  • First tests with the digital stabilization of the GoPro Hero 5 while walking, running and orbiting around an object. Please be aware that this is an extreme situation for digital image stabilization without any gimbal. I expect way better results when snowboarding or during car-rides.
I also ran Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro on the stabilized shots to see how far you can get with only digital stabilization and what impact it has on the image quality.
Shot in 2.7k 60 fps and rendered to 1080p.

NEOSOLAIRIS it doesn't perform well for walking, you really need a gimbal for that. however I found that it works really well for micro jitters e.g. when doing handheld shots while standing. I also think for snowboarding it's working quite well, however I didn't find time to compare snowboarding or skiing shots with and without stabilisation yet

azzurohere i have a gimbal for the hero 4 its awesome. But i cant carry that big thing anywhere just with regular walking it kills the shot. >_< they need to make one not for sports so they can make one with the mechanical stabilization idk more like for not crashing or going. Nuts just filming lol
