Saved is past tense. Washing of regeneration is referring to baptism. Yes, the church teaches that only God can forgive sin. But Jesus Christ gave authority to the church to forgive sin (albeit it’s not the priest that forgives). Mt 16:19. These apostles have verifiable successes that are ordained to this day. I totally get where you are coming from, I was Protestant for the first 35 years of my life. But once you study their doctrines, you can’t deny. Unfortunately sacred scripture talks about a great deception that causes men to believe lies. Like you, I also subscribed to heresy, I didn’t know any better. You should be angry that you’ve been sold a lie and now believe it. When you persecute the Catholic Church, you are persecuting the Bride of Christ (no the Bride is not the random self declared Christians outside of the church). If you are serious, you need to research their claims yourself. The first thing is to realise that prior to Sacred Scripture being canonised by the Catholic Church (300+yrs after Jesus) their was only Sacred Tradition (oral teachings). John spoke of many things that Jesus did that were not recorded. Those things are known to the Catholic Church in Sacred Tradition. When they put Sacred Scripture into a book, known as the Bible it had an additional 7 books. Luther an excommunicated catholic priest removed 7 books, interestingly those books primarily confined much of the doctrine you deny. Luther actually believed in the communion of Saints and asked Mary to intercede for him. The whole denial of this is only a recent heresy. For 1500 years prior to Luther Christianity was solely catholic. Go to a catholic apologist site and research everything yourself. Once you discover the truth, find a parish and do the RCIA program. Then try and save as many deceived non Catholics as possible. Their souls matter.

@ODMA That's not what Mathew 16:19 means. It actually means the church is to spread the gospel and tell people of the coming of the Kingdom of God. They have no authority to forgive, only to let people know how to do it according to the words of Jesus. It is up to each individual to ask forgiveness directly to Jesus. Not through any mediator.
@Dr Jan Christ is found in God's Word as well. I'm not a Catholic but I've put my faith and trust in Jesus alone as my Lord and Savior. I go to church to continue to grow spiritually.

Then why did Christ appoint Peter as the first Pope (Matthew 16:16-19), sent the Apostles out to evangelize all nations, and Baptise, in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, and in Matthew 28: 18: Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” And why in John 6 do we see Jesus allowing thousands to depart from him after He tells them: 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” 52 The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.b 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.” 59 These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. The Words of Eternal Life. 60 Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” 61 Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you? 62 What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?* 63 It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh* is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.c 65 And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.” 66 As a result of this, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. 67 Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” 70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?” 71He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot; it was he who would betray him, one of the Twelve. Then in John 14:26 The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name-he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you." So, if all that was required was the one verse you quote, which is true, you must believe in everything Christ taught to the Apostles AND all The Holy Spirit taught them 'everything' as they then went out into the world and formed The Catholic Church, which, as you see, was founded by Christ on Peter the authorized Head of the Catholic Church, is worldwide and The Holy Spirit taught 'everything'. So, to refuse it, is refusing Christ as He intended to set apart those who merely 'say' they believe from True believers, who have truly accepted 'everything.' I pray this makes sense as Christ told the Samaritan women that there would come a time to worship in Spirit and Truth. This, is, The One, Holy, Roman Catholic & Apostolic Church today. Then in John 3:18 says ‘Whosoever Believes ( Trust) in Him (Jesus) is NOT condemned, BUT whosoever does NOT BELIEVE ( not trusting) in Him stands condemned already because they has not believed in in Name of God’s one and only Son ( Jesus). In Titus 3:5, ‘ He ( Jesus) Saves us , NOT because of righteous works or deeds we had done, but because of His mercy, Jesus saves us through washing of rebirth and renewal by Holy Spirit. That’s the Gospel. Now here’s what Galatians 1:9 says ‘As we have said before: IF anyone preaches ANY other Gospel ( Good News) contrary to the ones you accepted, Let them be under God’s curse!’ So there you have it. The Virgin of Revelation (Our Lady) appeared to Bruno, the Protestant ,in Rome in 1947, and She convert him to Catholicism. So, Let us pray to the Virgin of Revelation for all the protestants for their conversion.
Maybe you darling Catholics should stop wasting your efforts and time on other Christians and concentrate on saving the rest of the population. And maybe try praying to Jesus? I worry about you guys sometimes..

@@evinpokkonen4241 I'd just like to point out that this is an homily by a Catholic priest and the darling Protestants are here telling Catholics they are wrong in their beliefs and trying to set us straight. We do pray to Jesus, we pray to all 3 persons of the Holy Trinity, we pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Saints, and the Holy Angels for intercession for us and for you. We pray for your conversion because we are commanded to concern ourselves with the disposition of your souls; and we offer the sacrifice of the Holy Mass from sunup to sundown unceasingly. Don't worry for us, we have confidence and trust we are in God's hands. But thanks for your concern (and subtle condescension - "blessed are you when you are reviled and persecuted"). No hard feelings. God bless you.
Which Catholic Church is the right one? There are 23 kinds (eastern and western orthodox)……then there are 51 orders! And then….the de Medici Family picked 4 popes so the perfect line of popes spiritually chosen was broken!
John 6:53, the infidel insists on interrogating God; and then hardening his heart - verse 61. Our Lord notes, "Doth this scandalize you?" (John 6:62). 1 Peter 1:20 denounces private interpretation of scripture and 2 Peter 3:16 warns that the unlearned wrest scripture to their own perdition. 'Remove not the ancient landmarks which thy fathers have set,' (Proverbs 22:28), which 'sola scriptura' has done. Kyrie eleison.
While a number of good points are made in this homily, I can't help wondering if the summation (beginning around 12:45) is not teaching Feeneyism which was condemned in 1949. Could someone please explain if/how this is NOT the case?
Father Feeney taught that water Baptism was essential for salvation and denied the doctrines of Baptism of Desire and Baptism of Blood. Specifically, Fr. Feeney said that a soul could be "justified" through Baptism of Desire, and have his Original Sin be cleaned (thus be in a state of grace), but enter into the Beatific Vision. That was a specific heresy that he taught.
Feeneyism so called was " condemned via an unsigned decree. You might want to do some deeper digging. Try and find a copy of Gary Potter's After the Boston Heresy Case. You'll see from the info presented Father Feeney was not excommunicated for Heresy he was punished for disobedience in not reporting to a tribunal. THe Modernist were well established under Pius XII and the Fr Feeney affair shows their power.
No salvation outside of Jesus, none of us are good, nor could be. This is why Jesus had to die for us, he died on the cross for our sins, stating that the work was finished. Faith in Christ alone, and what He did alone, we can not add anything to his work.
1. where does the Scriptures EVER say salvation comes "thru the church"? the "church" is comprised of those who are saved already, the body of Christ. so if catholics cant know if they are saved, then to what "church" do they belong?the bible i read says salvation comes be faith is Christ. it is HE who saves. 2. where did Jesus ever teach that any man can do anything to save another? if the blood of thousands of lambs at the hands of thousands of priests cannot save, then no priest today can save, except the High Priest, the Lamb of God. He alone has the power to forgive sin and save. salvation brings u INTO the body of Christ, so if u arent saved u are NOT part of His church. 3. if u are trusting a corrupt "priesthood" filled with pedophiles, adulterers, drunks and mystics to dispense only a "hope" of salvation, the lost you are and lost u will remain. If Jesus cannot save all by Himself, the He is not God 4. "if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you WILL be saved" (romans 10:9) "I am the way, the truth and the life. NO man comes to the Father except through ME" (john 14:6) now tell me where in there it says anything about a priest, a church, a ritual etc??
@John Yang *150+ verses say Jesus, Apostles and NT Church appealed to Scriptures/Written Word only for doctrines. Not once they took doctrines from traditions of Moses or Pharisees. This is already Sola Scriptura. There are 150+ verses that points to Written Word as the source for doctrines. Just look for the words "it is written", "as the Scriptures say" ..* *So you are claiming Jesus, APostles and NT Church were practising "traditions of men"?* you said Where does bible say it must be in bible or is that your tradition of man?
So what happens when you have a Pope that teaches salvation is open to all, not just Catholics? I am not the perfect Catholic but sometimes I wonder if I am more Catholic than our current Pope.
1. No one is good. 2. salvation is a gift from God 3.Salvaion is dependent on God not us. 4.Salvation is assured as stated in the scriptures. 5. outside of Jesus there is no salvation possible The church was founded by God Eph 2:19-22 and the roman Catholic church was not founded by God . 6:12 reasonably assured of salvation? is that the best you can do?it must be because so far not one scripture is presented to prove anything. Next up is the protestant and what he does when dying? 6:32 start of the list, .woohoo a good protestant will not pray to the blessed virgin , make a confession , bow to the pope, nor will he pray to the angels and saints in heaven, nor will he pray for the souls in purgatory! he will not ask for prayers after he dies and he will never have gone to confession! There is so much man made beliefs that you MUST do to be a roman Catholic when the scriptures clearly tell you the you must be born again , confess with your mout that Jesus is Lord , repent of the direction of your life and follow Jesus. Focus your eyes on the author and finisher of your faith not on a church that tells you that you must believe them or else. Follow Jesus
Well, if you are a catholic, you too are an unbeliever. catholicism is in reality just atheism. The 100% false manmade cult of catholicism has nothing to do with the God nor Christianity of the Bible.
@@levibell97 ,...I have spoken the truth. If you think water baptism dose something for you, then you do not at all understand the Bible. Those few who Jesus came to save understand the Bible. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
It is not a "rejection" of specific Catholic ideas by Protestants after their baptism, if they were never taught them. A post-baptismal denial of faith is a grave sin. But NOT for a Protestant who was never given the full deposit of faith. They are NOT denying something if they were never told something. They are not heretics. They are ignorant. (Well, many of them).
That teaching comes from an extra biblical source. The same source also said that we could give money to the church to provide forgiveness of sins which is a massive insult to Jesus considering the price he paid with his blood on the cross
"So then, the Word of the Lord to them has become nothing but: do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there- so then as they try to move forward, they fall backward and are injured and snared and captured" (Isaiah 28)
“9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.“ -Romans 10:9-10 Do Catholics believe this verse is false? Catholic beliefs seem to unbelievably contradict what these verses and many other verses say. I consider myself to be a Protestant, but I really do have desire to follow God the way he wants to be followed, and I feel like the Catholic Church heavily contradicts the Bible to my understanding. How can Romans 10:9-10 be true if the Catholic faith is also true?
@FireKoovin What’s hard for me is that a lot of the things I have heard from Catholics seem to contradict the Bible, and it seems like Catholics believe that they have authority to create doctrine. Some of the doctrine that they make feels to me like man-made doctrine that has nothing to do with Jesus’ words, and I always thought that Jesus wanted to eliminate man-made rules so that we could fully focus on him and his words.
@@brennanbradley7170 no alot of the doctrine are based on gnostic, Jewish, and early Christian ideas. @FireKoovin But if all Christian’s have to believe in these things, wouldn’t that mean the Bible is incomplete? Where in the Bible does it say that we should pray for souls in purgatory? Where in the Bible does it say Mary was sinless? Where in the Bible does it say we need to ask Saints who have passed to pray to God for us? Where does it say that the papacy was meant to be past down from one man to another? I’m just having a hard time seeing why I would ever want to be Catholic based on what the Bible says.

What does belief mean, include and require? Muslims "believe" in Jesus, so Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. Even Satan believes in Him, but that doesn't mean they're Christians.
@@lukebrasting5108They don’t though. They believe He is a good man, even a prophet. But they do not believe He is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus made is very clear who He was, and is, and is yet to come. It is by grace alone, through faith alone, by which we are saved.
@@thans111 So you admit that belief in Jesus isn't enough then? You can't just have any kind of belief in Him but you need RIGHT BELIEF? That's my point. You need true supernatural saving faith, and Protestants don't have that. They believe in a false Christ, not the historical Christ of the Bible and the early Church. And you just proved it by spewing heresy like faith alone saves, when Jesus clearly says that baptism is the means by which He pours out His saving and regenerating grace: "Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." - John 3:5 You reject Christ's teaching on baptism and believe it's just a symbol and that all you need is belief, a mere mental assent, but that's not what the Bible tecahes or what the first Christians believed and taught. "Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you.." - 1 Peter 3:21 "And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38
@@lukebrasting5108 My friend if you read the entire context you would understand being born of water is natural birth, Jn 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Baptism of the spirit has nothing to do with water. Ephesians 1: 13 In Him you also, after hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and after believing in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. As a thought experiment for Catholics who think those outside the church can't make it to heaven, I want you to consider this short biography of St. Seraphim, an Orthodox saint who was never in the Catholic church: One day, while chopping wood, Seraphim was attacked by a gang of thieves who beat him mercilessly with the handle of his own axe. He never resisted, and was left for dead. The robbers never found the money they sought, only an icon of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) in his hut. Seraphim had a hunched back for the rest of his life. However, at the thieves' trial he pleaded to the judge for mercy on their behalf. He spent five months in the monastery, recovering from his injuries and then returned to the wilderness.[1] After this incident Seraphim spent 1,000 successive nights on a rock in continuous prayer with his arms raised to the sky, a feat of asceticism deemed miraculous by the Eastern Orthodox Church, especially considering the pain from his injuries. Do you believe this man is going to hell?
@@deerlow1851 Really? So I would be correct to say that like Christ and the apostles you don't say mass, don't pray to Mary or saints, no rosary, we receive Christ by faith, not by eating Him, only God forgives sin, Mary did not remain a virgin?
As a Protestant, one who is baptized in the Trinitarian faith, who loves the Lord deeply, who reads his Bible and prays for the good of others and his enemies, who holds strongly to the Word of God, and confesses and repents of his sins in prayer to the Lord Jesus, I am assured and confident of my salvation. The Catholic Church has every right to claim descendency from Peter, but to claim that Protestants who have faith in Jesus Christ are not assured of salvation or to claim that Protestants will not enter heaven, is itself a blasphemy. Romans 10, Ephesians 9, etc all declare that the ONLY way to heaven is through Christ and Christ ALONE. Praying to the saints doesn’t earn salvation, praying to Mary doesn’t earn salvation. Only belief in Christ as the son of God does.
Ugh that’s not what it means. It simply means “if you are looking for salvation, the only place you will find it is in the one true church”. It doesn’t mean that non Catholics are doomed to hell.
Don’t forget the thief on the cross. Bro had absolutely NO sort of association with any kind of church and went to heaven because he believed and had faith last second. In the year 2000 Born Again Churches from the United States sent their missionaries in the Philippines to re-established the Born Again Movement and this time their primary mission is no longer to infiltrate Protestant and Catholic Churches but targeted the youth in schools particularly college students.Born Again evangelist does not want to discuss the history of the Christian church, in their Bible studies with their prospects, they intentionally limit the discussion to the Bible alone. They conceal the history of the Christian religion because it will show that their movement did not originate from the apostles. It is necessary for them to negate history because St. Paul warned us not to accept teachings that did not originate from the apostles Gal.1:8 and Born Again Movement evidently cannot trace the history of their church into the time of the apostles.Clearly Born Again evangelization has deception as its chief foundation and they even used selected passages from the Bible to deceive people. They usually start evangelizing by asking ambiguous questions such as “Are you saved?” or “Are you born again?”, if the person answers “no or I don’t know” they will tell you that you must accept Christ as a Lord and Personal Savior in order to be born again otherwise you will be damned to hell. And if the person will answer “yes” they will invite you to their church and worship with them. And if the person is a Catholic that would mean that you have to leave the Catholic Church and do away your Catholic beliefs about Mary, the Saints, confession etc. Let us be vigilant not to fall to the snares of the Born Again movement.😉😉

Hello! I have a question: I am a Roman Catholic. I have friends who are Protestants, who really seek and love God. I never participate in any official Protestant prayer services. Is it a sin if I asked my Protestant friends to pray for me? I've read today the words of St. Liguori, and now I am confused and worried. Let's assume it is a sin to ask your Protestant friend to pray for you, BUT you don't know it's a sin, is it venial sin then? Help, I have no knowledge about this subject (I started to read about traditional Catholicism recently and it's like a completely alternative reality to the one I know) , so I need someone to explain it to me. (And thank you in advance!).
The word "personal relationship " doesn't have to be in the bible rather the concept of needing have a personal relationship needs be taught in Scripture which it is...for instance enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’...Here you have people that may have done a bunch of stuff and yet Jesus said He never knew them (obviously that means you need personal relationship). You don't require the word Trinity to be in the Scripture so why do you require the word "personal relationship " be in the Scripture? It's because you have a double standard towards your Protestant friends...Also Protestant Christian believe in the Trinity even though the word itself is not in the Bible again because the concept/doctrine is clearly taught in Scripture...I say that in case you try to say Protestant require that the exact word be in Scripture Sola Scriptura doesn't require that.
Protestants do attend church on Sunday and participate in communion as well. As Catholics under the impression that we worship on a different day or perhaps don't gather at all?
The priest is correct in that there is no guarantee of final salvation, simply in that we haven't died yet. We can generally be sure that we are in a state of grace though.
It is not the church who decides salvation, it is God who will judge all mens hearts and his justice is merciful and perfect. I have faith in that promise and while not catholic I sacrifice for God and do my very best to be worthy of that mercy

The things necessary to be saved are to believe in Christ, to believe with all your heart that Christ died for your sins,to ask him to forgive your sins, to ask the Holy Spirit to change you and to obedient to him. I have been baptised, taken holy communion, belong to an anglican parish church but we are a mixture of people, with different church backgrounds, who as a church family of Christians worship and praise Christ, take communion, can be confirmed, pray for our sins to be forgiven , I pray to Christ or pray to the Father as this is who Jesus taught us to pray to,he didn't ask us to pray to anyone else. Only Christ can forgive my sins, nobody else, vicars and priests are sinners too, they are leading worship and teaching us about God , but are on their own journeys with Christ. Everyone who has ever lived including thr Saints are sinners only the Father and Christ himself are sinless. There are two commandments Christ gave us and it is difficult enough as a human being to really keep those commandments without adding anything man made to them. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul this is the first and greatest commandment and the second to love your neighbour as yourself, if you keep these than you keep all of God's commandments. The basic belief of Christians that sets us apart from any other religion is that a true Christian has assurance of salvation.

I need prayers. I know there are probably just two people praying for me, and I’m not even sure about them. I’m a cradle Catholic, and have been through quite a journey. Because of a life filled with struggle and prolonged abuse of all sorts, I became an atheist at some point, and then, about six years ago, I started believing in God again. Ever since then, it’s been a rollercoaster between different Christian denominations. I’ve been studying, losing sleep, I got deceived by false doctrines, but I haven’t stopped believing in the Trinity, and in Jesus. I pray to Mary and the Saints now. I’m making my way back to Catholicism, but there’s a huge stumbling block for me: going to Confession. I have severe social phobia and complex PTSD, which makes every day of my life really hard. I get panic attacks just thinking about going to confession, and this is not about what I would confess, it’s something that I remember causing me great anxiety even when I used to go as a child. Hard to explain, but it just makes me miserable. It would cause me to be in a heightened state of anxiety between one confession and another because I know that the next one is coming up. I confess my sins, with deep sorrow, to God in private. I pray acts of contrition, I desperately ask Him to please forgive me about not managing to go to Confession. There’s nothing more I desire than spending eternity with Him, even if it means centuries spent in Purgatory. I love Him, yet I am afraid. I wish I could find peace, and praying the Our Father is what helps to calm me the most. So, this is my situation, and I’m asking anyone who reads this to please pray for me. Please pray that God have Mercy on me and saves me, despite missing Confession (and therefore the Eucharist, too). I would gladly take the Eucharist but I know it’s prohibited to do so unless one has been to confession first. God, have mercy on me. 😢

St. Louis de Montfort "The Little Number of those Who are Saved" I don't know how people can come across and learn about not only Who was Jesus Christ and what factually happened before, during and after his life but also learn about all the prophets, what they said, what was fulfilled, all the mystics and Saints, what they said and did, The Shroud of Turin, etc etc and still turn away or continue denying. Humans are just weird
There are serious questions regarding the validity of that sermon though; which are worth noting. For one, he said 36,000 people died that hour. Right now, about 6,000 people die every hour despite there being about 6.5 Billion more people alive now than there were then. Either there was something particularly cataclysmic at the moment, or let’s just say his math is questionable at best. The second issue is that many saints don’t agree with him. Saint Francis de Sales, for example, believed that it would be possible for the majority of Catholics to be saved; though that would be a minority within humanity’s history. The third problem is that this is by far, the most specific numbers ever given, by far, ever. If our Lord didn’t find it fit to give numbers, and no other Saint even thought it worthy to speculate, how come there is one Saint who comes along and quotes a vision from somebody else in order to give precise numbers? I would say the Saint is certainly not infallible in this sermon - but because it also goes against the grain compared to everyone else; I would not be surprised if the vision he quotes was demonic for the purpose of bringing despair among Catholics. This would not be impossible, as even the wonderworking Saint Vincent Ferrer backed an antipope.
@Pavel No, he didn't. The reason why we have fewer deaths today is due to modern medicine. Something that he didn't take into account as well that people lived shorter lives back then. Lots of people died of diseases faster.
So wait. My salvation is in question because I rebuke the liberal ideologies of the current pope and view them as heresy? I’ve been seriously considering the Catholic Church, but videos like this are what push me so much farther into evangelical NON denominational Christianity. I have the same faith as the thief on the cross. And I do not need to call a bishop “your excellency” to obtain salvation. I worship Christ alone.
If you believe in the finished work of Jesus you are saved and belong to his church you don’t need to be in a specific denomination to be considered part of the “real” church the church are the people of God who believe.
"I have the same faith as the thief on the cross" - Well said, Amen. If we were to believe in this catholic doctrine, then Christ was not telling him the truth. They have completely moved the bar of salvation to something man made. The "real" church is not the catholic church.

52 The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

65 And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”
66 As a result of this, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.
67 Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”
70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?”

This video is what religious Catholic are saying about salvation but … Let’s see what the BIBLE, God’s words, says about salvation Act 4:12 says very clearly that Salvation is found in no one else! God has given NO name under heaven by we must be saved’ because the only ONE name, that is Jesus! (Not Mary, no pope, no attending church can saves us ) In John 14:6,’ Jesus said “I Am the way , the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me ( Jesus)” again nothing here says Mary , Pope nor attend Church can saves us. John 3:16 ‘For God so loved the world that he sent His begotten Son that WHOEVER believes ( trust ) in Him ( Jesus) shall Never Parishes but have everlasting life. It’s not required to talk to Mary , Pope , attending church , talking to angels in order to be saved. Don’t let man’s religious tradition tells you otherwise nor twist other than what God’s word, Bible says. Only one way according to God’s word is to repent and believe on Lord Jesus. Invite Him to be Lord and Savior.

13For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, 14saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.” 15And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise. 16For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation. 17So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, 18so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. 19We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, 20where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

“Oh foolish ones, slow in heart to believe all that the prophets have said.”

"Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." - John 3:5
You reject Christ's teaching on baptism and believe it's just a symbol and that all you need is belief, a mere mental assent, but that's not what the Bible tecahes or what the first Christians believed and taught.
"Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you.." - 1 Peter 3:21
"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

Ephesians 1: 13 In Him you also, after hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and after believing in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

In the Orthodox Church, it's generally held that yes, good protestants will go to heaven
As a thought experiment for Catholics who think those outside the church can't make it to heaven, I want you to consider this short biography of St. Seraphim, an Orthodox saint who was never in the Catholic church:
One day, while chopping wood, Seraphim was attacked by a gang of thieves who beat him mercilessly with the handle of his own axe. He never resisted, and was left for dead. The robbers never found the money they sought, only an icon of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) in his hut. Seraphim had a hunched back for the rest of his life. However, at the thieves' trial he pleaded to the judge for mercy on their behalf. He spent five months in the monastery, recovering from his injuries and then returned to the wilderness.[1]
After this incident Seraphim spent 1,000 successive nights on a rock in continuous prayer with his arms raised to the sky, a feat of asceticism deemed miraculous by the Eastern Orthodox Church, especially considering the pain from his injuries.
Do you believe this man is going to hell?
And Christians believe people in the Orthodox church can go to heaven if they are born again and follow the teachings of Christ.
@@sammygomes7381 Do you know that Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church and hasn't changed much since the days of Christ?

ONE LORD ONE FATIH ONE BAPTISM “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” (Ephesians 4:4-6) The one baptism (and the only valid baptism), is the baptism of the one faith, the baptism authorized by the one Lord and practiced by the one body, the church of Christ. “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13).
"Are you born again-the way the Bible understands that concept?" If the Evangelical has not been properly water baptized, he has not been born again "the Bible way," regardless of what he may think. The Born Again Movement traces its origin early in the 19th century.Born Again Movement arrived at our shores in the late 1930’s and gained its popularity in the 70’s and 80’s which is considered the golden era of Born Again Movement During these years membership in various Born Again Churches increased because they where able to infiltrate mainline Protestant Churches and had lured nominal Catholics into their fold. However their steady growth ceases starting the year 1990 and their membership declined in the succeeding years.

We pray for them every day. I don't believe it's a sin of any kind. But you can always ask your priest/pastor.
Mate it all comes down to your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
@@CH3353N1NJ45”personal relationship” never in bible
It is a sin but if you didn't know it's venial.

Where is that in scripture?
The things necessary to be saved are to believe in Christ, to believe with all your heart that Christ died for your sins,to ask him to forgive your sins, to ask the Holy Spirit to change you and to obedient to him. Being a Christian has nothing to do with religion, its about your relationship with Christ and to let the holy spirit work in you and obey him . I pray that you ask God forgiveness for the false things you teach such as purgatory, the Bible is the truth not the lies of men or the Church. You only have to learn about some of the Pope's of the past to know they are not from God.
The word “church” means Called Out Ones…… everyone who takes faith in Jesus…..who he is and what he accomplished is called out from this world….separate/holy! They are saved by faith in Jesus by the Grace of God. You cannot be saved by a particular church membership!

I will pray for you Trish. The seal of the confessional is trustworthy. ❤

Once again, thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them more than I can express. ✝️🙏🫂
St. Louis de Montfort "The Little Number of those Who are Saved"
I don't know how people can come across and learn about not only Who was Jesus Christ and what factually happened before, during and after his life but also learn about all the prophets, what they said, what was fulfilled, all the mystics and Saints, what they said and did, The Shroud of Turin, etc etc and still turn away or continue denying. Humans are just weird
Saint Leonard of Port Maurice is the author, not saint Louis de Montfort.
