I chose the chaplet of the Divine Mercy Novena prayer as one of the main prayers when my parents passed and really believe that Jesus himself was present with our mother Mary with St Joseph and St Michael at the time of their passing and firmly believe they are very happy now ❤❤
I’ve always hoped we would be granted an opportunity at the very end of our life to choose Christ! This episode brought me so much hope and joy! Thank you Father Chris. ❤🙏🏽
This Story touched me. My late grand father died of suicide. I pray to God that his grace of mercy of the Heart of Jesus touch to the soul of my Late Grand Father Regidor. This we ask with the intercession of Mama Mary 🙏
Thank you Father Chris for this valuable lesson. I continually pray for those who have passed away because I believe in the immense love and mercy God has for every person.
Hi Father Chris, I met you in Brisbane Australia. I wanted to share with you, I have been reading your book After Suicide. You helped me before online when I watched your video a year ago. But recently Mathew my 30 year old cousin who hung himself almost 20 years ago now has been on my mind. I can’t get passed,my poor Aunt who told me how the Police came to her door and she had to identify him with a photo of Mathew dead in a body bag. So tragic. So sobbing so hard, with tears running down my face, I prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet for Mathew, praying that God would please save his soul. Father Chris, when I finished, I heard Mathew, in his sweet gentle voice he always had. He said, ‘thank you Sabi’. 🙏❤️
Suicides are not just painful for the one who is taking their own life, it is also difficult for the family and friends affected. For over the years we have always been told that those who commit suicide go to hell, this is a great solace that they also have a chance to enjoy heaven in God's grace. May all the souls of those who committed suicide rest in peace and may they attain eternal grace. My prayers to all families who have been impacted by the loss of loved ones through suicide. Thank you Fr. Chris for this moving episode.
Praying for you. I went through a dry spell. Did bad things, repented, and have returned to Jesus. Now I am on fire for Jesus. Pray you come through without the bad stuff

LET US THANK HIM AND SO MANY OTHERS LIKE HIM WHO GAVE THEIR LIFE SO OTHERS COULD LIVE, BE SAFE, BE FREE FROM HARM - AND ENDED UP BEING HARMED THEMSELVES. These men and women who took their own life died from the hidden wounds of war. They carried their pain, anguish and torment with a bravery that few of us possess. PLEASE KNOW THAT ~ ……..22 veterans a day die by suicide in this country. Thank you, Fr. Chris, for this beautiful episode - Is Prayer Timeless? Deeply grateful for sharing the very touching and life-changing stories about two wonderful family members who chose to die, that of your grandmother’s and of Pat Boynton’s son. Your very enlightening and inspiring explanation of turning to God in prayer and believing that our past prayers still valuable at the present moment is so consoling, full of hope and full of His amazing graces. Because Jesus Divine Mercy is infinite, we continue to pray with love and gratitude till the end of time. God bless and prayers for you Fr. Father Chris, this week’s moving episode brought “after suicide” to the next level. You’ve presented your intense and heartbreaking experience in dealing with your grandmother’s death. In last night’s episode, Fran generously brought us through all the steps she and her husband took to regain equilibrium after their grand child’s death and then their son’s suicide. Chris sounds like he was a truly special husband, son and father. It was heart wrenching, but at the same time very enlightening. Your extremely well done interview, gave me and even clearer understanding of what a loved one experiences in this tragedy of sudden and violent loss, and what enormous effort it takes to live again in the aftermath of an unspeakably sad event. Thank you so much Pat for generously sharing what your life was like during that immediate time of your “walk through hell”, and how you get through each day by accepting God’s grace and asking for His Mercy. How gratifying for you that in return for all your hard work of healing, you received the signs from Heaven. As a mental health professional, you could have cavalierly dealt with the loss, but you did what we are taught to do: ASK for God’s mercy, BE merciful, & COMPLETELY TRUST. Thank you Father Chris for the best A B Cs. Pat and Paul, you are in my prayers. How sweet it was to see the archive recording of Father Kosicki’s and Father Seraphim’s further discussion. Father Chris, is it true that when we pray for the departed soul, that we have to mention or use their baptismal name? I'm praying for the soul of my kid's classmate back in high school who's committed suicide while she was in college. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.
Father, I have a question that, as a true and knowledgeable Catholic, you are qualified to answer. I have been thinking about paying / requesting Gregorian masses be said for my husband and I to shorten our time in purgatory. However, the priests / monasteries that are dedicated to these endeavors state that the person MUST be deceased. If what you say is true, that prayers are outside of time, then why would it matter to the congregation? I don’t want to offend anyone, let alone our Lord, by going against this if it is strictly for the dead only. But realistically speaking, I have no one to reach out to them should I / we die to let them know to start the 30 consecutive masses. Just trying to cover my bases here…. Thank you so much!
Hi father Chris. I was wondering if i can redirect my PAST pains and suffering to Jesus to get souls out of purgatory or to console Jesus sacred heart ? [Years ago i didnt know about offering up sufferings to God as i was brought up protestant.] What do you think father ?
Dear Lisa, I am so very sorry about your Mom! And at 9 months pregnant! What a terrible loss……there is always hope at the foot of the Cross. May you know the peace that only Jesus can give. You are in my prayers.❤️🩹🦋⚓️✝️Hail O Cross, my only hope, Pat Boynton
Does this mean we can still save Adolf Hitler, Mao Tse tung, and other people who sin very much through our prayers though they died many years ago Thank you for your answers.. Anyone!
Prayers can't affect God's judgement after the event. They can only help the dead if they reach purgatory. The Church can't say who goes to hell, but Our Lady of fatima said many are lost.
If God knows everything that is going to happen, then he can't be happy or displeased with us as he is. For this reason, I don't see how this thinking is true. Some suggest that God already has us saved or dammed. No, God is willing us to respond to him so as to be saved. I don't pretend to understand prophecy, but I realise God can plan some causes for the future. I can't accept predestination as a general rule, I'm more of the mind of Prof John Polkinghorne, who sees time as a continuem.
@DivineMercy_Official It's a pity you didn't address my first point of God being pleased or disappointed with us. To my way of making any sense of things, God must have restricted himself on any precise foreknowledge, apart from any future plans he wants to introduce.
Jesus said pray the way I pray… the only way prayer is for eternity is if you live in the Divine Will …research it, learn it, live it…it’s dictated to servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta. It’s the only way to prayer it’s Divine Holiness not Human Holiness

I don’t want to offend anyone, let alone our Lord, by going against this if it is strictly for the dead only. But realistically speaking, I have no one to reach out to them should I / we die to let them know to start the 30 consecutive masses. Just trying to cover my bases here….
Thank you so much!
Thank you but when you sign up for Gregorian Masses with us we set it up so that we make sure we are notified of the death and then the masses begin
Hi father Chris. I was wondering if i can redirect my PAST pains and suffering to Jesus to get souls out of purgatory or to console Jesus sacred heart ? [Years ago i didnt know about offering up sufferings to God as i was brought up protestant.] What do you think father ?
While there is no official Church teaching on this we believe you can. God bless and thank you for thinking about it
If prayer is timeless, can we do prayers of First Fridays or First Saturday’s that we missed on the next day?
Yes we try to do them on the actual day but if we are absolutely unable then we do them the next day
My mom committed suicide when i was 23 an 9 months pregnant.
I am so sorry to hear that. God bless you and prayers for her
I am so sorry. May her soul reat in peace and may perpetual Light shine upon her.
Does this mean we can still save Adolf Hitler, Mao Tse tung, and other people who sin very much through our prayers though they died many years ago
Thank you for your answers.. Anyone!
Yes the church does not teach any particular soul is in Hell although the odds of these mentioned here are pretty good. God bless

Thank you but foreknowledge of God and predestination are two different things. God bless
@DivineMercy_Official
It's a pity you didn't address my first point of God being pleased or disappointed with us.
I am currently reading her words.
