Having fallen over in a pub and cut my head down to the skull, can confirm. It was a Saturday night though so an ambulance would have taken ages so since I was within walking distance of the hospital, I went on foot. Nearly stopped for a pint on the way as well...
I once helped one drunk guy who bleckout on a barstool and started to fall down. Only think I maneged to do was put my foot right between his head before he hit the floor. I like to think it made sufficient cushion for him. There was no blood though... He stood up after severe look on my foot and gave me something like sour smile and sat back. Seems like the Scots and us Australians have drinking overconsumption and adventure in common. Imagining a pub full of Scots, Australians, and Irish folk. That sounds like a blast that will never end. There would only be 2 emotions experienced, cheer and violent aggression.
I had to make do with cream soda and gin. I don't like gin but needed to get drunk whole forgetting gin once made me unwell. The situation repeated itself but this time I ended up covered in pink foamy barf!

He is as much Scottish as Frankie Boyle. Danny dilutes his accent to suit his audiences. If he went full blown accent, his Canadian audience would not understand a word.
It's more in bars that have comedians or live bands performing. Because the talent gets most of the money from the gate, the bar makes next to no money off the ticket sales. By having the two drink minimum the bar makes money off the event. It's the same way theaters and sports teams make their money from snack sales.

Huh? I mean, as a comedian, his very vocation involves telling jokes. If he can't think of new jokes, perhaps he should look into a new line of work. It can't be harder than working in a coal mine, construction etc.
Well you don't have to make up new jokes if you don't want to, but don't go half-way. Just changing the nationality makes the joke seem forced or set-up. If he had just kept it as Scotland, I don't think people would care.
Again ,as foreshadowed in my comment on July 17th , 2017, l have ceased coverage on Danny. However l periodically adjust my coverage as necessary based on public outlook, demand and interest. I can only hope this clarifies the situation.
