Isn't the metal back part of the Triac also connected to the drain of the Triac. Would putting the metal heat sink without using an insulating pad between the Triac and heat sink get you zapped if you touched the heat sink.

Thank you for the video, please I need help with mine. I stays at 750 temperature. even when I put it at 100 temp. This behavior makes the rework becomes very hot with in seconds.

What is the value of the transistor that is located near the relay and the 2 capacitors? Mine got burnt and had a very hard time looking for the actual transistor value. Thank you in advance.

Can you test the working triac in the multimeter,and show the readings.Cannot identify as the new triacs are also coming faulty,in shop.

Good day sir. I have a lukey 800 rework station and its not heating even when i replace the element with the knew one. Both BTA08 Traic are checked with maltimeter and are correctly fine but the rework station doesn't work still

Mine can reach target temperature but the heat light turns off and is not flashing. Then temperature drops quickly and after more than 10 seconds it turns on and turns off again. Keeps the loop. Could you help to tell me what I need check? The temperature cannot be hold in +-10c range and drops too much.

My blower heater is not lowering even I have changed its triac bta16 and diac.db3.potiential meter,then also its giving full ac 230v to the coil..cannot understand the cause of the problem.
So can I make fan regulator connection,for controlling heat.

air pump is working now. issue right now is the heating element is not heating up...i tested the triac is working but heating element is still not working...directly remove heating element and connected to 220v and heating element is working...what part is not working? could it also be the relay? when does the relay clck/switches on? the output voltage going to the heating element is 147v AC volts? should it be 220v AC?

my smd is suddenly slow down and not working.
both the air and heating indicator lights are off and not working.
when i am on the smd sounds like beep but works.
before start switch on power supplies to all the parts in the board but after on the start switch not supply power to parts.
please advise me.

I bought heater handle n it has 4 wires black n red ,n two white wires,when i connected to multimeter i got beep sounds in black n red wires but got 80 omhs in two white wires,can i connect ac directly via regulator or is it to connect via dc voltage.reply soon bro

One pair of wires is the heat sensor and the other one is the wire for the coil. At 220 volts 80 ohms coil will pull 600 watts, i am assuming white wires are from the heating coils and the red/black wires are from the "thermocouple" heat sensor which will appear as dead short in multimeter.
But be sure about the connections before connecting it to the 220v live. Use ac regulator 220 volt or above rating.

Hi sir my hot air gun over heat i check triac is good not shorted i changed lm358 n moc 3041 n its still over heat. I even buy new hot air gun n its still over heat. Its a 852d+

Check the variable potentiometer for temperature adjustments. It might be the fault.

I am having problem with blower. The blower says 24 volts. But it only puts out between 7 to 14 volts.
I replaced the 10K trim pot to get better control. But still max voltage remains 14 volts.

Can we use BTA06 in place of BTA12

BTA06 is only 6 amp capacity and the other one is 12 amp.
You can use 2 BTA06 in parallel connection that will work too if BTA12 not available.
