Scalloped neck at the 12th fret. Ive been using thinner picks 0.88 mm tortex to increase precision similar perhaps to precision for the fretting hand but instead for the picking hand. Thx for your lesson.
I love seeing arpeggio lines where the descending is Lagato because my descending sweep picking is still not up to par so it’s much easier for me to hammer on the descending notes of a arpeggio pattern. I definitely need to work on my sweep picking with the right hand.
Try ascending 16ths where the last pick is an upstroke. This will transfer to arpeggios using an upstroke. Likely there is tension in the picking hand during an upstroke, try various note sequences with a metronome, lesser notes per string say pentatonic at a faster bpm and then slower bpm but more notes per string the timing and muscle feel very different. Also, try diff width picks. A thinner pick will train speed rather than force and aids in detecting errors say a 0.88 mm tortex for a while then back to a 1 mm pick.

the first note of the arpeggio is tabbed wrong, it's a hammer-on from nowhere, not a tapped note, and also when it reaches the top E (or D) string there's a tap written on the 14th fret...
Thanks for pointing it out. Tapping can also stand for hammering from nowhere, back in the day the term tapping was not only limited to the left hand, a hammer on from nowhere could also be referred as a tapped note. I wouldn‘t necessarily do this, but these tabs are coming straight from Christian so maybe that is his approach. The tapping on the 14th fret of the E string could be a little mistake. It happens. ☺️
