- The dreaded ABA inoperative, cruise control inoperative, radar sensor dirty or blocked error explained and FIXED. There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding these errors with the Mercedes Sprinter and we wanted to explain what these errors mean, how the system works and how to fix them.

Even if the sensor is properly aligned, it seems like the software has a problem. If I drive in really remote areas without encountering any other traffic, while using cruise control, the warning seems to come on after 60 min. Any kind of software fix for that?

Is it possible to adjust the rear sensors too? I have a 2021 VS30 where I’ve added a Van Compass tug step, Owl rear tire carrier / ladder, and Monster Box. When backing up, the warning beep lights up despite no obstructions being behind the van (suggesting that the tug step or other mod is what is being flagged). The other impact is that the you sometimes have to floor the sprinter in reverse for a prolonged period of time to get it to move.
Hi there, since we installed the Backwoods bumpers on our vans we were never able to calibrate it. We moved up and down inside the casing but nothing. Where are you located? We travel the 48 states maybe we can stop by and get some help. Thanks
Great info, is the diagnostic SW and connection HW available, we’re in Australia and we don’t have the number of suppliers like yourself.
