Yeah the only enemy that gave me camera problems honestly, and there are too many of them too. Not sure why the devs thought it was a good idea to reuse THAT particular enemy so many times.
It's the little things like him asking him for space to jump the platform and the shake of the hand to get out of his way as he runs towards the camera that make Carbot's stuff so goddamn excellent. lol

This reminds me of Mario 64. I always loved how the camera you see through was held by a lakitu the whole time. And whenever you see a reflective surface, you can see the lakitu holding the camera behind you.
Coming into Bloodborne the first time and fighting cleric beast with lock on on that small bridge... I was furious. Not like that boss is hard, but with all the pillars etc. the camera makes it hard.
@@HiImBQ I don’t think I ever had an issue with the camera in BB. In ER I think I only had issues with the Black blade guy with all those pillars and probably some of the oversized bosses like the one dungeon that let’s you by pass elevator to the golden city. Oh yea also those oversized worms too.
dragon is fine in ER as you can switch to ankle. But they forgot to implement that for some giant enemy and that's... well I can't even see my own character
not sure bout "any". Batman Arkham series allways had good camera. And its not really camera problem, but outdated targeting system of souls games. Its really bad. It should be nontarget long ago. The game would be 100 easier if I could choose a direction for my sword swings with a mouse and not use that lame ass target lock...but you know...cosoles and their retarded gamepads...
I find that FromSoftware is the hardest of all the 3P. I never knew how much trouble I could get in with a camera until I had to fight the Cleric Beast from Bloodborne.
I think that he wasn't waving him to get out of the way, but to turn around so the player could see where he's going. There are a bunch of older games which suddenly locked the camera in front of you in a chase scene to make it look cinematic, but it was always death guarantee since you couldn't see chasms and obstacles in front of you. Nice view of the boulder/towering boss/lava/swarm of flesh eating bugs rolling behind you though. Perfect clip.

Camera is not just the worst boss in ER. He's unstoppable in Souls games since Demon's Souls, along side Gravity. Actually, Gravity is somewhat of an optional boss in Sekiro, but Camera is still unbeatable in that game.
At one point fighting Demon of Hatred I fell off the cliff, but the timing just happened to be right that I was able to grapple him and pull myself back up. I nearly shit myself with surprise, I was dead for sure. Optional gravity confirmed. And I managed to capture the footage!
Considering the Zip category of speedruns where all you do is load the area of the final boss, then glitch so far away the floor unloads and it falls to its death to roll credits, yeah, Gravity and Camera are still the most powerful things in any FROMsoft game.

The bloodstains are just those bums who make the janitorial work more annoying and tiresome than it already is. The stuff that makes you wanna strangle those people but you know you can't cuz you'll get fired and get a criminal record if you did. Some of those janitors probably DID snap and could be responsible for some of them bloodstains! Why you think Janitors always look like they wanna hurt someone???
The “Camera guy” has a definite spot for our Tarnished to die and do we die a lot!! Lol he views every angle, every stance, poise as we attempt to take down that boss, but wait he is in on it. There is a plot to take us out… so now I know we are not just fighting a boss but a duo-camera man as well. I need that boom mic guy on my team lol I’m hollering this is so funny 😂😂😂😂😂
Those Screams are really funny to hear while he get crushed so many times. I imagined now how this looks like in the recording phase; A sound studio with perfect equipment,.. the Voice-Actor comes in, opens the Scripts and turning it to the correct page,.. then clears his throat, like someone who starts to have an important speech,... and then... starts Screaming! XD

To be honest this been a problem in almost all 3d games. I played zelda breath of the wild recently and camera becomes so wonky in more intense parts of the game.
I'm slowly working on Resident Evil 4 and I'm still getting annoyed at the camera. I keep forgetting that it puts itself back behind Leon any time I let go of the stick. It's honestly not even that happy with me moving it around.
@@skorpikion You have never ran into the edge of a rock, clipped the side of a tree, a cart, a random piece of something on the ground that has a hit box that ends up cutting your dodge/roll short? Nor have you had it when you swing your weapon and it just gently grazes the side of something with a hitbox, preventing your swing? You have not been bum rushed by dogs, or critters? Have you not played the game? My Brother in Christ, these videos highlight it all.

This has got to be the most relatable video of any Souls game. Oh, my gosh. So good. You rolled at the right time? Well, the camera says you rolled into it after the enemy jumped even though you were trying to roll backwards. I cannot tell you how many times I have ended up rolling the opposite way I had just rolled after an initial roll because the enemy moved an inch in one direction leading the camera to jump three feet in the other.
The boom guy with the chewing gum just shoving the player off the edge when he gets tangled up in the cord was straight hilarious! I feel like I get murdered by camera angles almost half the time in this game lol.
There is very little to comment on here besides one thing... Camera SUCKS in From games. It gets especially bad on some bigger enemies and bosses (godspeed to any Tarnished that went to that closed area in that first dungeon you wake up in... I spend on that Tree Crocodile 6 FUCKING HOURS!!!). 0:06 Also this is a Basilisk. An iconic now enemy in the Fromsoft games. Shows up ever since Dark Souls 1 and never fails at giving you cancer... literally. It curses you and the Death Curse in the lore of this game I will explore later once we "hopefully" get to the certain boss tied to it far more. All you need to know is that staying in their clouds too long is a bad idea. 0:20 And yeah... The Death Curse effect is really metal.
I don't know how many times I've watched this already. But I can't stop laughing at this. The subtle movements of the player, cause he's so annoyed, the cameraman, the gum chewing... and the cold hard truth behind it. Amazing!!!
I'll be beyond happy if Carbot goes back and cover Darks Souls or maybe even Demon Souls. A mini season of 6 (plus sekiro) episodes, each episide covering a single Souls game would be grand.
Give them some time to finish the Elden Ring series and they might look into the Souls series. It's possible that Elden Ring introduced the team to From Software games and that they might need 300+ hours to play them all.
Sometimes, it seriously feels like developers intentionally design the camera to work against you in a lot of games. It's as fascinating as it is frustrating.
the camera is a nightmare in this game. Especially on keyboard and mouse. When you target any horde there is a good chance that the camera proceeds to lock onto some random non-threat 10 miles in the other direction while you get owned by the enemies in your face because you moved your mouse 1 planck length.
Way too many people tend to forget about the insane professionalism and efficiency of the cameramen who film all the stuff you see in movies and TV shows, but none ever forget the camera in video game.
It’s so amazing that, you can make the shit camera movement into a short. So sad that you didn’t included the fire giant which has the shittest camera view of all. But I think you want to save it as the next animation. I am still impressed that your team is willing to strech this series to this extend, regardless the hype might died out a bit. Especially we can all see there still have a long way to go in terms of game progress. And I am all for it!
This reminds me of a monty python sketch where the actors are lost in the jungle, so they turn around ask the camera crew for directions. Unfortunately the camera crew does not know the way out of the jungle but they realize that they are still being filmed so there must be another camera crew around somewhere. They find a second crew filming the first crew and THAT crew tells them how to escape.
This is perfect, the number 1 killer for me in EVERY FromSoft game. The amount of times I have died trying to get a good angle with the camera is too embarrassing to even mention.
The Lock-on is lovely as well, when there is a wall nearby, and you want to lock-on the enemy, and the camera just does a 180, away from the enemy. Killed me so many times I just stopped using the lock-on, and now just aim myself. Makes it so much easier.
Now i wont be able to play any game without imagining an entire movie crew behind me.

The hill I will die on is that that "get good" is the *exact same advice* as "draw the rest of the owl."

Not having fall damage unless it's above a certain height is amazing; even falling off cliffs is more difficult in that game.

Way too many people tend to forget about the insane professionalism and efficiency of the cameramen who film all the stuff you see in movies and TV shows, but none ever forget the camera in video game.

This reminds me of a monty python sketch where the actors are lost in the jungle, so they turn around ask the camera crew for directions. Unfortunately the camera crew does not know the way out of the jungle but they realize that they are still being filmed so there must be another camera crew around somewhere. They find a second crew filming the first crew and THAT crew tells them how to escape.
Okay.

This is perfect, the number 1 killer for me in EVERY FromSoft game. The amount of times I have died trying to get a good angle with the camera is too embarrassing to even mention.

The Lock-on is lovely as well, when there is a wall nearby, and you want to lock-on the enemy, and the camera just does a 180, away from the enemy. Killed me so many times I just stopped using the lock-on, and now just aim myself. Makes it so much easier.
This is so true with the Ulcerated Tree Spirit fights. The camera is just bonkers in those.
