No to dating apps. You’re in a new place. Embrace it. Have fun. Meet people out and about. Moving was a part of your life journey… & finding love in a new place will be great. But let it be authentic & unexpected. Dating apps come with a lot of drama, & from my experience using them the people on them can be a bit…. Toxic to say the least lol.
How to Meet people arround if Ure in a new place? Give me some tips :)
I would avoid the dating apps, it's so easy to be scammed on those. I found that when I wasn't actively looking for anyone, the right person came to me when I was least expecting it.
I have multiple friends that have met their husbands/ bf on dating apps. You need to be smart about it. Video chat before meeting, meet in a public space, let friends know where you are/ will be. I know everyone says when you stop looking it will happen or when you least expect it sort of thing, however I genuinely feel if you want to be in a relationship why not actively take steps to be in one? Why not take up hobbies go to classes, possibly meeting someone with similar hobbies? I feel like when people say it will just happen, and don’t actively try to be in a relationship, that’s just like needing a job and not applying for one hoping it shows up but that’s just me! Everyone is different that’s my view point on it!
I met my husband on Tinder 😜…but people have also found creepy stalkers 😟 soooo just be safe! You know how it is lol you listen to Crime Junkie

As for the apps, I’ve heard horror stories. I was on tinder for a couple of weeks and hated it. Ended up with a creeper who I had to block multiple times. Most people on there were just looking for an immediate hook up - no judgement as long all parties are consenting, just wasn’t what I was looking for. I ended up meeting my partner at the library of all places lol. I think if you get on the apps it should be because you want to, not because people convinced you, ya know?

I’m so happy for your change! I used to live about 45 mins away because my husband was stationed at Camp Lejeune (probably why you’ve met so many people from out of state😂) that town had NOTHING so I was in Wilmington all the time lol. I love anything by the water in downtown (loved front street brewery) my husband was deployed often so even though I didn’t “live alone” I basically did. I spent a lot of time alone in Wilmington so it has a special place in my heart.

I met my husband on tinder when I lived in Wilmington during college! He was a marine stationed near there. That’s mostly what you’ll find on there in that area, military and college boys. Watching your videos has been so nostalgic for me! I lived there for 5 years, worked in Mayfair. You’ll love it, especially in the warmer months!

can you make a video on the research you did to make your move & choose what city etc.
I literally just looked at a map and was like "hmm.. that city looks like a good location, right by the beach," and then I did a google and youtube search to see videos of the area, find out the average weather throughout the year, the demographics, just basic info like that. I think I also watched a few videos sharing pros and cons of living here, and then I searched for apartments to get an idea of how much the average rent is. Only you know what you're looking for in an area, so make a list of what you want, and then type in your questions on google. You can also start by doing a search for "best places to live in X state." I also suggest going in person to feel it out before committing to the move!

I would say no to dating apps while you're still getting used to living on your own and getting to know the place. Dating apps sometimes bring nothing to bad news lol
Ok but I want to live on my own just to cook and eat what I want 🤣 my husband eats like a child & I love exploring new cuisines. There is no in between so I’m usually making 2 meals when we eat together 😩
I was looking for a serious relationship on tinder. I found a guy looking for the same thing. We've been together over 3 years now. I think there's a lot of bad luck on those apps and I've also gone on a lot of crap dates and dated crap people. But i just kept believing I'd find someone and i did!
