LYRICS:
Stop, now let’s begin
You’re in too deep to go back again
Cash, it’s pay to play
You want more hits than Lemonade
No, You don’t own me
You don’t even know me
Who, this vagabond
With a two part path to the great beyond
How, stay genuine
A ground floor opp, I can help you find
Oh, you’re a dreamer
Call me when you’re Bieber
And when they play it you can’t help but sing along
That’s nothin odd, that’s nothin wrong
Cause a good song never dies
It’s just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
Dies
Hope, the wonder drug
Don’t work no more, think I took too much
Sweat, your equity
Make the caffeine be your weaponry
What is the reason
There never was one needed
Fear, it’s all around
But it weighs too much to slow you down
Now, is the time to act
Cause the best defense is a timeless track
No, you don’t own me
You don’t even know me
And when they play it you can’t help but sing along
That’s nothing odd, that’s nothing wrong
Cause a good song never dies
It just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
There was a moment a hole opened in the sky
A chance to join their pantheon
For all the times they never heard your battle cry
Now even angels sing along
Cause a good song never dies
It just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never dies
Like a lover who won’t back down
They pull you over to the side
Look you straight into the eyes
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never

I recently realised that I vibe super hard with what most people would call ‘villain songs.’ That cool, slightly sinister feeling with a good melody and strong beat. This song ABSOLUTELY is my exact type of shit.
What are some other super villain songs?
@@babybobo1231AJJ's album called "People who can eat other people are the luckiest people in the world" has quite a few villain songs such as "Bad Bad things" or "Brave as a noun". They're anxiety songs but they have a very strong villain edge. This song makes me think of a very specific scenario.
Two childhood or high school friends meet again after a good swath of time with little to no contact.
The perspective character (or singer), has gotten into shady & questionably moral but highly profitable risky business & is trying to convince their old friend to get into it, exploiting the nostalgia their former relationship brings & reassuring them that they're still that good kid they met all that time ago.
Since the song has a very spy thriller vibe to it, I'd like to think the shady friend is hiring the good friend to be a hitman & actually succeeds in getting them into into the fold- the marks getting more & more morally dubious as the instrumental gets more intense & sinister. With the final drop the song goes out on playing as the good friend breaks out of the shady friend's trance & escapes the business or gives them a taste of the medicine they themselves bought.
That is the plot of war dogs...

@D3 I don’t fully understand the meaning of this song yet so I can’t guarantee what style it is, but from the tit bit of context that I got from the lyrics, it’s a song talking about an often serious subject but put in a very upbeat, happy tone, songs like this I do enjoy a lot, but I think the best recommendation I could think of out of this style is “Choke” by I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, I just think they’re similar in some way
@@toeseater2855 I think they're literally just saying good songs never die.
@jacob. From a few lyrics I’ve picked up I think they’re talking about how painful the live of a famous artist is, like “you’re in too deep to go back again” saying how the person has became too famous that he cannot turn back anymore even if he wants to or “no, you don’t own me, you don even know me” (could be) talking about how the fans that would follow the artist everywhere he goes and basically control or own his life by trying to cancel him every time the artist did some thing they don’t like
@@nemabobo I think it was already mentioned, but a lot of songs by I Don’t Know How But They Found Me have a similar vibe, especially Choke and New Invention (I recommend the version featuring Tessa Violet). Some other songs I think are sort of similar are:
- Poor George by James Supercave (this one is more solemn, though)
- still feel. by half alive
- I Can’t Decide by Scissor Sisters

This feels more like a detective trying to solve unsolved phenomenons in different dimensions and finding gods and shit yeah i got a wild imagination, this music just sounds so carefree but mysterious and cool at the same time
And asking for those god's help to solve and fight bigger threats, I love how your mind works
If you want songs to listen to and let your imagination run wild i’d highly recommend you take a look at some of cosmo sheldrakes songs if you haven’t already

@KriegLord good point
I imagine this person who is kinda in the gray area. They might cause problems for the hero to solve, or make it easier for the villain to enact their plan, but in the end they do it to help people. Or something like that. Doing something bad to come to a good outcome.
