) and CO(deadly), or NaF(toothpaste) and NaCl(table salt). All I'm saying, basing the supposed similarity of meth and adderall (which I'm NOT disputing) on a chart in a UA-cam video contradicts the overall message of this video, which is to educate yourself.

Ask a meth head, he will confirm that meth makes him more productive and capable of better concentration ;) At least until his mind becomes dependant on the effects. I’m a chemistry major, and I can tell you that medical research and most scientific research IS guided by large institutional interest. After WW2 rich investors noticed that new discover in science (electricity, penicillin, nuclear power) could turn a profit, and decided to fund public education especially in areas of math and science. However, they funded the schools and universities with the full intention of making scientist who would work for the interest of large cooperations. This why there were many “scientific studies” in the early 1950’s that showed putting lead in every day products, such as makeup, was absolutely harmless. Now with the invention of synthetic materials, such as plastics and synthetic drugs, companies push scientists to release poorly done studies that state there is “no evidence” of the harm of these products. Of course there is “no evidence”, NO ONE IS FUNDING THE RESEARCH TO CHECK IF IT IS SAFE TO USE OR NOT! Scientists have their hands tied, and they know it, and the large companies know this.

Just like corporations are willing to shovel false science into the waiting mouths of consumers, plenty of people - particularly on the internet, but also in so-called 'alternative therapy' industries are willing to do the same to validate their own beliefs and make money for themselves.

Caffeine is a great example of a compound that has slight variations depending on the source it is extracted from. The primary impact though is always the same, and that goes for these ADHD drugs. Are you another PR troll for the pharmaceutical companies? Because I'm seeing a lot of these comments that are suspiciously the same.

I totally agree with the op. Equivocating meth and other amphetamines like adderall in the video was a silly and intellectually lazy mistake and it definitely takes away from author's credibility.
As to your point, meth itself is racemic with an inactive isomer, so a chemically identical molecule just differing in stereo configuration has such a drastic change in effect. There are a plenty of compounds that are chemically similar but for example are halogenated or methylated at different positions (exactly the case with adderall and meth) and vary in effects as well. Sometimes effects are similar, sometimes they are not - it's figured out through science, but to claim that they always are as a rule is absolutely bizarre to me.

My partner who I have been with for 17 years was put on such terrible drugs as a kid, it made his life hell. He had adult ADHD as well when I met him and hardly suffers with any symptoms now, because he worked on healing his gut health. I studied a science degree specialising in nutritional biochemistry. Diet, nutrition and lifestyle changes are what doctors should be prescribing not dangerous drugs which act only as a bandaid solution! I'm from Germany and I'm currently in my last year of school. I learned about the downside of c-section in an optional biology course and that to give birth upright is best in biology classes. In 11th and 12th grade we have much friendlier relationships with our teachers who allow us to go to the bathroom or to get some coffee in the canteen quite freely. My brother is learning about fat & sugar in 10th grade and just did an "less than 5g sugar in everything I eat and no added sugar" week. College doesn't cost any money (or sometimes just a little sum), textbooks are by far less pricy, and we were well prepared for soon deciding what to do after school (personality tests, several informative evenings, visiting the nearest college, optional talks).

There is obviously more but just these 4 would have a major impact on society as a whole.

"When someone tells you something, ANYTHING, ask yourself...
can he get something from lying to you? Be it money or anything else, doesn't matter.
If the answer is yes, he is lying to you. Every time."
Almost 20 years later and it still stands true.

Accessibility and attractiveness of new information is the engine that drives the future.

To change an opinion is extremely difficult since were all prideful and comfortable with what is normal. Probably keep the opinions to yourself, unless they see change in you as actual proof, and even then wait till they ask for advice.
