The dialogue was spot on. A few little variations. I’ve seen the original episode almost one hundred times. What I need is a real life. OK. I’m a Twilight Zone junkie.
Ending dialogue that could have worked: What we want, and what we need are two very different things, Mr. Renard thought that he needed a ticket to the easy life, but he learned that he needed to think about how his greed of want would impact others. So if you see an old lady selling shoelaces and matches, asking what you need, remember to separate your need form your greed, or you may learn what Mr. Renard has, in the Twilight Zone. My idea for an outro aside, that was a great project. I enjoyed it.
Excellent modern update by an actors studio cast. The classics, like the scripts for The Twilight Zone, which were written by the great and tragic Rod Serling (he died way before his time) cannot be equaled by the terrible writing skills today which are the basis of so many horrible modern TV shows and movies. Miss you Rod! You will always be loved by your fans! StocktonRob
I love Rod's intros and his final thoughts at the end of the episodes. There will never ever be another Rod Serling or Richard Matheson or Charles Beaumont These episodes should be shown in every English class in America
I still have a partial can of the dry-cleaning solution used in this episode. The stuff works! I also have a still-functional 45 yr old paper flexi straw, though i do not use it😅 But yeah, paper straws will work if done correctly. Also, Liquid Gold..
I just watched this episode two nights ago and this video is in my suggested feed. They should do a twilight zone about smart phones that spy on people
I've what twilight zone since I was a child it created before my time so it was in reruns when I was a child. This episode was one of my top 5, this actually my favorite it left a lasting impression on me. Well done Rod, the older actor was phenomenal. The tough guy I believe has appeared on several twilight zones as a gangster, gambler is great as your typical hard guy of the 50s and 60s.
Thats what i was thinking. Style, direction color grade seemed Twilight Zone. But audio in a bucket and the greenscreen at the end really showed otherwise.
Brilliant! Well done, All! (Standing ovation! Whistles! Cheers! Shouts of 'Bravo! Bravo!') Rod Serling would gave been so proud. I know I am. 😊 👍 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thanx so very much for sharing! (edit to say . . .) I look forward to your next presentation! Happily subscribed!
I remember the original...starred the late Steve Cockrane, he was the bad boy...this "old man" is a good replay! Nice to see seniors playing parts...ahh, slippery shoes...what SHE needed!!

Just seeing your comment after 2 years. Hope all is well with you and yours.❤
Reality is over rated. Stick with the Twighlight Zone.
I'm becoming one too. I thought I watched all the Twilight zones growing up with my mom, I'm finding seasons I missed!
It’s a redo of an actual Twightlight Zone episode.
Twilight Zone was an excellent choice for an actor's workshop, truly CLASSIC and you guys did a great job!
...always great to see people getting inspired...in the Twilight Zone. Well done.
I love watching these. Great work from the cast.
Thank you very much!
I love this episode of TWILIGHT ZONE

I had Rod as a professor at Ithaca College in spring 1973. That became the high point of my college education.
heart attack at 50. Classic!
This is good! I’m surprised. I remember the original as a child.
Very well done! Excellent remake. Thanks for creating and posting it.
I still have a partial can of the dry-cleaning solution used in this episode.

Best thing in black and white I can watch

Pretty cool reenactment of the Twilight Zone Version. I'm sure you all had fun at the workshop. Keep up the good work.

Wow! Didn't know this was independent
Really cool. What have been nice to see you play with the ending. Great work!
Done really well!!👍👍
This was good. The only problem was in the original the old salesman didn't seem to take any pleasure in the villians death.
cat luva I like this way better. Of course she would take pleasure in this. The guy was so annoying 😉
He keeps calling her old lady, the old man lol
RiGht!! They were ALLLL.old!!!😂
This was very very well done .
Very good!
That was awful, but... I still watched it, because it was also enjoyable. Peace. 3:)
Pretty good.

Good job!!!
He keeps calling her old when he's old too!
Good episode! I've seen a more recent version of the same episode too. Both are good.
I remember the original...starred the late Steve Cockrane, he was the bad boy...this "old man" is a good replay! Nice to see seniors playing parts...ahh, slippery shoes...what SHE needed!!
At least they kept the part about the comb in this version
Love this!
I love you
Cool shows
Just noticed the sign above the bar- " NO working during drinking hours" !😂😅
Awesome true entertainment
fantastic Remake of a classic T.Z episode!
Kudos to everyone in and behind he scenes 😀 👍
Liked and Subbed!

This guy obviously doesn't realize how much a pair of steel shears costs!😆
That was cool.
I was gonna say me too also! LOL.
I understand lefty
Rather good.Well done to all involved.
10:38 LOL. E-cigarettes. If only Rod Serling had those, he might have been alive today.
Nice catch, and a good point.
Haha seriously, a bald man definitely does not need a comb.
What do you need?
academy award
What I need is an 🎱.
Thought a guy played the role of the lady telling what you need
Had to think back to when l was11or12 it's a good remake.
Who made these????
edit: Just saw the end credits - thank you for making this! Great job, seriously! My hat is off to you all!
Go ahead, win a lot at the track. Soon the IRS will be calling.
The national debt is not a chip anymore!
😂😂 oh my goodness
Better than the original, especially the peddler!
A comb for a man without hair.LOL.😁
This reminds me a bit of Needful Things.. Stephen King..
(began video, immediately detect modern-shot footage) Oh god, this is going to be SHI-- (watch into the show) this isn't bad! In fact, pretty good.
agree it looked like a stage performance in front of a green screen.......till I read the description........Workshop........still wonderful to watch!
Carrie Fisher's final film....
He is such a “whine-OH!”
The jerk kept calling her "old" lady was rather iron - or he was in serious denial.
bom
Not bad at all
Which season is this from? Not one of the first five. Guess it's a remake from one of these episodes. Then it was about shoes.
An Alfred Hitchcock flick had the same three actors.
Is this old or newer? I swear it's today's actors.. I just started watching tho
A lotof acters start out in the twilight zone a lot
You can see the original *Twilight Zone - What You Need* at, Pluto TV.
Umm wouldn't just taking off the scarf have been easier???
A comb for a bald guy ..😅
top class acting great effects " sarcastic bastard" sorry lol.
😤 whack
