Hi, this is a very usefull tutorial. I have a problem with background color, even though i set it on white, keeps going back to black. Any clue why this is happening?
Hi, thanks for your question. There could be a number of reasons but first check that you have the Dome Light set to be ‘Invisible’. If you have your Background colour set to White try increasing the multiplier to make the background brighter. Does this help?
Hi, thanks for this tutorial. I have a problem with the shadow catcher when applied on the infinite plane and using back to beauty. If I render the images with CUDA or RTX the infinite plane with the shadow catcher will result black but if I use CPU render I don't have any issues. Do you know if the problem is related to the GPU used or maybe I have to tweak other settings ? I can see from the tutorial that you are rendering using the CPU. RTX 3090 GPU used.
Hi, we can confirm that testing here shows the same problem. The behaviour is different with CPU and GPU. If you use either a legacy ‘Matte Shadow Receiver’ or the new ‘Shadow Catcher’ from the Cosmos Browser then only the CPU calculation is correct. We’ll get in touch with Chaos.
Very good explained and only the important information. Thank you
God bless you! you just solve my issue with a black background.
Hi, my problem is that in the first menu render, I don't have Vray render that appears...?

@@SimplyRhino3D Thanks for the quick response. Hope Chaos can fix it.
They won't fix...it's 2024 and no dice.
The dome overrides the environment in Vray 6...
