    A lot of people - like myself - lean too far back on our heels because we're using our back (not our abs) to stabilize ourselves. Learning forward slightly with the slightly bent knees (like they say) will help strength our abs. Great advice all around.

    Thanks guys. I am a CNC machinist, 56 years young and have lots of back pain at days end, ironically , it’s mostly mid back (tight muscles), and of course lower back hurts also.
    I have found that sciatica stretches temporarily give me relief. I also have an inversion table at home. I use a roll up camping sleeping bag mat to stand on, and lastly, one thing that has made a HUGE improvement in how my hips and Knees and feet feel is I ended up purchasing a pair of ON running shoes, that have a significant improvement on how I feel after 9 hours on a shop floor.

    Brad - "We are the two most famous physical therapists on the internet." Me - "Well if someone says so on the internet, then it MUST be true!" Seriously though, I like that one using the two chairs for traction. I am currently trying to think of what I've got around here in this small apartment with just me in it, but I'll probably come up with something.

    Why haven't someone invented a device to relieve the foot & back pain from standing long times in one area/place? Possibly a levitation device that hangs your body above the floor a few micro inches, but allows movements or working when needed?

    • @paulpatriot1776
      @paulpatriot1776 3 роки тому

      I would purchase such a device tomorrow if I could. I have thought the same thing for years, lol😉

    • @sussanalee430
      @sussanalee430 2 роки тому

      @@paulpatriot1776 Yep, then you'll be dependent on the device and lose muscle tone. Then injure yourself when you have to perform. That's why hospitals get you up walking after surgery. Heals faster too because of better blood and nutrient circulation. Bodies are meant to move anyway. Jabba the Hut has no arms or legs, moves like the slugg. That he is.
