    I've always been a lover of the original Twilight Zone with Rod Serling. There is a quality, a je ne sais qua which resonates in the shadows of the black and white passion plays of the 1960's TV dramas.
    In saying that when i heard that they'd be making new Twilight Zones with the intro music being played by Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead i had to check it out. Ive gotta say i was impressed.
    Thanks for sharing some of these gems.

      True, but as much as I love it, I did find a huge plot hole. He says the only character that never changes is the judge's wife, i.e. his sister. But if the judge is a woman, she couldn't have been married to another woman named Carrol

    Even the matrix came out of the twilight zone 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    • @williamdixon-gk2sk
      @williamdixon-gk2sk 5 місяців тому +2

      'The Matrix' is inspired heavily by the works of Harlan Ellison & Phillip K. Dick. Some of their stories have also been adapted into T.Z. episodes, having been written before T.Z. existed. Also, Simulacra and Simulation by baudrillard. But, for a generation that is functionally Illiterate you could say 'the Matrix came from twilight zone'

    • @hypnos9336
      @hypnos9336 4 місяці тому

      @@williamdixon-gk2sk not sure about what you said, but I know it was inspired by science fiction writer William Gibson's short story "Johnny Mnemonic," which served as inspiration for the matrix (both films starred Keanu Reeves btw). also, why the hell are you insulting an entire generation? you clearly haven't done all your research, so maybe chill out a little bit.

    • @williamdixon-gk2sk
      @williamdixon-gk2sk 4 місяці тому

      @hypnos9336 dude, I'm not trying to argue here, but Baudrillard's "Simulacra and Simulation" may not be the sole inspiration, but it was the key Inspiration for the film (the Wachowskis insisted all the actors involved read it) and Phillip K. Dick invented and popularized the entire modern simulation theory (in the '70's). I've read Gibsons 'Johnny Mnemonic' and i've seen the film. The parallels are undeniable, sure. However, you can't convince me that any group of people that statistically read an average of 4 books a year are not functionally illiterate.

    Fantastic group of shows! The first one was marvelous - since half of all women experience some type of violence by grown boys (not a man in the bunch) in therir lifetime...it's a shame they aren't all cared for by a protector or guardian angel...we bury too many. Helen Mirren is drop-dead gorgeous - the women going after the abusive husband was a fun plot twist (I wish it had been longer. All little kids should get invitations to THAT Zoo. Our judges won't put abusive males where they can't torture others, they just let them out to do worse (Polly Klaas) - so it would be nice if one force would protect our women and children like this. Not to harm like they do, but to keep us safe. Thank you, I love your channel.

    I love Peter coyote as an actor and a narrator. However, I just kept comparing his performance in shadow play to Dennis Weaver's in the original. And it's not even close. Weaver just blew it out of the water like he was born to play that role. No joke. There was nothing that coyote could do that would ever come close to that performance. So I really had a tainted view of the episode unfortunately

Subject to be hanged, once again refused right to last words, preventing temporal Time Delay in order to facilitate The D.A.'s call to The Governor.
