- Got this 1984 Dodge D100 with a Chrysler 360 in the other day for a rear main seal and oil pump replacement and I thought it would be informative to make a video about. This video will apply to anything with a 2 piece rear main seal because it's all the same principle
So what do you think? Love it ? Hate it? Share your opinion.

that's a great tip about cranking the engine over a bit to get the crank in a different position. Every other video I see they lift the engine a couple inches.
Thank you and thank you for watching
This video was incredibly helpful as I'm replacing the seal on my 77 warlock (original rope seal - had to use a drywall screw and incrementally pry with a door panel tool - but stop before it rips out, then retighten, then pry but stop before tear out, then retighten..... eventually it all came out)
I'm glad this video was helpful and thank you for watching
That seal doesn’t look like mine did at removal, lucky!
The rope style I had to pull from my ‘79 was mush. I fear I damaged the block in removal because it dripped a bit before, now it’s a steady flow.
Hope you get her fixed ... gotta keep them old trucks on the road LOL ... thank you for watching
Man, I haven't done one of those in a long time. I remember the first time seeing one, like 2 piece rear main what? After doing it, I was like, not so bad. Great video brother! Full of helpful information. Thanks! 👍👍
Thank you sir I have done some but I'm sure not near as many as you lol. Thank you for watching

Is there some kind of front main seal on these engines? I've been trying to find gaskets for both ends of the crankshaft for mine since its leaking from everywhere
That's what I replaced in this video, hope this helps and thank you for watching
Nice video, thanks for sharing that 👍
Thank you for watching Bubba
I was watching this to see how you put it back in but you skipped that part just like all the other videos I've seen no help

You skip the parts of what your title is. So what's the purpose of your video. Plus your constant waving of the camera gives me a headache.
You must be a special kind of stupid ... you just born that way or did you come special order ???
What is an estimated cost for a job like this?
customer supplied the parts and I charged him around $280 for labor. Keep in mind prices may vary in your area ... thank you for watching
@@CountryMileGarage just dropped it off at the mechanic last night since I don’t have a lift.
Hoping to get an economical estimate.
I would like to see more diy’s for this style of truck. Any possibilities for me content?
@@raulmillan2930 this is a customer's truck all depends on when he brings it in lol. What would you like to see more of on this kind of truck ?
I left at .16 sec. Your loud annoying music needs to go.
That's the old intro
