How fun to travel down memory lane 7 years ago! That's about when I found your channel and it has been a life changing experience, I cannot thank you, Bob, Brad and Mike, these videos are so helpful and appreciated!
I found this on my own after having low back pain when doing dishes or brushing teeth: Don't stand up half bent over the sink (creates rounded back), push the butt back instead, like in a standing ready position (like football players). It may look funny, but takes almost all pressure off of the back and keeps the back nice and straight. So, stand (vertical) and then move trunk forward by pushing the butt back (e.g. see Dan John vids on how to get used to a proper hip hinge), also could be explained as what your back and butt and legs do just as you're about to sit down, but stop at 10-20% from vert. For me this is much easier than putting a foot up on something.
This was a wonderful flashback to a classic video. Thanks for the smiles and chuckles and super-helpful info! p.s. During the last segment, the two close-ups of Mike’s head were a nice touch. 🙃
about the straight leg straight back picking things up.... disagree, here's why: i do roman chair with 45 lb plates and i swear nothing has helped my 8 year back pain more than strengthening these muscles.

It's like our furniture is made by a country of smaller statured people.....um....imagine that.
Well I am a short person having to adapt to larger furniture so it works both ways!
Thank you! I’m going to pay better attention to hell. I’m preparing food and cutting vegetables at the counter.
