Most awesome fight in the game so far to me, as I am actually making my way through the game. Getting him to Phase 2 was the hard part for me. And somehow, managing that was also the time I beat him. In the old times, monks would actually turn a corpse into candy in a long long fermenting process in a big jar. Prior to death an individual had to basically live off of honey for like 2-6 months. It prepares the body. Then they place the entire corpse in a honey tub/jar. After a few years the body literally becomes honey and bones. They cut up the honey into squares and sold it to nobles as a curative. The creepy thing? IT ACTUALLY WORKS AS A CURE TO MANY COLDS/DISEASES.
The meteor crash was epic. The first time he did that I was like “did I … win? Wait the health bar is still there. What is that? Why is a meteor come if at me?!?!?!?!”

I watched him rain down on the rest of the gang from the hillside, and I was like "OHHH Nnooooo" Fortunately there were two summons ready for me to pick up right at the top of the hill before Radahn turned to charge me.
I didn't survive that fight though. Nor the next. Nor the next. Nor the next one. Or the one after. Or the one after that. It took me quite a few tries.

@@MamaTrixxieAsmr The fact that Radahn's companionship, as well as his duty to hold up the stars, still remains after he's lost everything else... man, it makes me wish we could see Radahn in his prime. I can't help but imagine that he'd be the kind of demigod to take in Tarnished warriors as his own soldiers, if they can prove to be loyal.
The fact that Radahn went out of his way to learn gravity magic, so that Leonard (the name of his noble trusty best friend and steed) can bear his weight, is too wholesome. You'll notice Radahn doesn't have any feet! It's why Leonard must carry him.
I always thought that was just him working his gravity magic. Though I never questioned it. "Eh. It's Radahn. What do I expect?" For him to have fucking feet that's what.
Actually, Leonard does not need to carry him. If you watch closely, he always has the gravitation magic field beneath him at all times, indicating that at no point is he actually riding the horse. He's literally just floating around on top of him, but he loves the horse so much that even pretending to ride the horse is still important enough to him that he remembers to do it even when he's so afflicted by the scarlet rot. Also, he will very intentionally bury Leonard beneath the sand for several of his more berserker-like combos in order to protect him from the onslaught.
It's actually known that Radahn loved his horse more than his sibling, enough so to preform gravitational incantations on himself so that he didnt weigh his horse down, that's why he learned to prefore sorcery and incantations.
Radahn. He loves his horse so much, he studied how to defy gravity with magic. Just to keep riding his beloved steed despite the comedic size-difference.
This was amazing! The sandwich, Radahn "rowing" himself with his swords because undoubtedly at that size he could outrun the horse, the kick off of the moon like a swimmer. It was all perfect!
I love how he shows he makes the “sandwich” with his enemies and then launches out of the teleporter to be met by the “avalanche” of arrows that truly happens. This is so funny because when he goes on his outer space journey and comes back in a beam of light it’s over he just picks them off 1 by 1 I love this so much!! Keep this series coming they are great

0:01 Welcome back to Redmane Castle. 0:05 This is Witch hunter Jerren. A character that is starting the Radahn festival... What is Radahn festival? Well... Let's get to the lore first shall we... Radahn was once one of the mightiest Demigods. Son of Radagon and Rennala. Brought into Marika's family after Radagon married Marika once Godfrey was banished. Known far and wide for his wild red hair which he inherited from his father, always proud of his heritage. His greatest inspiration though was Godfrey himself. He adorned his armor with Lion symbols, he wanted to become worthy of Godfrey's legacy. As Radahn himself put it "I was born a champion's cub. Now I am the Lord of the Battlefield's lion.". Radahn had great respect for Godfrey even after he was banished and this respect carried over into his honor. He was by far one of the most honorable and noble demigods. Even going as far as to learning magic of gravity in order to keep on riding on his beloved steed Leonard which he later used to conquer the stars and halt their movement from hurting Lands Between. A kind of love that carries over into every action he does even in this wild state he ended up in as he always makes sure to keep Leonard safe from several mightier attacks by pushing him under the sands of the dune he now walks on eternally and keeping the stars at bay even in his terrible state. But what got him to that state? Well... it was his last great fight against the "undefeated" swordswoman, Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Daughter of Marika and Radagon and a twin to Miquella. To her we will get later, but for now all you need to know is that their final fight resulted in Radagn becoming like he is now because of Malenia's scarlet Rot which she released from her body, consuming Radahn and Caelid as a whole. Although their animosity wasn't always the case. There are few hints throughout the game about possible alliance both shared before that, meant to attack Leyndell alongside Godefroy the Grafted to whom we may also get into later. But something happened from within, "bloody conspiracy"... Miquella was gone and Malenia may have taken it as a sign of betrayal from Radahn which most likely resulted in this terrible fight that ended the mighty Radahn. Radahn festival is meant to be a burial of Radahn himself. An act of mercy from warriors from all around Lands Between to end the suffering of one of the most noble beings that ever existed in Lands Between. Radahn Festival created by Jerren, Radahn's friend with whom he shared a special bond and an oath of honorable death. This is the story of Radahn and his festival. (with some speculation on my part) 0:55 This arena is amazing. It's just a gigantic desert with so many arrows and dead bodies. Showing just how grand this fight is. But teleporting to it every time is kind of a pain. 1:02 Radahn himself starts of VERY far away. 1:05 Which doesn't stop his absolutely ridiculous arrows. 1:11 Did I mention how annoying how annoying this teleport system is? Well it is. 1:17 Also he has Arrow Rain attack of Aldritch from DS3 because "Why not?". 1:21 And this festival is basically a Raid boss, you summon many NPCs from across Lands Between. Like Best Friend Blaidd, Great Goat Tragoth, Mighty Jar Alexander or Bestest Friend Patches. 1:26 Who does exactly what you think he will do 1:42 Yeah, his attack animation on Leonard are silly and ridiculous. 1:45 But they hit REALLY hard (even after patches that nerfed him) 1:50 Don't try to run. It wont do you any good. It's safer actually to get close to him on foot. 1:55 And his gravity magic comes into play as well. It can be a pain. 1:58 Once you get him to half health I believe he will jump in the air, disappearing for a moment. 2:05 Which is actually one LONG attack. One advice. Once you see the sky change... RUN! 2:10 When you wish upon a staaaaar~ 2:12 ...Scourge... 2:14 And he gets a buff from that... and a few flying rocks around him 2:19 Don't expect most of those NPCs to be TOO MUCH of help. If you ask me. Just go for the Rotten Dragon, get his breath and use it on Radahn... Cruel end I know, but it's viable. 2:21 Although Best Friend Blaidd IS in fact the best one there and he is a GREAT help. 2:27 Tragoth is not bad either... but he does seem to like to challenge his inner Mario. 2:29 Not realizing he is Luigi.
To be more accurate, Radahn was the strongest demigod during the Shattering as some item descriptions & dialogues suggest, also, i don't think malenia fought General Radahn thinking he did anything to him, like any other demigod, she fought for the Great Runes, to make Miquella Elden Lord i believe.
@@Lepoetism There is actually a sword that talks about "Alliance of Monarchs" and how it was destroyed by "bloody conspiracy" from within and it is rather easy to assume that this alliance may have been between Radahn and Malenia because we do know Radahn DID try to take on Leyndell and got thrown out by a certain Omen (and yes, it was Radahn in the intro and this is the reason why I said ONE of the strongest) and Malenia has that Castle dedicated to her there with her knights there as well. It would make sense then why a small lord like Godefroy was so ready to attack Leyndell, he had those two at his back as well. That is until... Bloody Conspiracy came into play, and blood is a signature thing of one certain Omen as well and the biggest thing he did was kidnapping Miquella and his lair is under Caelid which would make Malenia assume it was Radahn and so would break their alliance leaving Godefroy to go alone at Leyndell and being beaten. Of course this is my speculation, but I think it nicely fills in all the blanks here.
Your incite into the Lore surrounding General Radahn, and the subsequent explanations of what transpired during the video (including time stamps) just to narrate each point; was superbly executed. You my friend, win the Internet
@@AzraelSoulHunter The Opening is not enough to say that Radahn was beaten by Morgott, an important event like a fight between the Grace-given King and the Starscourge is supposed to be mentioned somewhere or at least hinted, no swordstatue, no item description, no dialogue, no signs, no nothing. I'm not ignoring the Opening, i will talk about it now, the Opening only shows an image of either Margit or Morgott attacking someone similar to Radahn, Radahn, for some reason, looks as big as Morgott, if not even smaller, that was probably a younger Radahn trying to conquer Leyndell but failed, if that's the truth, what Morgott did is not an achievement, and doesn't make him stronger. Ok let's assume a "Radahn vs Morgott" battle is 100% confirmed, and both were in their prime, do you think Radahn told Morgott to fight him 1vs1? The demigods fought with armies, Morgott has the strongest army in the game, also Morgott had to just defend Leyndell, he had huge walls with giant Ballistas, Night's Cavalries, and many things. How can you be sure that Morgott won against Radahn cuz he was stronger instead of having a stronger army?
@@Lepoetism I'm not saying Morgott was stronger. It's just that at that time Morgott managed to throw him out and we do have some confirmation that Radahn was there because Godrick ran away from Leyndell disguised as a woman when Radahn attacked Leyndell. And it is Radahn because there is literally no other character that looks like the character in the intro and he has those gloves which he specifically had made to be symbol of his respect for Godfrey and Serosh. At that point Morgott won because if he didn't he wouldn't have his own great rune. So at the very least he managed to survive and make Radahn leave Leyndell. So yes, it could have been a stalemate, but it does also prove that while Radahn was one of the strongest, this is not clear if he was THE strongest or not, it's up in the air. As for the size, this could the interpretation of the artist who made that art, after all I believe the serpent who ate Rykard must have been a bit bigger as well and he is presented as a rather small thing in the intro.
Without that horse, there would be no game. His name is Leonard, radahn loved him so much he learned gravity magic to help the horse carry his weight. After he learned gravity magic he froze the stars. Which made Ranni do what she did, which set up the whole game. Tierzoo was right, horses are OP
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub woody is talking about what happened before the game started which led to events in the intro and caused the lands between to become the hostile place it is when we play the game
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub Nothing to do with the fight. The freezing of the stars is one of the catalysts for Ranni doing what she did, which is THE catalyst for Elden Ring being shattered.

Yes! Patches taking off was almost perfect. Only thing that could've made it better would have been him flipping off everyone present while taking off.
Malenia is going to be (actually) easy: Battle preparation will be 1- getting a confy chair, 2- preparing popcorn, and 3- summoning Let Me Solo Her. Then watching Malenia being chased around, screaming in fear while Black screens of "SHE DIED" pop up again and again.
Before I started really playing Elden Ring, I caught mini clips of some of the bosses, and the three I feared the most was Radahn, Placidusax, and Malenia. Especially Placi with his laser beams. Cant wait for him and Godskin Duo.
Long story short(too late): Large guy on small horse is one of the big bosses you can defeat to beat the game. The fight is this big celebration since his people love him so much they hate seeing him in the Rot corrupted state he's in so they want him to die like a warrior in glorious battle. The fight itself is in this huge arena and he always starts by sniping you with arrows. Instead of having to fight him by your lonesome, you can summon all the npcs that are gathered there in this awesome 8v1 fight that still favors him. Patches there, long time coward that he is, will literally run away from the fight after being summoned and if he takes dmg he nopes out and unsummons himself, thus the boat. Any of them fall and you can run around and summon them again, except for Patches. Halfway through the fight he launches a space program(himself) then comes plummeting back to earth as a giant flaming meteor on top of your head. Fight continues from there until one of you are dead. This being Fromsoft, you will have a much higher number then he will.
I play this game and came across nearly every scene. You and your team are spot on merging the gameplay and what it feels behind the controller. Can only give 1 thumb up but you guys earn it.
This is the best summary of the Radhan fight. Yes it's the fight that I struggled most at mid game. I believe I was under leved. Got there at level 70 ish.
You know the boss fight will gonna be cool asf when you see him as you enter sitting afar sniping you with his spears, wieldin two giant ass swords, controls gravity, covers his two giant ass swords with shards of rocks so that he can beat you more with it, hurl rocks at breakneck speed, and can turn himself into a meteor upon aknowledging you as an enemy while riding a *tiny* horse for his size at him being braindead. Yeah, that's Radahn for ya, the chad of the game where he rode his horse leonard and learned gravity magic so that he can continously ride him despite his size and mastering said magic, the one who holds the stars even while his mind is fully gone eaten by the rot.
Radahn had everything going for him. The buildup, the arena, music, a whole squad of allies rushing him. But the fight is not fun. Can't read the moves due to size and damage is insane. Gotta love all those one hit kill moves that bring the spectacle to a screeching halt.

What do I expect?"
For him to have fucking feet that's what.
Oh my. I really never realized that he has no feet and is riding. I tried him 5 or 6 times, before I defeated him. Shame on me.
OMG HIS NAME LEONARD
Radahn has no feet because the have been worn off from the sand, he's been wondering that arena for so long he's feet have been sanded off.

(with some speculation on my part)
0:55 This arena is amazing.
1:26 Who does exactly what you think he will do
1:42 Yeah, his attack animation on Leonard are silly and ridiculous.
1:45 But they hit REALLY hard (even after patches that nerfed him)
1:50 Don't try to run.
RUN!
2:10 When you wish upon a staaaaar~
2:12 ...Scourge...
2:14 And he gets a buff from that... and a few flying rocks around him
2:19 Don't expect most of those NPCs to be TOO MUCH of help.
You can beat the game without ever meeting her or doing the quest tho
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub woody is talking about what happened before the game started which led to events in the intro and caused the lands between to become the hostile place it is when we play the game
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub Nothing to do with the fight. The freezing of the stars is one of the catalysts for Ranni doing what she did, which is THE catalyst for Elden Ring being shattered.

Long story short(too late):
Large guy on small horse is one of the big bosses you can defeat to beat the game.
