That was one of the single most informative videos I have seen of the process of doing a mold. This would have severely shortened my learning curve when I was trying to make a hatch and gutter awhile ago.
I've learned a lot from your channel over the years. I went from knowing so little about fiberglass work that I didn't know there were different types of resins to replacing the transom in my 23 foot catamaran. Which included gelcoat application in addition to when and where to use poly versus epoxy and compatibility between the two. Keep the content coming, it is valuable!
Thanks. I was very worried about the length but wanted to test it out and see if people like it. I probably could’ve trimmed it shorter but maybe next time I’ll work on cutting out the larger gaps.
the long form is great I really like seeing the steps to the project and the products, I have a dream of completely gutting my skiff and these are cool
Great video! I've seen creators do huge projects... and they don't go into details or share how they are doing the little things. I come away not learning anything from them. I took away a bunch just from this small part and your insights. For some reason I never connected fin rollers being made that way in order to chase bubbles out, but also to leave the right amount of resin so it doesn't get too dry and delaminate.
Appreciate the feedback. I’ve always tried to keep my videos under 15 minutes but I agree that if someone watching really wants to learn the entire process a lot of times I’m cutting out the finer details.
@boatcrafterscollective Awesome long format video that serves for multiple applications in small parts fabrication! What laser cutter do you use? Thanks

Thanks man super appreciated. Trying to make longer videos on a lot of my upcoming projects.
