- Deadpool & Wolverine is a 2024 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Deadpool and Wolverine, produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay he wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford, and Matthew Macfadyen in supporting roles. In the film, Deadpool is pulled from his quiet life by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and he partners with a reluctant Wolverine on a journey to save his universe.

I hope creators really start getting all the credit they deserve. They help mold the characters we all love today.

He still got credited, unlike many others throughout the years.
He may have helped come up with the initial concept of the character, but it’s really Chris Claremont that really fleshed Wolverine out over the course of years and made him into the definitive character everyone knows and loves.
Roy Thomas didn't create wolverine it was len wein and John romita Sr roy Thomas was editor at the time and chris Claremont turned him into what he is today.
The coward waited until everyone else involved was dead to claim credit so that no one could could push back
The co-creators of Wolverine were Len Wein and John Romita Sr, Thomas may have contributed to the character later on but he didn't create him.

Roy Thomas (an editor not an artist or writer) was awarded credit after all the other creators (who could argue against his supposed claim) died. A lot of editors take issue with his creator claims.
Herb Trimpe in a 2012 interview stated that it was Roy who created not only the name but that' the character would be a short bad tempered Canadian who had metal claws that came out his fists. John Romita,Jr. designed the costume and Len Wein wrote the script.
@williamjackson6705 editors never get creator credit for characters. Many editors have contributed like this to characters over the years. It's part of the job but they are never given creator status. Thomas is taking money for the real creators family.
@@gqd1975 In a Forbes article Roy says he's getting no money from this, just the credit. Stan Lee received creator credit I believe even though he did not often deserve it. Roy didn't just contribute he came up with the idea or Len would have had nothing to write about.
This is what happens when you sign for work for hire agreements. Companies can take advantage of people who create under them especially if theres money and other people involved

Wes, over at Thinking Critical, has a great video about this. Roy Thomas is in his 80s and maybe demented, so I'll cut him a break for that, but his behavior on this matter is petty and he's given his own reputation and legacy a huge blow by copping this attitude.

I think Wolverine is one of those characters who were originally written to be around 6 ft but to inspire and motivate people they made him 5'3 ft. Throwing an icon for the people, Wolverine really is for the short kings 💪🫶
You are totally wrong about The Beatles. Everyone I know credits John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison for creating the group. Don't speak until you know what your talking about.
Creators need to be featured in movies like Stan Lee, this overdue also many writers and artists, should be compensated financially because many people have no idea, of publishing extremely casual claiming to be a fan look how long it took for Bill Finger to be acknowledged in for Batman, Bill Bixby needs more appreciation like Priest run of the Black Panther.

Ignoring Roy (cause you can), although I would say Paul is my favourite Beatle, even I list them John, Paul, George and Ringo. Everyone does it just slips off the tongue that way.
Well of course that's how the guy who created Blade was there's always going to be the creators who aren't happy oh well I mean it's either they want a cut of the movie, credit or their character to be represented a certain way or whatever the reason either way this movie was the BEST MCU MOVIE IN A LONG TIME
While I do think the creators should get credit, when you make a Marvel comic, you know what you're in for and that you don't own any rights and don't have to be credited. Is it right, no its not, but it's something everyone goes into knowing that fact. So just be glad that they get credit at all, cause it would have been easy for them not to, agian it's not right, but that's the way it is.
At least hes not Alan Dean Foster.
