  • Drop foot can be a significant problem for people with neurological conditions such as MS or Parkinson's disease. It can also be a problem for people with back pain or following poor ankle rehabilitation. In this video we go through some ideas for a home program or even a Pilates program for drop foot.

If you don’t have markalu can you get similar results on a Bosu?

different impact but can do it that way. Bosu is larger and the standing stable bit is flat. The Markalu timber base is domed so it helps activate the footarch. The smaller domes fit under one foot so it is more responsive to each foot, so you will get different proprioceptive feedback on each side. The advantage of the Makarlu is its size; variability in density ( changing out the domes allows you to grade the challenge) so that you have one product that offers multiple variations. The Makarlu is probably more versatile, there are a number of youtube videos for it using the makarlu for peripheral neruopathy, shoudler, sinus, back, neck and jaw hands and lower back options as well

I have taken some of these videos from courses ( they are the ones that look very professional in sound and film, and they come from our online courses. These courses can be purchased from www.boydorganicseducation.com. You can purchase the small product called Makarlu from www.makarlu.com
